Abstract

 本発明は、基材と、間隔を開けて複数形成された線状の金属層と、間隔を開けて複数形成された線状の黒色層とを有する偏光板である。本発明によれば、液晶セルを構成する2枚の偏光板のうち少なくとも一方の偏光板と置き換え可能で、かつ高輝度で鮮明な表示が可能である偏光板、およびこれを用いて高い輝度向上効果を発現する液晶表示装置が提供できる。
