Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en proceso para la manufactura de fluoruro de hidrógeno anhido, con contenido reducido de impureza de arsénico a partir de fluoruro de hidrógeno anhidro contaminado con arsénico, caracterizadas en que incluyen los pasos de: poner en contacto fluoruro de hidrógeno anhido con una cantidad efectiva de peróxido de hidrógeno para oxidar la impureza de arsénico en presencia de un catalizador que incluye una cantidad catalítica de un componente seleccionado del grupo consistente en molibdeno, un compuesto de molibdeno, vanadio y un compuesto de vanadio y un compuesto de fosfato, a una temperatura y durante un período de tiempo suficiente para oxidar las impurezas volátiles de arsénico trivalente en el fluoruro de hidrógeno anhido a compuesto pentavalentes no volátiles de arsénico; destilar la mezcla resultante y recuperar fluoruro de hidrógeno anhidro de alta pureza con contenido reducido de impureza de arsénico.
