Claims (5)
- 그 정보 기록면 상에 규정된 전력의 레이저 광을 조사함으로써 위상 변화 기록 매체(a phase change recording medium)를 초기화하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 레이저의 전력은 상기 정보 기록면에서 결정화가 발생하려고 하는 부근의 전력 상태에 있는 제1 전력으로 설정되며, 상기 레이저 광이 초기화될 부분 상에 반복해서 조사되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 정보 기록면 상에 규정된 전력의 레이저 광을 조사함으로써 위상 변화 기록 매체(a phase change recording medium)의 정보 기록면을 초기화하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 레이저 광의 전력을 상기 정보 기록면에서 결정화가 발생하려고 하는 부근의 전력 상태에 있는 제1 전력으로 설정하는 제1 단계 -초기화될 부분 상에 상기 레이저 광의 상기 조사는 반복해서 행해짐- ; 및 상기 레이저 광의 전력을 상기 제1 전력보다 큰 제2 전력으로 설정하는 제2 단계 -상기 제2 전력으로 설정된 상기 레이저 광은 초기화될 상기 부분 상에 적어도 한번 조사됨-를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 레이저 전력은 상기 정보 기록면에서 결정화가 발생하려고 하는 부근의 전력의 1 및 1.3배 사이가 되도록 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제2 전력은 초기화될 상기 부분이 용융하지 않는 범위 내로 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제2 단계에서 초기화될 상기 부분 상에 상기 레이저를 복수회 조사할 때, 상기 레이저 광이 조사될 때마다 그 전력은 점차적으로 증가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
