Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para tratar un sujeto afligido con un cáncer de pulmón, en el cual el método comprende administrar al sujeto cantidades terapéuticamente efectivas de: (a) un agente anti-cancerígeno el cual es un anticuerpo o una porción del mismo de unión al antígeno que se une específicamente a un receptor de Muerte Programada 1 (PD-1) e inhibe la actividad de PD-1; y (b) otro agente anti-cancerígeno. El otro agente anti-cancerígeno puede ser una quimioterapia doble a base de platino, un inhibidor de tirosina cinasa dirigido a EGFR, un anticuerpo anti-VEGF, un anticuerpo del Antígeno 4 del Linfocito T anti-Citotóxico (CTLA-4), o cualquier otra terapia usada para tratar cáncer de pulmón en la técnica o descrito en la presente.
