このように電線群Wの端末に雄ハウジング30が形成され、かつ同雄ハウジング30の後面側にグロメット70が装着されたら、雄ハウジング30が、車両のボディに開口された給電口に臨むようにその内側に配され、雄ハウジング30の基板32に設けられた取付部62が、給電口の口縁部に設けられた被取付部62(図示せず)に当てられてボルト締めされることで固定される。最後に、雄ハウジング30の前面にフロントカバー73が装着されることで、車両側コネクタの取り付けが完了する。
したがって、サブアッシイ77を介して各車両側端子11(端子接続部12)が対応する端子収容室40に収容された場合において、車両側端子11が係止溝55に沿って移動することが規制されるから、車両側端子11(端子接続部12)が端子収容室40内で傾くことがより確実に防止される。また、車両側端子11の被係止溝18が規制突起58を通過した後に係止溝55の奥端に嵌ったときの節度感により、車両側端子11が対応する係止溝55内の正規位置(係止溝55の奥端である係止部56)まで押し込まれたことが確認できる。
次に、本発明の実施形態2を図12ないし図21によって説明する。実施形態2の車両側コネクタ100は、電線を後方に向けて真直に引き出して配線するようにした、いわゆる180度タイプのものである。
以下には、上記実施形態に例示した90度タイプの車両側コネクタ10との相違点を中心に説明する。なお、上記実施形態1と同一機能を備えた部位、部材については、適宜に同一符号を付すことにより、説明を簡略化または省略する。
車両側端子101は基本的には、真直な丸ピン端子から形成されており、2本の雄側のパワー端子101Pと、1本の雄側のアース端子101Gと、2本の雄側の信号用端子101Sとからなる。
3本の太電線20Pは、一括型のシールド電線Wa(キャブタイヤケーブル)として1本に纏められている。
信号用端子101Sは、アース端子101Gと比べて全体として小径であり、かつ端子接続部102が短寸で、保護キャップが装着されない点で異なる。この信号用端子101Sには、小径の電線20S(細電線20S)の端末が接続されている。
なお、大フード部34の上面には、ロック部112を収容したロック収容室113が形成され、基板32の前面には、大フード部34とロック収容室113の回りを囲むようにしてベゼル114が装着されている。また、基板32の背面の上部位置には、ロック部112の誤解除を防ぐことに機能するアクチュエータ115が設けられている。
各端子収容室40の後端寄りの位置には、図14に示すように、対応する車両側端子101の嵌合部105の前面を当てるストッパ壁42が形成され、かつ各ストッパ壁42には、対応する車両側端子101の端子接続部102を挿通する挿通孔43が開口されている。
サブハウジング120は、嵌合筒部35内にほぼすっぽりと嵌合される径寸法と長さ寸法とを有する短寸の円柱状に形成されており、サブハウジング120の前端寄りの外周面にはシールリング121が嵌着され、嵌合筒部35の奥端寄りの内周面に密着可能となっている。
各補助収容室122P,122G,122Sには、対応する車両側端子101(パワー端子101P,アース端子101G,信号用端子101S)が後方から挿入可能であり、それぞれのフランジ106が嵌合可能な径を有している。各補助収容室122の前縁には、それぞれ対応する車両側端子101の嵌合部105が緊密に嵌合するように縮径された連結筒部123が連設されて、サブハウジング120の前面から突出しており、同連結筒部123の後端側の内周面に、嵌合部105に嵌着されたシールリング121が密着可能であるとともに、連結筒部123の前端側が、端子収容室40の後端部に嵌合可能となっている。
なお、サブハウジング120の後面における上段の2個の補助収容室122Pの間の位置には、図15に示すように、温度センサ125が挿入されるセンサ収容室124が形成されている。温度センサ125は、やや縦長の長方形断面をなす角柱状に形成されている。
リテーナ130は合成樹脂製であって、図16及び図17に示すように、上記したサブハウジング120の後面に当てられる円盤状をなす本体板131を備えている。
本体板131には、各車両側端子101の後方に引き出された電線20P,20Sを径方向から挿通可能な5本の係止溝133がそれぞれ周縁に開口した形態で切り込み形成されている。各係止溝133の奥端の縁部は半円形状に形成され、各奥端は、5本の補助収容室122とそれぞれ同心に配されている。
両端の2本の係止溝133Sには、信号用端子101Sに接続された細電線20Sが径方向に挿通可能であり、同係止溝133Sの溝幅は、信号用端子101Sのフランジ106の直径よりも少し小さい寸法である。同係止溝133Sの奥端における前面側の縁部からは、同様の係止部134が突出形成され、係止部134の先端縁に、信号用端子101Sのフランジ106が係止するようになっている。
リテーナ130の本体板131における上縁に開口した2本の係止溝133Pの間の位置には、温度センサ125の係止部として機能するやや縦長の長方形をなす係止孔136が形成されている。
