Description

接著裝置、板狀接著體之製造方法
本發明係關於一種於板狀體間填充液體而進行接著之接著裝置,例如係關於一種於影像顯示面板與透明之保護面板等之板狀體間填充光硬化性之樹脂液而製造板狀接著體之接著裝置及板狀接著體之製造方法。
本申請案係以日本國2009年10月7日提出之日本專利申請案號特願2009-232963為基楚而主張優先權者,將該申請案以參照之方式引用於本申請案中。
以往,於液晶電視或行動電話等各種顯示裝置所使用之液晶模組之顯示部,採用如下結構:在液晶模組之面板表面與設置於其上之強化玻璃板或壓克力板等透明之保護蓋之間設有0.5~1 mm左右之間隙,藉此,即便於因來自外部之衝擊而打碎保護蓋之情形時,亦不會對液晶模組造成影響。
於此種空氣間隙結構中,成為由折射率彼此不同之液晶模組之液晶面板、形成空氣間隙之空氣層、及由玻璃或塑膠所構成之保護蓋依序積層而成之形態。因此,於液晶面板與空氣層間之界面、空氣層與保護蓋間之界面、及保護蓋之表面與外部大氣間之界面的各界面,分別產生光之反射,從而導致亮度下降、光散射產生之對比度惡化。例如,於太陽光下難以看見液晶面板之顯示。
對於此種問題,具有如下技術:不採用空氣間隙結構,而是於液晶面板與保護蓋之間封入折射率接近於玻璃或丙烯酸之透明之光學樹脂,藉由紫外線照射等而使其硬化。以該光學樹脂填埋於上述空氣間隙,藉此,上述液晶面板與空氣層間之界面、及空氣層與保護蓋間之界面實質上消失,該等界面之反射或光之散射消失,從而可大幅改善液晶面板之顯示亮度及對比度。
上述光學樹脂之填充結構中,在將光學樹脂填充於液晶面板與保護蓋間之情形時,係被要求於無氣泡混入之狀態下填充光學樹脂,及無自液晶面板與保護蓋之間隙之不必要露出且對周圍之構件不會造成影響。
又,亦開發出上述光學樹脂之塗布及硬化之方法以及裝置(參照專利文獻1)。該裝置係於保持於裝載器(loader)之保護蓋之外側緣附近塗布透明之光學樹脂,使該光學樹脂半硬化而形成阻塞(dam)。然後,對保護蓋之整個表面塗布光學樹脂,使保護蓋反轉並加以保持。繼而,與保護蓋之光學樹脂塗布面相對向地載置液晶面板,並使該等接觸,藉此使光學樹脂於液晶面板及保護蓋之間隙擴散開。此時,已擴散開之光學樹脂藉由先前形成於保護蓋之外側緣附近之阻塞而堵住,因此防止自液晶面板與保護蓋之間隙產生不必要之露出。在光學樹脂於液晶面板與保護蓋之間隙擴散至各個角落後,遍及整面而對光學樹脂照射硬化光,光學樹脂得以硬化。

然而,如圖12所示,起初對保護蓋之外側緣附近塗布光學樹脂,並使其半硬化藉此形成阻塞之後,進而塗布光學樹脂而將液晶面板與保護蓋黏合之方法中,於黏合液晶面板與保護蓋之前形成阻塞之步驟成為必要,故用以製造液晶顯示裝置之作業量增加。而且伴隨製造作業量之增加,用以形成阻塞之裝載器及用以進行黏合之裝載器成為必要,故製造裝置之構成亦會複雜化、大型化。
因此,本發明之目的在於提供一種不會導致製造作業量之增加,且不會導致裝置之複雜化、大型化,防止光學樹脂自液晶面板與保護蓋之間隙產生不必要之露出之接著裝置、板狀接著體之製造方法。
為解決上述問題,本發明之接著裝置,具備:一對保持台,其將一對板狀體相對向地保持;保持台移動機構,其使該一對保持台接近或分離;照射裝置,其對填充於該一對保持台所保持之該一對板狀體間之光硬化性之填充液照射硬化光;及感測器,其檢測該填充液於該一對板狀體間之潤濕擴散狀態;且該照射裝置根據感測器之檢測結果,對已潤濕擴散至該一對板狀體間之外側緣附近之該填充液照射硬化光。
又,本發明之板狀接著體之製造方法,包括:以一對保持台將一對板狀體相對向地保持之步驟;於相對向之該一對板狀體間填充光硬化性之填充液之步驟;藉由保持台移動機構移動該一對保持台,使該一對板狀體接近,並使該填充液於該板狀體間潤濕擴散之步驟;藉由感測器檢測該填充液之潤濕擴散狀態之步驟;藉由照射裝置,根據該檢測結果而對已潤濕擴散至該一對板狀體之外側緣附近之該填充液照射硬化光之步驟;及對遍及該一對板狀體之整面而潤濕擴散之該填充液照射硬化光,形成接著有該一對板狀體之接著體。
根據本發明,由感測器檢測到填充液於一對板狀體之間隙已潤濕擴散至外側緣附近後,藉由照射裝置而照射硬化光,使已潤濕擴散至該位置之填充液成為半硬化狀態或全硬化狀態。藉此,本發明藉由按壓一對板狀體而可使填充液擴散至一對板狀體之各個角落,且可防止自一對板狀體之間隙露出。
以下,對於應用了本發明之接著裝置、板狀接著體之製造方法,一邊參照圖式一邊進行詳細說明。該接著裝置1係使用液晶面板2及保護液晶面板2之表面之保護面板3作為一對板狀體之一例,並於該等液晶面板2與保護面板3之間填充接著劑7而使液晶面板2與保護面板3黏合之裝置。
如圖1、圖2所示,接著裝置1具備:液晶面板保持台4,其保持液晶面板2;保護面板保持台5,其保持保護面板3;致動器6,其藉由使保護面板保持台5升降而使液晶面板2與保護面板3接近或分離;照射裝置8,其照射使填充於液晶面板2與保護面板3之間隙之接著劑7硬化之硬化光;及感測器9,其檢測填充於液晶面板2與保護面板3之間隙之接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態。
