- This invention relates to an apparatus for transferring an article. Particularly, it further relates to an apparatus for turning over and transferring an article from a plurality of first containers disposed on a first conveying means to a plurality of second containers disposed on a second conveying means, wherein the plurality of first containers are horizontally arranged in a line and intermittently conveyed along the first conveying means with a pitch corresponding to the length of the first container, and each of the first containers has a deep box-like shape and houses an article having a rectangular parallelepiped shape, wherein the plurality of second containers are horizontally arranged in a line and intermittently conveyed along the second conveying means with a pitch corresponding to the length of the second container, and each of the second containers has a shallow box-like shape and can house the article, and wherein the second conveying means is placed apart from the first conveying means at a predetermined distance and parallel to the first conveying means.