一方、嵌合筒部35の外周面には、図15に示すように、各ロック枠137と対応する都合4箇所の位置において、ロック突部36が形成されている。
電線20P,20Sの端末に接続された5本の車両側端子101(パワー端子101P,アース端子101G,信号用端子101S)が、リテーナ130に対して装着される。各車両側端子101から引き出された電線20P,20Sがそれぞれ、リテーナ130における対応する係止溝133P,133G,133Sに径方向に挿入され、奥端まで挿入されると、図19に示すように、電線接続部103並びに電線20P,20Sの端末が係止部134内に嵌り、続いて各電線20P,20Sを後方に引っ張ると、各車両側端子101のフランジ106が係止部134の先端に係止し、各車両側端子101は後方へ抜け止めされた形態で装着される。
また、温度センサ125は、リテーナ130の係止孔136に通されたのち90度回動させることにより抜け止めされる。
まず、温度センサ125が一旦前方に引っ張り出されて、サブハウジング120のセンサ収容室124に挿入される。続いて、各車両側端子101の端子接続部102が、サブハウジング120の対応する補助収容室122(122P,122G,122S)に後方から挿入され、引き続きリテーナ130は、ロック枠137並びに挟持板138がサブハウジング120の外周面との間にクリアランスを持ちつつ、次第に嵌合される。
車両側端子101のフランジ106が対応する補助収容室122の前端の段差部127(連結筒部123との接続部)に当たる位置まで、リテーナ130が押し込まれると、各車両側端子101の嵌合部105に嵌着されたシールリング107が、対応する連結筒部123の基端側に緊密に嵌着され、その摩擦力により、各電線20P,20S(車両側端子101)の端末に、サブハウジング120とリテーナ130とが一体的に組み付けられた形態(サブアッシイ)を採る。併せて、温度センサ125もセンサ収容室124に収容された形態で、その後面が、係止孔136の前面の側縁に係止されて抜け止めされ、リード線126が後方に引き出される。
このように電線20P,20S、リード線126が電線保持部140の外周面に沿って配線されたら、図19及び図20に概略を示すように、それらの外周にテープTが巻かれることで固定される。さらに、温度センサ125のリード線126は、シールド電線Waに沿うようにして配線される。
本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
(1)リテーナに設けられた電線保持部に沿わせた電線を纏めて固定するのに用いる結束部材としては、上記実施形態に例示したテープ以外に、クリップ等の他の部材を用いてもよい。
(2)実施形態2で例示した180度タイプの車両側コネクタにおいても、リテーナの係止溝の奥端側に、車両側端子に対する移動規制部(規制突起)を設けた構造としてもよい。
逆に、実施形態1の90度タイプの車両側コネクタにおいて、リテーナの係止溝の奥端側に移動規制部(規制突起)を設けることを割愛してもよい。
(4)本発明は、雄ハウジングに対して温度センサを装着しないタイプのものにも、同様に適用することができる。
(5)また本発明は、上記実施形態に例示したプラグインハイブリッド車に限らず、電気自動車に備える車両側コネクタにも同様に適用することができる。

Claims (4)
- 車両に搭載されたバッテリに充電するべく充電用コネクタと嵌合される車両側コネクタであって、
前記充電用コネクタが前方から嵌合可能に車両に設けられたハウジングと、
前記バッテリを含む車両内から引き出された複数本の電線にそれぞれ接続された端子金具と、
前記ハウジングに設けられ前記各端子金具が後方から挿入されて収容される複数の端子収容室と、
前記各端子金具に係止して抜け止めするべく前記ハウジングの後面に組み付け可能なリテーナと、が具備され、
前記リテーナには、同リテーナの後面側に配線された前記各電線を沿わせて結束部材により纏めて保持可能な電線保持部が突出形成されていることを特徴とする車両側コネクタ。 - 前記各電線が、前記ハウジングの後面側において前記端子収容室の軸線に対して略直角をなす方向に引き出されているものであって、
前記電線保持部は、前記リテーナから前記端子収容室の軸線に対して略直角をなす径方向に突出形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両側コネクタ。 - 前記各電線が、前記ハウジングの後面側において前記端子収容室の軸線方向に沿って引き出されているものであって、
前記電線保持部は、前記リテーナから前記端子収容室の軸線に沿うように後方に向けて突出形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両側コネクタ。 - 前記端子金具が丸ピン端子である一方、前記リテーナには、前記端子金具を径方向に挿通可能でかつ同端子金具に設けられた被係止部に係止して軸方向に抜け止めする係止溝が形成されており、
この係止溝の奥端側には、前記端子金具の直径よりも幅狭となった移動規制部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の車両側コネクタ。