進而,接著裝置1具備將接著劑7填充於液晶面板2與保護面板3之間隙之填充機構10。填充機構10具備:吐出嘴11,其插通於液晶面板2與保護面板3之間並吐出接著劑7;嘴移動機構12,其使吐出嘴11移動;注射器15,其與吐出嘴11連接,且儲存有接著劑7;及按壓機構13,其使接著劑7自吐出嘴11之吐出口17吐出;且該等係配設於工作台14上。
液晶面板2係於形成為大致矩形狀之上下2片玻璃基板間封入有液晶之液晶單元,於朝向視聽者側之一基板接著保護面板3。保護面板3係使液晶面板2之可見性提昇、保護液晶面板2免受衝擊或損傷者,其使用例如強化玻璃或壓克力板等透明之板。
保持液晶面板2之液晶面板保持台4,係藉由真空吸附等之手段將液晶面板2以與保護面板3之接著面朝外之方式加以保持。保持保護面板3之保護面板保持台5,係藉由致動器6而被支持於液晶面板保持台4上,並藉由真空吸附等之手段將保護面板3以與液晶面板2之接著面朝外的方式加以保持。又,液晶面板保持台4及保護面板保持台5均係將液晶面板2或保護面板3之吸附面設定於大致鉛垂方向,並將液晶面板2及保護面板3之各主面朝向大致鉛垂方向加以保持。
又,如圖3所示,保護面板保持台5中,與所保持之保護面板3之外側緣附近對應地形成有使自照射裝置8照射之硬化光透射之透明的透射部20。透射部20係使用例如石英玻璃等透明之材料而形成,或者藉由穿設使硬化光通過之開口部而形成。又,保護面板保持台5亦可由石英玻璃等透明之材料而形成整面,藉此與保護面板3之外側緣附近對應地使硬化光透射。
透射部20係沿保護面板保持台5之外側緣形成為狹縫狀。藉此,接著裝置1可沿保護面板3之外側緣照射硬化光,使得接著劑7遍及保護面板3之全周而半硬化或全硬化。又,透射部20亦可如圖4所示般沿保護面板保持台5之外側緣以固定間隔而形成。藉此,接著裝置1可沿保護面板3之外側緣每隔固定間隔而照射硬化光,使得接著劑7遍及保護面板3之全周每隔固定間隔而半硬化或全硬化。又,接著裝置1藉由調整透射部20之形成間隔而可利用硬化光之迴繞或擴散,沿保護面板3之外側緣照射硬化光,使得接著劑7遍及保護面板3之全周而半硬化或全硬化。
沿保護面板保持台5之外側緣遍及全周而形成透射部20,或每隔固定間隔而形成透射部20,或者形成於保護面板保持台5之一外側緣之透射部20之數量或形狀等,係根據液晶面板2及保護面板3之尺寸或照射裝置8所照射之硬化光之強度、波長等而適當設計。
又,保護面板保持台5於較透射部20更靠內面側,於透射部20之附近,形成有使檢測接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態之感測器9面向液晶面板保持台4側之感測器孔21。感測器孔21亦與上述透射部20同樣地使用石英玻璃等透明之材料而形成,或者藉由穿設使感測器9面向液晶面板保持台4側之開口部而形成。又,保護面板保持台5亦可藉由將整面以石英玻璃等透明之材料形成而使感測器9面向液晶面板保持台4側。
感測器孔21係對應於保護面板保持台5之欲測定接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態之部位而形成。例如,感測器孔21可沿保護面板保持台5之外側緣以固定間隔而形成。又,感測器孔21亦可形成於形成為矩形狀之保護面板保持台5之各角隅部附近、或各邊之中間位置。感測器孔21之形成位置或個數係根據填充於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之接著劑7之塗布圖案及黏度、液晶面板2及保護面板3之尺寸、感測器9之測定方法或精度等而適當決定。
照射裝置8係對光硬化性之接著劑7照射硬化光者,例如於使用作為紫外線硬化性樹脂之接著劑7之情形時,照射裝置8係照射紫外線之裝置。照射裝置8設置於保護面板保持台5之上方、且透射部20之正上方,照射硬化光之照射部8a朝向保護面板保持台5側。
照射裝置8可將硬化光以點狀進行點照射,且亦可以線狀進行照射。另外,照射裝置例如亦可沿矩形狀之保護面板保持台5之一邊進行掃描而照射硬化光。於將照射裝置8所照射之硬化光進行點照射之情形時,透射部20形成為使硬化光透射之圓形狀或狹縫形狀,於硬化光以線狀或掃描而進行照射之情形時,透射部20形成為狹縫形狀。
檢測填充於液晶面板2與保護面板3之間隙之接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態的感測器9係檢測接著劑7之已潤濕擴散至液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之既定位置的感測器。具體而言,感測器9可使用例如使雷射光發光並接受其反射光而測定其反射光量之變化之雷射位移感測器。
感測器9經由感測器孔21而將雷射光照射至透明之保護面板3,並接受來自液晶面板2之反射光。並且,在感測器9將雷射光照射至接著劑7後,藉由接著劑7而使反射光散射,故反射光之受光量減少。由此,感測器9可檢測接著劑7之已潤濕擴散至液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之既定位置。
