Abstract
El proceso para la purificación del ácido fluorhídrico aquí expuesto, logra reducir el contenido de metales pesados, en particular el arsénico a valores menores de 5 ppm sin utilizar ningún agente químico y con diseño integrado de corrientes frías y calientes que proporcionan un bajo consumo energético. ASÍ mismo, logra la extracción de los metales pesados, en particular el arsénico, con una mínima generación de residuo y manteniendo su estado de oxidación original, que para el caso del arsénico es +3, de manera que el residuo puede ser convertido en un producto con valor comercial, que este proceso se obtiene como ácido arsenioso. El proceso consiste en 4 sistemas: sistema de purificación de HF, sistema de concentración de arsénico, sistema de agua caliente y sistema de agua fría. En el presente documento se detalla la operación sincronizada de estos 4 sistemas que en conjunto logran lo mencionado en el párrafo anterior.
