Abstract

컴팩트 디스크의 인입 트랙에 레코드된 것은 디스크의 목차 리스트이다.
목차 리스트에 저장된 데이타는 몇개의 블럭으로 나뉜다. 같은 데이타를 포함하는 몇개의 블럭은 여분의 목적으로 컴팩트 디스크에 일렬로 레코드된다. 컴팩트 디스크 플레이어는 나선형 데이타 트랙을 따라 주사장치를 움직임에 의해 번갈아 가며 여분 블럭까지 모든 블럭을 판독하는 전체 목록 리스트를 판독한다.목록 리스트를 판독하는데 소요되는 시간을 감소하기 위하여 본 발명은 블럭을 판독할때 외측 또는 내측으로 한 트랙을 점프하기 위해서 목차리스트를 만드는 데이타를 판독할때 주사장치를 호출한다. 이러한 것은 주사장치가 작은 비율을 제외하고는 모든 여분블럭을 더 이상 판독하지 않는다는 것을 의미하며 따라서 목차리스트를 작성하는 데이타를 판독 및 저장하는데 소요되는 시간을 현저하게 줄일 수 있다.

제4도는 제3실시예를 설명하기 위한 CD의 데이타 트랙에서의 블럭 배열도.

Claims (4)

  1. 데이타가 데이타 트랙에 레코드되고 데이타는 블럭단위로 나뉘며 각 경우에 여분을 얻기 위해서는 적어도 두개의 동일 블럭이 데이타 트랙에 서로 연속하여 배열되는 회전 레코딩 매체의 데이타 판독방법에 있어서, 블럭의 데이타를 판독한 후 판독장치는 다른 블럭의 데이타를 연속하여 판독하기 위해 또다른 곳으로 점프하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전 레코딩 매체의 판독방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 판독장치는 이미 판독된 데이타 블럭에 도달하였으므로 다른 트랙으로 점프만 하는 것으 특징으로 하는 회전 레코딩 매체의 데이타 판독방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 판독장치는 레코딩 매체에 제공된 디스크에서 방사상 내측 및 외측으로 교대로 데이타 트랙을 점프하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전 레코딩 데이타 판독방법.
  4. 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 소위 컴팩트 디스크의 디렉토리는 CD플레이어에서 제1항, 제2항 또는 제3항에 따른 방법에 일치하게 판독되며 상기 CD플레이어의 메모리에 저장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전 레코딩 매체의 데이타 판독방법.