因此,接著裝置1藉由將感測器9及感測器孔21設置於保護面板保持台5所保持之保護面板3之外側緣之附近,可檢測接著劑7於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙已潤濕擴散至外側緣附近。接著裝置1在藉由感測器9而檢測到接著劑7已潤濕擴散至該位置後,由照射裝置8照射硬化光,使已潤濕擴散至該位置之接著劑7成為半硬化狀態或全硬化狀態。
由此,接著裝置1藉由按壓液晶面板2及保護面板3而可使接著劑7擴散至液晶面板2及保護面板3之各個角落,且可防止接著劑7自液晶面板2與保護面板3之間隙露出。接著劑7於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙擴散至各個角落後,接著裝置1遍及整面而照射硬化光,使接著劑7硬化。
支持保護面板保持台5之致動器6係使保護面板保持台5沿圖1中箭頭Z方向及反箭頭Z方向之上下方向進行升降者。致動器6在將液晶面板2或保護面板3保持於各台4、5時使保護面板保持台5上升,在使液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙填充接著劑7時使保護面板保持台5下降。
又,於填充接著劑7時,致動器6使保護面板保持台5下降,藉此將液晶面板2與保護面板3保持為下述吐出嘴11可插通、且接著劑7可一邊與液晶面板2及保護面板3接觸一邊進行塗布之既定間隔。於填充接著劑7之後,致動器6使保護面板保持台5進一步下降,將保護面板3以既定力壓於液晶面板2既定時間,使接著劑7遍及液晶面板2及保護面板3之整面而擴散開。
繼而,對將接著劑7填充於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之填充機構10進行說明。
向液晶面板2及保護面板3之間吐出接著劑7之吐出嘴11具有與保持於液晶面板保持台4之液晶面板2及保持於保護面板保持台5之保護面板3之各主面平行之筒狀體。又,吐出嘴11與供應接著劑7之注射器15連結,藉此在位於彼此接近之位置處之液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙內,吐出嘴11被支持於不與兩面板接觸之可進退之高度。而且,吐出嘴11藉由嘴移動機構12而朝圖1中反箭頭X方向及圖2中箭頭Y方向及反箭頭Y方向移動,於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙內描繪下述既定吐出圖案。
又,如圖5A、圖5B所示,吐出嘴11藉由將前端之上表面斜向切割而使吐出口17朝向鉛垂方向上側。由此,吐出嘴11於開始吐出接著劑7後,最先使接著劑7附著於上方之保護面板3上,其後,藉由重力而使接著劑7附著於下方之液晶面板2上。然後,吐出嘴11一邊吐出接著劑7一邊於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙內移動,如圖6所示,接著劑7始終以附著於液晶面板2及保護面板3之兩面之狀態進行塗布。
如此,接著裝置1中,使吐出嘴11之吐出口17朝上方向,且接著劑7始終以附著於液晶面板2及保護面板3之兩面之方式進行塗布,藉此可防止接著劑7中殘留氣泡。
再者,如圖5A所示,吐出嘴11係以直徑Φ 例如為6 mm≧Φ ≧2 mm而形成。該直徑Φ 係根據液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙而決定,選擇不與兩面板接觸之值。又,吐出嘴11係使用金屬或工業用塑膠形成,具有可在無撓曲之情形下吐出接著劑7之剛性。即,吐出嘴11不與液晶面板2及保護面板3接觸而塗布接著劑7。
又,如圖5B所示,吐出嘴11係以吐出口17之角度α為90°>α≧30°而形成。若該角度α為90°以上,則吐出嘴11於開始吐出時無法使接著劑7附著於保護面板3,且吐出口17中殘留有接著劑7,從而有於設想以外之部位附著接著劑之虞。又,若該角度α小於30°,則吐出嘴11於開始吐出時,難以使接著劑7下降至下方之液晶面板2側,從而產生捲入氣泡之虞。具體而言,該角度α係於90°>α≧30°之範圍內根據接著劑7之黏度而決定,選擇適於如下情形之角度:接著劑7最先附著於上側之保護面板3,不捲入氣泡地附著於液晶面板2,一邊與兩面板接觸一邊吐出。
使吐出嘴11移動之嘴移動機構12具備:第1吐出嘴台29,其載置有注射器15;及第2吐出嘴台30,其載置有第1吐出嘴台29。第1吐出嘴台29中,於上表面29a上搭載有注射器15,於下表面29b上安裝有滑塊32。第1吐出嘴台29係藉由滑塊32於第2吐出嘴台30上所設置之第1導軌33上滑動,而可向圖2中箭頭Y方向及反箭頭Y方向移動。
又,第2吐出嘴台30中,於上表面30a上形成有導引第1吐出嘴台29之第1導軌33,於下表面30b上形成有與工作台14之第2導軌34嵌合之滑塊35。第2吐出嘴台30係藉由滑塊35於工作台14上所形成之第2導軌34上滑動,而可向圖1中箭頭X方向及反箭頭X方向移動。
