Claims (31)
- 제 1 베이스밴드 신호를 제공하기 위해, 제 1 입력 신호를 수신, 증폭, 및 주파수 하향변환하도록 동작가능하며, 수신기에 대한 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트한 제 1 수신 경로; 및제 2 베이스밴드 신호를 제공하기 위해, 제 2 입력 신호를 수신, 증폭, 및 주파수 하향변환하도록 동작가능하며, 상기 수신기에 대한 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트하지 않는 제 2 수신 경로를 포함하며,상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는 동일한 주파수 대역에 대해 존재하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는 하나의 안테나로부터의 것인, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는, 각각, 제 1 안테나 및 제 2 안테나로부터의 것인, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 수신 경로 및 상기 제 2 수신 경로는 다이버시티 모드에 대해, 각각, 상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호를 동시에 프로세싱하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 수신 경로 및 상기 제 2 수신 경로는, 각각, 하나 이상의 증폭기, 하나 이상의 필터, 및 하나 이상의 믹서를 포함하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 수신 경로 및 상기 제 2 수신 경로는, 각각, 상기 제 1 수신 경로로부터 상기 제 2 수신 경로로 중간 신호를 라우팅하는 하나 이상의 스위치를 더 포함하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 수신 경로 및 상기 제 2 수신 경로는, 각각, 제 1 안테나 및 제 2 안테나에 커플링되며,상기 무선 디바이스는, 상기 제 1 수신 경로 또는 상기 제 2 수신 경로가 사용을 위해 선택되는지에 관계없이, 상기 제 1 안테나로부터 수신된 신호의 신호 전력을 측정하도록 동작가능한, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,하향변환된 GPS 신호를 제공하기 위해, 글로벌 측위 시스템 (GPS) 신호를 수신, 증폭, 및 주파수 하향변환하도록 동작가능한 제 3 수신 경로를 더 포함하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 또는 상기 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 진폭보다 큰 진폭을 갖는 잼머의 존재에 대해 검출하도록 동작하는 검출기; 및상기 잼머가 검출된다면 사용을 위해 상기 제 1 수신 경로를 선택하고, 상기 잼머가 검출되지 않는다면 사용을 위해 상기 제 2 수신 경로를 선택하도록 동작하는 제어 유닛을 더 포함하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 검출기는, 검출기 입력 신호에 기초하여 상기 잼머의 존재에 대해 검출하도록 동작하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,소정의 채널 내의 신호로부터의 소정의 주파수 오프셋을 갖는 상기 검출기 입력 신호의 신호 컴포넌트는, 상기 소정의 채널 내의 신호로부터의 상기 소정의 주파수 오프셋보다 더 작은 주파수 오프셋을 갖는 신호 컴포넌트에 비해 감쇠되는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 검출기 입력 신호의 상기 신호 컴포넌트는 1차 로우패스 필터 응답에 의해 감쇠되는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 또는 상기 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 진폭보다 큰 진폭을 갖는 잼머의 존재에 대해 검출하도록 동작하는 제 1 검출기;상기 제 1 입력 신호 또는 상기 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 채널 내의 신호의 신호 레벨에 대해 검출하도록 동작하는 제 2 검출기; 및상기 제 1 검출기 및 상기 제 2 검출기의 출력에 기초하여 사용을 위해 상기 제 1 수신 경로 또는 상기 제 2 수신 경로를 선택하도록 동작하는 제어 유닛을 더 포함하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 수신 경로 및 상기 제 2 수신 경로는, 무선 주파수 (RF) 로부터 베이스밴드로 상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호를 직접 하향변환하도록 동작가능한, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 수신 경로는 다중의 전력 모드들 중 하나에서 동작가능하며, 각각의 전력 모드는 상기 제 1 수신 경로내의 회로 블록에 대한 바이어스 전류의 상이한 양에 대응하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,잼머가 검출되지 않거나 소정의 진폭보다 더 낮은 진폭을 갖는다면, 상기 제 1 수신 경로는 낮은 전력 모드에서 동작가능한, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 수신 경로의 전력 소비는 상기 제 1 수신 경로의 전력 소비의 50 퍼센트보다 적은, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 수신 경로의 전력 소비는 상기 제 1 수신 경로의 전력 소비보다 적은, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 시스템 요건은 IS-98D 에서의 단일-톤 테스트에 의하여 규정되는 요건을 만족하고, 또한 IS-98D 에서의 2 개의-톤 테스트에 의하여 규정되는 요건을 만 족하는, 무선 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 시스템 요건은, cdma2000, 광대역-CDMA (W-CDMA), 또는 이동 통신용 글로벌 시스템 (GSM) 에 의해 특정되는, 무선 디바이스.
