Abstract

L'invention concerne un matériau d'enregistrement sensible à la chaleur possédant un support sur lequel est formé une couche d'enregistrement sensible à la chaleur contenant une teinture incolore donneuse d'électrons et un composé accepteur d'électrons qui réagit avec la teinture incolore donneuse d'électrons pour effectuer la coloration. Des modes de réalisation préférés de cette invention comprennent un mode de réalisation dans lequel le composé accepteur d'électrons est un composé représenté par la formule: R1-Ph-SO2R2, un mode de réalisation dans lequel ce composé possède une hauteur de boucle égale ou inférieure à 5,0 mm, un mode de réalisation dans lequel une densité d'image est égale ou supérieure à 1,20 lorsque l'image est imprimée à chaud avec une énergie d'application de 15,2 mJ/mm2 provenant du côté de la couche d'enregistrement sensible à la chaleur du support, un mode de réalisation dans lequel un coefficient statique et un coefficient dynamique entre la surface avant du matériau possédant au moins une couche d'enregistrement sensible à la chaleur susmentionnée et la surface arrière de ce matériau sont compris dans la plage 0,2 à 0,5, et un mode de réalisation dans lequel la couche contient un pigment faisant preuve d'une absorption d'huile pour une huile de graines de lin cuite de 30 à 200 ml/100g et possédant un diamètre de particule moyen volumétrique compris entre 0,5 et 3 νm. Ce matériau est utilisé dans un dispositif d'enregistrement pouvant imprimer à chaud à une vitesse égale ou supérieure à 10 cm/sec.