接著裝置1具備2台第1吐出嘴台29,藉由2個吐出嘴11塗布接著劑7。嘴移動機構12具有控制第1吐出嘴台29及第2吐出嘴台30之移動之控制手段31,並與液晶面板保持台4及保護面板保持台5之升降動作連動而使吐出嘴11於大致水平方向上移動,藉此使吐出嘴11不與液晶面板2及保護面板3接觸地插通於兩面板之間隙或自兩面板之間隙退離。
再者,接著裝置1中,吐出嘴11之數量並不限於2個,亦可搭載1個或3個以上。該等情形時,各吐出嘴11亦分別與載置於第1吐出嘴台29之注射器15連結,且各第1吐出嘴台29亦被第2吐出嘴台30滑動自如地支持著。
於載置於第1吐出嘴台29之注射器15中,儲存有自吐出嘴11吐出之接著劑7。又,注射器15係與使所儲存之接著劑7自吐出嘴11吐出之按壓機構13連接,並進行接著劑7之吐出及吐出停止之控制、以及吐出壓力之控制。按壓機構13係使用例如壓縮乾燥空氣之儲氣罐,藉由控制手段31而控制向注射器15內之氣體的供應及停止供應、以及供應壓力,並藉由將氣體以既定壓力供應至注射器15內而使接著劑7自吐出嘴11吐出。
作為自吐出嘴11吐出之接著劑7,使用折射率可控之透明之紫外線硬化型之彈性樹脂,以便使例如即便填充於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間,亦會抑制光之散射而不損及液晶面板2之可見性。
於本發明之情形時,對於使該接著劑7硬化而形成於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之樹脂硬化物層而言,可見光區域之透射率為90%以上,25℃時之儲存彈性模數為1.0×107 Pa以下,較佳為1×103 ~1×106 Pa,作為形成該樹脂硬化物層之樹脂組成物,使用硬化收縮率為5%以下、較佳為4.5%以下、更佳為0~2%者。
於本發明之情形時,作為接著劑7之原料,並無特別限定,但自提昇生產性之觀點而言,較佳為使用紫外線硬化型樹脂組成物。
作為上述樹脂組成物,可適當使用含有例如聚胺基甲酸酯丙烯酸酯、聚異戊二烯系丙烯酸酯或其酯化物、萜烯系氫化樹脂、丁二烯聚合物等1種以上之聚合物;丙烯酸異冰片基酯、甲基丙烯酸二環戊烯氧基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-羥乙酯等1種以上之丙烯酸酯系單體;及1-羥基環己基-苯基-酮等光聚合起始劑之樹脂組成物。
再者,自對於液晶面板2之紫外線保護之觀點而言,保護面板3多被賦予阻隔紫外線區域之功能,故作為光聚合起始劑,較佳為一併使用於可見光區域亦可硬化之光聚合起始劑(例如,商品名SpeedCureTPO,日本Siberhegner(股)公司製等)。
構成接著劑7之樹脂組成物係調整為如下者:使藉由紫外光照射而使其硬化所得之樹脂硬化物之儲存彈性模數(25℃)為1×107 Pa以下,較佳為1×103 ~1×106 Pa,且使樹脂硬化物之折射率較佳為1.45以上、1.55以下,更佳為1.51以上、1.52以下,進而使於樹脂硬化物層之厚度為100 μm之情形時之可見光區域的透射率為90%以上。作為構成接著劑7之主要之樹脂成分雖共通,但若一併調配之樹脂成分或單體成分不同,則使其硬化後之樹脂硬化物之儲存彈性模數(25℃)亦有超過1×107 Pa之情形,而成為此種樹脂硬化物之樹脂組成物並不包含於如本實施形態般、構成用於接著裝置1且使液晶面板2及保護面板3接著之接著劑7之樹脂組成物中。
又,構成接著劑7之樹脂組成物係已調整為使硬化收縮率較佳5%以下,更佳為4.5%以下,進而更佳為0~2%者。因此,可使樹脂組成物硬化時蓄積於樹脂硬化物中之內部應力降低,從而可防止樹脂硬化物層與液晶面板2或保護面板3之界面上產生應變。
因此,在使接著劑7介於液晶面板2與保護面板3之間並使其樹脂組成物硬化之情形時,可降低樹脂硬化物層與液晶面板2或保護面板3之界面上所產生之光散射,從而可提高顯示影像之亮度,且可提昇可見性。
再者,接著劑7硬化時蓄積於樹脂硬化物中之內部應力之程度可根據其樹脂組成物滴下至平板上並使其硬化所獲得之樹脂硬化物之平均表面粗糙度而評估。例如,將樹脂組成物2 mg滴下至玻璃板上並藉由UV照射而使其以90%以上之硬化率硬化所獲得之樹脂硬化物之平均表面粗糙度若為6 nm以下,則在使樹脂組成物介於顯示部2與保護部3之間並使其硬化之情形時,於實用上可忽視其等界面上所產生之應變,根據接著劑7之不同,可使該平均表面粗糙度為6 nm以下,較佳為1~3 nm。
又,接著劑7係選擇可一邊同時附著於液晶面板2及保護面板3上一邊進行填充、且不會自兩面板2、3之外緣流出而可維持附著於兩面板2、3之狀態的黏度,例如可使用1000 mPa~4000 mPa之範圍。又,根據此種接著劑7之黏度,液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙尺寸係設定為3.5 mm~10 mm之範圍。
繼而,一邊參照圖7及圖8,一邊對使用上述接著裝置1而製造液晶面板2與保護面板3之接著體之製造步驟進行說明。再者,本實施例中,係對矩形狀之液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙中填充接著劑7之情形進行說明,但液晶面板2及保護面板3之形狀並不限於矩形。