- 수신기에 대한 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트한 제 1 수신 경로; 및상기 수신기에 대한 상기 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트하지 않는 제 2 수신 경로를 포함하며,상기 제 1 수신 경로는,제 1 입력 신호를 수신 및 증폭하여 제 1 증폭된 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 1 증폭기, 및상기 제 1 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하여 제 1 베이스밴드 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 1 하향변환기를 구비하며,상기 제 2 수신 경로는,제 2 입력 신호를 수신 및 증폭하여 제 2 증폭된 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 2 증폭기로서, 상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는 동일한 주파수 대역에 대해 존재하는, 상기 제 2 증폭기, 및상기 제 2 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하여 제 2 베이스밴드 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 2 하향변환기를 구비하는, 집적 회로.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,글로벌 측위 시스템 (GPS) 신호를 수신 및 증폭하여 증폭된 GPS 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 3 증폭기, 및상기 증폭된 GPS 신호를 주파수 하향변환하여 하향변환된 GPS 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 3 하향변환기를 구비하는, 제 3 수신 경로를 더 포함하는, 집적 회로.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는 하나의 안테나로부터의 것인, 집적 회로.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는, 각각, 제 1 및 제 2 안테나로부터의 것인, 집적 회로.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 또는 상기 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 진폭보다 큰 진폭을 갖는 잼머의 존재에 대해 검출하도록 동작하는 검출기를 더 포함하며,상기 잼머가 검출되면 상기 제 1 수신 경로가 사용을 위해 선택되고, 상기 잼머가 검출되지 않으면 상기 제 2 수신 경로가 사용을 위해 선택되는, 집적 회로.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 베이스밴드 신호를 필터링하여 제 1 필터링된 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 1 로우패스 필터; 및상기 제 2 베이스밴드 신호를 필터링하여 제 2 필터링된 신호를 제공하도록 동작가능한 제 2 로우패스 필터를 더 포함하는, 집적 회로.
- 제 26 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 로우패스 필터는 상기 제 1 로우패스 필터보다 더 낮은 필터 차수 및 더 낮은 전력 소비를 갖는, 집적 회로.
- 제 1 증폭된 신호를 제공하기 위해 제 1 입력 신호를 증폭하는 수단;제 1 베이스밴드 신호를 제공하기 위해 상기 제 1 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하는 수단으로서, 상기 제 1 입력 신호를 증폭하는 상기 수단 및 상기 제 1 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하는 상기 수단은, 수신기에 대한 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트한, 상기 주파수 하향변환 수단;제 2 증폭된 신호를 제공하기 위해 제 2 입력 신호를 증폭하는 수단; 및제 2 베이스밴드 신호를 제공하기 위해 상기 제 2 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하는 수단을 포함하며,상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는 동일한 주파수 대역에 대해 존재하고,상기 제 2 입력 신호를 증폭하는 상기 수단 및 상기 제 2 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하는 상기 수단은, 상기 수신기에 대한 상기 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트하지 않는, 장치.
- 제 28 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 또는 상기 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 진폭보다 큰 진폭을 갖는 잼머의 존재에 대해 검출하는 수단;상기 잼머가 검출되면, 상기 제 1 입력 신호를 증폭하는 상기 수단 및 상기 제 1 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하는 상기 수단을 선택하는 수단; 및상기 잼머가 검출되지 않으면, 상기 제 2 입력 신호를 증폭하는 상기 수단 및 상기 제 2 증폭된 신호를 주파수 하향변환하는 상기 수단을 선택하는 수단을 더 포함하는, 장치.
- 무선 디바이스에서 다중의 수신 경로를 동작시키는 방법으로서,제 1 입력 신호 또는 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 진폭보다 큰 진폭을 갖는 잼머의 존재에 대해 검출하는 단계로서, 상기 제 1 입력 신호 및 상기 제 2 입력 신호는 동일한 주파수에 대해 존재하는, 상기 검출 단계;상기 잼머가 검출되면 상기 제 1 입력 신호를 프로세싱하기 위해 제 1 수신 경로를 인에이블 (enable) 하는 단계로서, 상기 제 1 수신 경로는 상기 무선 디바이스에 대한 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트한, 상기 인에이블 단계; 및상기 잼머가 검출되지 않으면 상기 제 2 입력 신호를 프로세싱하기 위해 제 2 수신 경로를 인에이블하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 제 2 수신 경로는 상기 무선 디바이스에 대한 상기 시스템 요건과 컴플라이언트하지 않는, 수신 경로 동작 방법.
- 제 30 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 입력 신호 또는 상기 제 2 입력 신호에서 소정의 채널 내의 신호의 신호 레벨에 대해 검출하는 단계를 더 포함하며,상기 제 1 수신 경로 또는 상기 제 2 수신 경로는, 또한, 상기 소정의 채널 내의 신호의 상기 신호 레벨에 기초하여 인에이블되는, 수신 경로 동작 방법.
