Claims (6)
- 제1 글래스 기판과, 제2 글래스 기판과, 상기 제1 글래스 기판과 상기 제2 글래스 기판을 소정의 간극을 두고 시일재로 접합한 액정 패널과, 상기 간극에 유지되는 액정을 갖는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법으로서,상기 액정 패널의 적어도 한변에, 상기 액정을 봉입하는 봉입 구멍을 갖고,상기 봉입 구멍으로부터 상기 액정을 봉입하는 봉입 공정과,상기 봉입 구멍을 밀봉재로 밀봉하는 밀봉 공정과,제1 글래스 기판과 제2 글래스 기판의 상기 봉입 구멍이 형성되는 측의 변을, 상기 제1 글래스 기판 및 상기 제2 글래스 기판의 단부로부터 중앙부를 향하여 두께가 증가하는 형상으로 가공하는 면취 공정과,상기 제1 글래스 기판 및 상기 제2 글래스 기판을 화학 연마에 의해 에칭하는 에칭 공정을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 액정 패널의 두께 방향에서의 상기 밀봉재의 폭은, 에칭 공정 후의 상기 액정 패널의 두께 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 글래스 기판의 상기 액정과 대향하는 측의 면의, 상기 시일재의 외측에는, 외부로부터의 신호 등을 입력받는 단자가 형성된 단자부를 갖고,상기 단자부의 외측에 단자부 보호용의 시일재를 형성하여 상기 에칭 공정을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 글래스 기판의 상기 액정과 대향하는 측의 면의, 상기 시일재의 외측에는, 외부로부터의 신호 등을 입력받는 단자가 형성된 단자부를 갖고,상기 단자부에 내에칭성의 보호막을 형성하여 상기 에칭 공정을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 글래스 기판의 상기 액정과 대향하는 측의 면의, 상기 시일재의 외측에는, 외부로부터의 신호 등을 입력받는 단자가 형성된 단자부를 갖고,상기 단자부에는 플렉시블 회로 기판이 접속되고,상기 단자부 및 상기 플렉시블 회로 기판의 표면에 내에칭성의 보호막을 형성하여 상기 에칭 공정을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 글래스 기판 및 상기 제2 글래스 기판의 상기 에칭 공정 후의 두께 는, 0.2mm 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