首先,接著裝置1藉由致動器6而使液晶面板保持台4及保護面板保持台5分離,將液晶面板2吸附於液晶面板保持台4,且將保護面板3吸附於保護面板保持台5(圖7A、圖8A)。此時,接著裝置1係利用周知之方法進行使液晶面板2及保護面板3正對之既定位置對準。
又,此時,吐出嘴11係藉由控制手段31使第1吐出嘴台29朝圖1中反箭頭X方向移動,而自液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙朝反箭頭X方向退離。
於液晶面板2及保護面板3之位置對準結束後,控制手段31使2台第1吐出嘴台29朝箭頭X方向滑動,藉此接著裝置1使各吐出嘴11自液晶面板2及保護面板3之各長邊方向之一端側之側面2a、3a側插通於間隙(圖7B、圖8B)。此時,吐出嘴11預先插通於液晶面板2及保護面板3接近時不與兩面板接觸之高度(圖7B)。又,吐出嘴11之吐出口17係位於液晶面板2及保護面板3之各長邊方向之另一端側之側面2b、3b側附近(圖8B)。
其後,接著裝置1藉由操作致動器6而使液晶面板保持台4及保護面板保持台5接近,將液晶面板2及保護面板3保持為既定間隔(圖7C)。
其次,接著裝置1藉由控制手段31一邊使第1、第2吐出嘴台29、30移動,一邊自吐出嘴11吐出接著劑7,並於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙描繪出既定填充圖案(圖7D、圖8C)。此時,吐出嘴11一邊朝反箭頭X方向、箭頭Y方向及反箭頭Y方向移動一邊不斷吐出接著劑7。因此,吐出嘴11之吐出口17不會進入至填充於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之接著劑7中,從而防止接著劑7附著於嘴本體上。藉此,接著裝置1可防止因附著於吐出嘴11之接著劑7而使得設想以外之部位附著有接著劑7之事態。
又,如上所述,吐出嘴11因朝向上方而形成吐出口17,故於開始吐出接著劑7後,使接著劑7附著於上方之保護面板3,其後,接著劑7下降而附著於下方之液晶面板2。於此狀態下吐出嘴11一邊朝反箭頭X方向以及箭頭Y方向及反箭頭Y方向移動一邊吐出接著劑7,並描繪出既定描繪圖案P1(圖7E、圖8D)。此時,吐出嘴11使接著劑7一邊同時附著於液晶面板2及保護面板3之雙方一邊進行塗布,故可防止接著劑7中殘留氣泡。
又,作為構成接著劑7之樹脂組成物,舉一例而言,使用將聚異戊二烯聚合物之馬來酸酐加成物與甲基丙烯酸2-羥乙基酯之酯化物70重量份、甲基丙烯酸二環戊烯氧基乙酯30重量份、甲基丙烯酸-2-羥基丁酯10重量份、萜烯系氫化樹脂30重量份、丁二烯聚合物140重量份、光聚合起始劑4重量份、及可見光區域用光聚合起始劑0.5重量份於混練機中混練所得之樹脂組成物。
如圖8D所示,填充於該液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之接著劑7之描繪圖案P1具有:於液晶面板2及保護面板3之中央部沿長邊方向描繪之粗線部40;及自該粗線部40之兩端朝向液晶面板2及保護面板3之四角延伸之細線部41。粗線部40沿液晶面板2及保護面板3之長邊方向而形成於大致中央,細線部41自粗線部40之長邊方向之兩端連續並朝向液晶面板2及保護面板3之四角而形成。
描繪圖案P1係藉由具備2個吐出嘴11a、11b之接著裝置1之一個吐出嘴11a與另一個吐出嘴11b描繪出於短邊方向上經由粗線部40之對稱形狀而形成。即,一個吐出嘴11a描繪出描繪圖案P1之一側之粗線部40a及細線部41a,另一個吐出嘴11b描繪出描繪圖案P1之另一側之粗線部40b及細線部41b。2個吐出嘴11a、11b藉由嘴移動機構12而同步移動,分別一邊朝反箭頭X方向後退一邊朝彼此接近之箭頭Y方向或反箭頭Y方向移動,藉此描繪一個細線部41,並繼續朝反箭頭X方向後退藉此描繪粗線部40,進而繼續一邊朝反箭頭X方向後退一邊朝彼此分離之箭頭Y方向或反箭頭Y方向移動,藉此描繪另一個細線部41。
再者,吐出嘴11使每單位時間之接著劑7之吐出量固定且控制第1、第2吐出嘴台29、30之移動速度,藉此可將粗線部40與細線部41分開描繪。又,接著裝置1使2個吐出嘴11a、11b同步移動,藉此可同時描繪出描繪圖案P1,且可以短時間進行接著劑7之塗布。又,接著裝置1由於描繪出對稱形狀之描繪圖案P1,故可遍及兩面板2、3之全體而均勻地填充接著劑7。
又,接著裝置1在描繪具有於液晶面板2及保護面板3之中央部沿長邊方向所描繪之粗線部40、及朝向液晶面板2及保護面板3之四角延伸之細線部41之描繪圖案P1時,將感測器9例如設置於保護面板保持台5之四角附近與四邊之各中間部附近,以檢測接著劑7的潤濕擴散狀態。再者,接著裝置1中,接近於上述感測器9之設置位置亦設置有照射裝置8,又,與該等照射裝置8及感測器9對應地,於保護面板保持台5上形成有透射部20及感測器孔21(圖4)。
再者,上述照射裝置8及感測器9之配置為一例,對於描繪圖案P1亦可採用不同之配置。又,藉由接著裝置1而描繪之圖案並不限於圖8D所示之圖案P1,可根據液晶面板2及保護面板3之大小及接著劑7之黏度等而選擇未混入氣泡、且以既定時間填充至各個角落之各種圖案。而且,接著裝置1可根據各種圖案而對照射裝置8及感測器9適當採用最佳之個數及配置。
