Abstract

단일 주사 헤드에 의해 주사되기에 적합한 적어도 두개의 나란한 정보층(20,21)이 제공된 기록매체가 설명된다. 각 정보층에는 그 정보층에 저장된 사용자 정보를 판독하는데에 사용될 수 있는 정보가 저장되는 제어블럭(26,31)이 제공된다. 제어블럭은 주사헤드를 최소 변위시키면서 주사소자에 의해 순차적으로 판독될 수 있도록 기록 매체에 위치한다. 사용자 정보는 제1정보층에 제1포맷으로 저장될 수 있고, 동일 사용자 정보는 제2층에 제2포맷으로 저장될 수도 있다. 제1포멧은 저밀도 구조가 될 수 있고 제2포맷은 고밀도 구조가 될 수 있다.

Claims (11)

  1. 단일 주사 헤드에 의해 주사되기에 적합하며 적어도 두개의 실질상 나란한 정보층들이 제공되는 기록매체에 있어서, 각층은 상기 층을 주사하기 위한 정보를 갖는 제어정보의 블럭을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 블럭은 실질상 여러 다른 층들의 평면에서 동일한 물리학적 위치를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 층들 중 한 층의 사용자 정보는 그층에서 소정 방향으로 순차적으로 정돈되고, 다른층의 사용자 정보는 반대방향으로 순차적으로 정돈되는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  4. 제1항 내지 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 블럭들 중 한 블럭은 상기 기록매체의 정보층수에 관한 표시를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  5. 제1항 내지 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 블럭들 중 한 블럭은 상기 층들에 저장된 사용자 정보에 관한 범용 표시를 갖는 서브블럭을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  6. 제1항 내지 5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 매체는 디스크형인 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  7. 제1항 내지 6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 매체는 광기록 매체인 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  8. 제1항 내지 7항 중 어느 한 항에서 청구된 기록매체를 주사하기 위한 주사 소자에 있어서, 상기 소자에는 사용자 정보를 판독 또는 기록하기 전에 제어 정보의 블럭들을 순차적으로 판독하는 수단이 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 주사 소자.
  9. 적어도 두개의 실질상 나란한 정보층들이 제공된 기록 매체에 있어서, 제1정보층은 제1포맷의 사용자 정보를 포함하고 제2정보층은 제2포맷의 동일한 사용장 정보를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제2종보층은 제3포맷의 사용자 정보도 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
  11. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 사용자 정보와 함께, 상기 제2정보층은 또다른 사용자 정보를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 기록매체.
