Claims (7)
- 여과된 매연입자의 발화온도를 낮추고 이의 연소를 촉진시키는 촉매 및 기체상오염물질의 연소를 촉진시키는 촉매를 갖춘, 배기가스가 가로질러 통과하는 하우징(housing)의 횡단면에 배열된 필터를 가진, 디젤엔진으로 부터의 배기가스를 정화하는 장치에 있어서, 매연의 발화온도를 낮추고 이의 연소를 촉진시키는 촉매를 지지하는 하나 이상의 필터요소 A 와 기체상 오염물질의 연소를 촉진시키는 촉매를 지지하는 하나 이상의 필터요소 B를 서로 수회 엇갈리게 함으로써, 매연입자를 분리시키는 필터요소들을, 하우징내에 직접 연속으로 배열하거나 간격을 두고 배열함을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, A 및 B 형태의 일련의 엇갈리는 개개의 필터요소들 또는 필터요소 그룹들이, 배기가스 흐름의 방향으로 A 형태로 시작하여 B형태로 끝남을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 동일한 기하학적 형태의 필터요소 A 및 B가, 필터요소 두께의 최대한 두배 간격으로 서로 후속함을 특징으로 하는 장치.

- 제5항에 있어서, 촉매를 내열성 지지물질(이 지지물질은 촉매와 결합되거나, 필터요소에 적용된 후 촉매를 위한 기질로서 작용한다)과 결합시킴을 특징으로 하는 장치.