於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙形成有既定描繪圖案結束後,接著裝置1藉由控制手段31而操作第1、第2吐出嘴台29、30,使吐出嘴11自液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙退離(圖7F)。
然後,接著裝置1藉由致動器6而使保護面板保持台5下降,按壓液晶面板2及保護面板3,使接著劑7擴散開(圖7G、圖8E)。此時,接著裝置1於兩面板2、3之中央以對稱形狀描繪出描繪圖案P1,故接著劑7會遍及兩面板2、3之全體而均勻地擴散。又,由於設置有朝兩面板2、3之四角延伸之細線部41,故接著裝置1使接著劑7確實擴散至兩面板2、3之四角。再者,致動器6之按壓力及按壓時間係根據液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙、接著劑7之黏度、或塗布量等而決定,例如設定為按壓力2.5 kPa,按壓時間0.3秒。
其後,接著裝置1解除致動器6之按壓,且解除液晶面板保持台4對於液晶面板4之吸附及保護面板保持台5對於保護面板3之吸附,於常壓下放置既定時間,例如放置5分鐘。
此時,接著裝置1中,感測器9將雷射光經由感測器孔21而向保護面板3側照射,並接受來自液晶面板2之反射光。然後,接著劑7潤濕擴散至保護面板3之外側緣附近後,感測器9將雷射光照射至已潤濕擴散之接著劑7,由於反射光散射而使受光量減少。於感測器9檢測到受光量之減少後,接著裝置1自照射裝置8照射硬化光。藉此,接著裝置1藉由對已潤濕擴散至液晶面板2及保護面板3之外側緣附近之既定位置之接著劑7照射硬化光而使其半硬化或全硬化。
因此,接著裝置1可使接著劑7於液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙中均勻填充至各個角落,且可防止自液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙露出(圖8F)。此處,在使接著劑7半硬化之情形時,與其後之步驟中被照射硬化光之接著劑7之適應性良好。又,在使接著劑7全硬化之情形時,可確實防止接著劑7自液晶面板2及保護面板3之間露出。
再者,在接著裝置1具備複數個照射裝置8與複數個感測器9之情形時,一個或複數個照射裝置8會連動地對一個感測器9照射硬化光。即,在接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態因場所不同而相異時,若某一感測器9檢測到接著劑7之到達,則與該感測器9對應之一個或複數個照射裝置8會照射硬化光。
因此,接著裝置1中,照射裝置8之照射時序因每個部位之不同而產生不均。然而,接著裝置1係經由設置於保護面板保持台5之透射部20而照射硬化光,故由硬化光之反射或散射等所引起之迴繞之範圍較窄,因此硬化光廣範圍地照射至並未到達既定位置之接著劑7之危險幾乎不存在。
接著裝置1在接著劑7填充至間隙之各個角落後,利用照射未圖示之紫外線等硬化光之照射裝置將硬化光遍及液晶面板2及保護面板3之整面而照射,藉此進行接著劑7之硬化處理,製造液晶面板2及保護面板3之接著體。
又,接著裝置1亦可藉由感測器9而檢測對液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙進行潤濕擴散之接著劑7之速度。該情形時,接著裝置1根據由感測器9檢測出之速度而計算接著劑7到達液晶面板2及保護面板3之外側緣附近之既定位置之時間,並於該時間照射來自照射裝置8之硬化光。
接著劑7之潤濕擴散速度可由以下方法而得出:例如準備2台上述發出雷射光後接受其反射光並測定其反射光量之變化之雷射位移感測器,檢測接著劑7已分別到達不同之2個檢測位置,根據該2個檢測位置之距離、與檢測之時間之差而以除法算出。又,照射裝置8所照射之硬化光之照射時序可根據檢測位置與液晶面板2及保護面板3之外側緣附近之既定位置之距離、及接著劑7之速度而計算出接著劑7到達該既定位置之時間來決定。
又,接著裝置1中,使照射裝置8自保護面板保持台5之上方經由透射部20而照射硬化光,除此之外,亦可如圖9所示,使照射硬化光之照射部8a朝向液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙,與液晶面板2及保護面板3平行地照射硬化光。
即,接著裝置1於保護面板保持台5上形成有感測器孔21,於感測器孔21之上方設置有檢測接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態之感測器9,並檢測接著劑7已潤濕擴散至既定位置或接著劑7之速度。然後,在接著裝置1檢測到接著劑7已潤濕擴散至既定位置、或者根據接著劑7之速度而計算出照射時序後,自照射裝置8照射硬化光。照射裝置8將硬化光自液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙入射,照射接著劑7而使其成為半硬化狀態或全硬化狀態。
