Claims (22)
- 복수의 유기 발광 화소를 포함하는 유기 발광 영역과,각각이 개별 화소와 연결되어 있으며, 그 화소로의 전력을 스위칭하는 스위치 수단과,상기 연결된 화소로부터의 발광을 실질적으로 연속적으로 나타내기에 충분한 주파수로 제 1의 상대적인 저전력 모드와 제 2의 상대적인 고전력 모드를 반복하도록 각각의 스위치 수단을 구동하는 구동 수단 - 상기 제 1 모드에 대한 상기 제 2 모드의 지속 시간은 상기 화소의 평균 휘도를 가변할 수 있도록 가변함 - 을 포함하며,상기 스위치 수단은 상기 화소에 공급되는 전력을 스위칭하는 트랜지스터 스위치를 포함하고,상기 제 1 모드에서, 상기 트랜지스터는 완전한 오프 상태이고,상기 제 2 모드에서, 상기 트랜지스터는 완전한 온 상태인,유기 발광 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 모드에서, 상기 화소는 실질적으로 발광하지 않는 유기 발광 소자.

- 제 9 항에 있어서,각각의 화소의 상기 발광 영역은 다른 영역인 유기 발광 소자.

- 각각의 유기 발광 화소가 적어도 2개의 개별 발광 영역을 포함하는 복수의 유기 발광 화소를 포함하는 유기 발광 영역과,각각의 화소와 연결되어 있으며, 상기 유기 발광 영역으로의 전력을 전환하기 위해 상기 화소의 개별 발광 영역과 각각이 연결되어 있는 스위치 수단을 포함하는 스위치 구조와,상기 연결된 스위치 구조에 의해 각각의 화소를 어드레스하며, 상기 화소의 발광 영역중 선택된 발광 영역이 발광하도록 하나 이상의 대응 스위치 수단을 선택적으로 구동함으로써 각각의 화소의 휘도를 제어하는 제어 수단을 포함하되,상기 제어 수단은 각 스위칭 수단이 상기 연결된 화소로부터의 발광을 실질적으로 연속적으로 나타내기에 충분한 주파수로 제 1의 상대적인 저전력 모드와 제 2의 상대적인 고전력 모드를 반복하게 하고 - 상기 제 1 모드에 대한 상기 제 2 모드의 지속 시간은 상기 화소의 평균 휘도를 가변할 수 있도록 가변함 - ,상기 스위치 수단은 상기 화소에 공급되는 전력을 스위칭하는 트랜지스터 스위치를 포함하고,상기 제 1 모드에서, 상기 트랜지스터는 완전한 오프 상태이고,상기 제 2 모드에서, 상기 트랜지스터는 완전한 온 상태인,유기 발광 소자.
