Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- 광투과성을 갖는 기재와, 적어도 복굴절률층을 구비하는 복굴절률 기능층을 갖는 광학 소자로서,상기 복굴절률층은 말단에 중합성기를 갖는 액정성 모노머를 호메오트로픽 배향시킨 상태에서 고정화하여 이루어지는 구조를 갖고 있고, 상기 복굴절률층 내에는, 상기 액정성 모노머의 호메오트로픽 배향을 촉진하는 첨가제가 함유되고 있으며, 상기 복굴절률층 상면에 상기 첨가제로 구성되는 첨가제층이 존재하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 복굴절률 기능층은 상기 기재 상면에 형성된 수직 배향막과 상기 수직 배향막의 상면에 형성된 상기 복굴절률층으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 소자.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 수직 배향막에 함유되는 액정성 모노머의 호메오트로픽 배향을 촉진하는 하나의 성분 또는 2 이상의 성분이 상기 첨가제로서 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,복굴절률층을 구성하는 액정성 모노머는 모두 거의 균일한 틸트각을 나타내며 배향되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 기재와 복굴절률 기능층 사이, 또는 상기 복굴절률 기능층의 상면에 착색층이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 소자.
- 광투과성을 갖는 층을 구비한 2 개의 적층 구조체와, 상기 2 개의 적층 구조체 사이에 액정이 밀봉된 액정층을 갖는 액정 표시 장치용 부재로서,하나 이상의 상기 적층 구조체에, 제 1 항에 기재된 광학 소자가 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치용 부재.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 광학 소자에 있어서의 상기 복굴절률층은 상기 액정 표시 장치용 부재에 있어서의 액정층측에 위치하도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치용 부재.
- 액정을 사이에 두고 양측에 편광판을 구비함과 함께, 전압을 부하하여 액정층의 배향을 변화시키는 전극부로 이루어지는 층을 구비하는 다층 구조의 액정 표 시 장치로서,제 6 항에 기재된 액정 표시 장치용 부재가 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 액정을 사이에 두고 양측에 편광판을 구비함과 함께, 전압을 부하하여 액정층의 배향을 변화시키는 전극부로 이루어지는 층을 구비하는 다층 구조의 액정 표시 장치로서,제 7 항에 기재된 액정 표시 장치용 부재가 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