再者,於使照射部8a朝向液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙而將硬化光入射至液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之本實施例中,若照射時序較早,則接著劑7在潤濕擴散至既定位置之前會成為半硬化狀態或全硬化狀態,從而有接著劑7不會填充至液晶面板2及保護面板3之各個角落之虞。又,若具備複數個照射裝置8與複數個感測器9,且照射裝置8之照射時序因每個部位不同而產生不均,亦存在自一個照射裝置8照射之硬化光照射至未潤濕擴散至既定位置之接著劑7之虞。因此,關於感測器9對於照射時序之設定,與上述自保護面板保持台5之上方經由透射部20而照射硬化光之實施例相比,要求更高之準確性。
另一方面,於使照射部8a朝向液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙而將硬化光入射至液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隙之本實施例中,根據照射部8a之設計,將硬化光以點狀進行照射,除此以外,亦可以寬幅之狹縫狀進行照射,或者沿液晶面板2及保護面板3之一邊而掃描並照射硬化光,故可藉由一台照射裝置而更高效率地照射硬化光。
進而,為消除因液晶面板2及保護面板3之部位不同而產生之接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態之不均,接著裝置1亦可具備調整液晶面板保持台4及/或保護面板保持台5之傾斜度之調整機構50。調整機構50係藉由改變液晶面板保持台4及/或保護面板保持台5之傾斜度而於每一部位改變液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隔,以調整於每一部位不同之接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態者。因此,接著裝置1可防止接著劑7局部較早到達既定位置,而比其他部位更早地被照射硬化光,且可防止因硬化光之反射或散射等而使硬化光照射至未到達既定位置之接著劑7之事態。
如圖10所示,上述調整機構50具體而言具備:接觸式之數位感測器51;及傾倒構件52,其根據數位感測器51之檢測結果而調整液晶面板保持台4與保護面板保持台5之相對傾斜度。接觸式之數位感測器51例如係自外側抵接於液晶面板保持台4之四角,且藉由比較各數位感測器51之伸縮量而檢測液晶面板保持台4相對於保護面板保持台5之傾斜度者。又,傾倒構件52係具備致動器,自外側抵接於液晶面板保持台4之四角,且藉由使各傾倒構件52之突出量不同而調整兩面板2、3之相對傾斜度者。
而且,在由感測器9檢測接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態,並因部位不同而產生不均時,調整機構50操作傾倒構件52而對液晶面板保持台4及/或保護面板保持台5之傾斜度進行微調整,藉此視部位不同而改變液晶面板2及保護面板3之間隔。藉此,調整機構50可使接著劑7潤濕擴散之速度局所較慢或較快,從而使接著劑7之潤濕擴散狀態於任一部位皆大致均勻。
因此,接著裝置1可降低每一照射裝置8照射硬化光之時序之不均,且可防止硬化光照射至未到達液晶面板2及保護面板3之外側緣附近之既定位置之接著劑7的事態。
再者,對調整機構50而言,在使接著劑7填充至四角後,於遍及液晶面板2及保護面板3之整面而照射硬化光之前,一邊利用數位感測器51監測液晶面板保持台4及保護面板保持台5之相對傾斜度,一邊利用傾倒構件52調整兩保持台4、5之傾斜度,以使兩面板2、3成為平行。
又,除上述接觸式之數位感測器51以外,調整機構50亦可使用能夠檢測液晶面板保持台4與保護面板保持台5之相對傾斜度之所有感測器。又,調整機構50可使用對液晶面板保持台4及/或保護面板保持台5之傾斜度進行微調整之所有機構作為傾倒構件52,且可根據接著裝置1之設計制約等而適當設計。
再者,如圖11所示,接著裝置1亦可形成為將保護面板保持台5配置於較保護面板3之外側緣更靠內側且不設置透射部20之構成。由於具備圖11所示之構成,故接著裝置1不必於保護面板保持台5上設置透射部20。又,該接著裝置1亦可藉由將保護面板保持台5之側面用作硬化光之照射區域之邊界而將該側面作為硬化光之遮光部。
進而,接著裝置1除如上所述使液晶面板2與保護面板3相對向,且使吐出嘴11插通於兩面板2、3之間隙而將接著劑7填充於兩面板2、3之間隙之方式以外,亦可應用將接著劑7塗布於保護面板3或液晶面板2之後,使該面板反轉而接著於另一個面板之方式的接著裝置。

本發明除可應用於液晶面板2及保護面板3之接著以外,亦可應用於電漿顯示器與其保護面板之接著。又,亦可應用於電視、行動電話、PDA(Personal Digital Assistant,個人數位助理)、可攜式遊戲機、數位靜態相機、攝像機、數位電子相框、有機EL(electroluminescence,電致發光)、觸控面板等各種監視器與保護面板等各種板狀體之接著。

Claims (16)

  1. 一種板狀體之接著裝置,具備:一對保持台,其將一對板狀體相對向地加以保持;保持台移動機構,其使該一對保持台接近或分離;照射裝置,其對填充於該一對保持台所保持之該一對板狀體間之光硬化性之填充液照射硬化光;及感測器,其檢測該填充液之於該一對板狀體間之潤濕擴散狀態;於該一對保持台之一,在外緣部附近設置感測器孔,該感測器經由該感測器孔將雷射光照射於該板狀體;該照射裝置根據該感測器之檢測結果,對已潤濕擴散至該一對板狀體間之外側緣附近之該填充液照射硬化光。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項之接著裝置,其中,該感測器檢測該填充液已潤濕擴散至該一對板狀體間之既定位置。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項之接著裝置,其中,該感測器檢測該填充液潤濕擴散之速度。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1至3項中任一項之接著裝置,其中,該照射裝置之設置於該一對板狀體之外側緣附近且照射該硬化光之照射部係朝向與該一對板狀體之主面大致正交之方向。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第4項之接著裝置,其中,該一對保持台中設置有該照射裝置之側之保持台可使該硬化光向該板狀體側透射。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第1至3項中任一項之接著裝置,其 中,該照射裝置之照射該硬化光之照射部係朝向該一對板狀體之間隙,且與該一對板狀體平行地照射該硬化光。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第1至3項中任一項之接著裝置,其中,該保持台移動機構藉由控制該一對板狀體彼此之傾斜度而控制該填充液之潤濕擴散狀態。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第1至3項中任一項之接著裝置,其具備填充機構,該填充機構具有:吐出嘴,其插通於相對向地保持於該一對保持台之該一對板狀體之間隙,吐出該填充液;嘴移動機構,其使該吐出嘴移動於該一對板狀體之間隙;及壓出機構,其使該填充液自該吐出嘴吐出;且一邊使填充液接觸於相對向地被保持之該一對板狀體、一邊進行塗布。
  9. 一種板狀接著體之製造方法,包括:以一對保持台將一對板狀體相對向地保持之步驟;於相對向之該一對板狀體間填充光硬化性之填充液之步驟;藉由保持台移動機構移動該一對保持台,使該一對板狀體接近,並使該填充液於該板狀體間潤濕擴散之步驟;藉由感測器檢測該填充液之潤濕擴散狀態之步驟;藉由照射裝置,根據該檢測結果而對已潤濕擴散至該一對板狀體之外側緣附近之該填充液照射硬化光之步驟;及 對遍及該一對板狀體之整面而潤濕擴散之該填充液照射硬化光,形成接著有該一對板狀體之接著體之步驟;於檢測該潤濕擴散狀態之步驟中,該感測器經由該一對保持台之一之外緣部附近之感測器孔將雷射光照射於該板狀體。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第9項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該感測器檢測該填充液已潤濕擴散至該一對板狀體間之既定位置。
  11. 如申請專利範圍第9項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該感測器檢測該填充液潤濕擴散之速度。
  12. 如申請專利範圍第9至11項中任一項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該照射裝置之設置於該一對板狀體之外側緣附近且照射該硬化光之照射部係朝向與該一對板狀體之主面大致正交之方向。
  13. 如申請專利範圍第12項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該一對保持台中設置有該照射裝置之側之保持台可使該硬化光向該板狀體側透射。
  14. 如申請專利範圍第9至11項中任一項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該照射裝置之照射該硬化光之照射部係朝向該一對板狀體之間隙,且與該一對板狀體平行地照射該硬化光。
  15. 如申請專利範圍第9至11項中任一項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該保持台移動機構藉由控制該一對板狀體彼此之傾斜度而控制該填充液之潤濕擴散狀態。
  16. 如申請專利範圍第9至11項中任一項之板狀接著體之製造方法,其中,該一對板狀體中之一者為液晶顯示裝置,另一者為貼附於該液晶顯示裝置之顯示面上之保護面板。
