Abstract
Description
下記構造式(1)
で表される2量体(y)とを含有しており、前記3官能化合物(x)の含有率がGPC測定における面積比率で55%以上であることを特徴とするエポキシ樹脂に関する。
本発明のエポキシ樹脂は、パラクレゾール、β−ナフトール化合物、及びホルムアルデヒドの反応生成物をポリグリシジルエーテル化したエポキシ樹脂であって、該エポキシ樹脂中に
下記構造式(1)
で表される2量体(y)とを含有しており、前記3官能化合物(x)含有率がGPC測定における面積比率で55%以上であることを特徴としている。

試料 : 樹脂固形分換算で1.0質量%のテトラヒドロフラン溶液をマイクロフィルターでろ過したもの(50μl)。
方法1:有機溶剤及びアルカリ触媒の存在下、β−ナフトール化合物とホルムアルデヒドとを反応させ、次いで、ホルムアルデヒドの存在下、パラクレゾールを加え反応させて、クレゾール−ナフトール樹脂を得(工程1)、次いで、得られたクレゾール−ナフトール樹脂にエピハロヒドリンを反応させて(工程2)、目的とするエポキシ樹脂を得る方法。
方法2:有機溶剤及びアルカリ触媒の存在下、パラクレゾール、β−ナフトール化合物、及びホルムアルデヒドを反応させてクレゾール−ナフトール樹脂を得(工程1)、次いで、得られたクレゾール−ナフトール樹脂にエピハロヒドリンを反応させて(工程2)、目的とするエポキシ樹脂を得る方法。

試料濃度:30wt%
積算回数:10000回
温度計、滴下ロート、冷却管、分留管、撹拌器を取り付けたフラスコに、β−ナフトール216質量部(1.5モル)、イソプロピルアルコール250質量部、37%ホルマリン水溶液122質量部(1.50モル)、49%水酸化ナトリウム31質量部(0.38モル)を仕込み、室温から75℃まで攪拌しながら昇温し、75℃で1時間撹拌した。続いて、パラクレゾール81質量部(0.75モル)を仕込み、さらに75℃で8時間攪拌した。反応終了後、第1リン酸ソーダ45質量部を添加して中和した後、メチルイソブチルケトン630質量部加え、水158量部で3回洗浄を繰り返した後に、加熱減圧下乾燥してクレゾール−ナフトール樹脂(a−1)290質量部得た。得られたクレゾール−ナフトール樹脂(a−1)のGPCチャートを図1に示す。クレゾール−ナフトール樹脂(a−1)の水酸基当量は140グラム/当量であり、GPCチャートから算出される下記構造式(a)で表される3官能化合物の含有率は83.5%であった。
37%ホルマリン水溶液110質量部(1.35モル)、パラクレゾール65質量部(0.60モル)に変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてエポキシ樹脂(A−2)191質量部を得た。得られたエポキシ樹脂(A−2)のGPCチャートを図5に示す。エポキシ樹脂(A−2)のエポキシ当量は240グラム/当量、軟化点は93℃、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)は1.24であった。また、GPCチャートから算出される構造式(b)で表される3官能化合物の含有率は56.4%であり、前記構造式(2)で表される2量体(y)の含有量は13.5%であった。
温度計、滴下ロート、冷却管、分留管、撹拌器を取り付けたフラスコに、α−ナフトール505質量部(3.50モル)、水158質量部、蓚酸5質量部を仕込み、室温から100℃まで45分で昇温しながら撹拌した。続いて、42質量%ホルマリン水溶液177質量部(2.45モル)を1時間要して滴下した。滴下終了後、さらに100℃で1時間攪拌し、その後180℃まで3時間で昇温した。反応終了後、反応系内に残った水分を加熱減圧下に除去しナフトール樹脂(a’−1)498質量部を得た。得られたナフトール樹脂(a’−1)の水酸基当量は154グラム/当量であった。
下記表1記載の配合に従い、硬化剤として、DIC(株)製TD−2090(フェノールノボラック樹脂、水酸基当量:105g/eq)を、エポキシ樹脂として(A−1)又は(A’−1)を、硬化促進剤として2−エチル−4−メチルイミダゾール(2E4MZ)を配合し、最終的に各組成物の不揮発分(N.V.)が58質量%となるようにメチルエチルケトンを配合して調整した。次いで、下記の如き条件で硬化させて積層板を試作し、下記の方法で熱膨張率及び物性変化を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
基材:日東紡績株式会社製 ガラスクロス「#2116」(210×280mm)
プライ数:6 プリプレグ化条件:160℃
硬化条件:200℃、40kg/cm2で1.5時間、成型後板厚:0.8mm
粘弾性測定装置(DMA:レオメトリック社製固体粘弾性測定装置「RSAII」、レクタンギュラーテンション法;周波数1Hz、昇温速度3℃/min)を用いて、以下の温度条件で2回、弾性率変化が最大となる(tanδ変化率が最も大きい)温度(Tg)を測定した。
温度条件
第1回測定:35℃から275℃まで3℃/minで昇温
第2回測定:35℃から330℃まで3℃/minで昇温
それぞれ得られた温度差をΔTgとして評価した。
積層板を5mm×5mm×0.8mmのサイズに切り出し、これを試験片として熱機械分析装置(TMA:セイコーインスツルメント社製SS−6100)を用いて、圧縮モードで熱機械分析を行った。
測定条件
測定架重:88.8mN
昇温速度:10℃/分で2回
測定温度範囲:−50℃から300℃
上記条件での測定を同一サンプルにつき2回実施し、2回目の測定における、40℃から60℃の温度範囲における平均線膨張率を熱膨張係数として評価した。
TD−2090:フェノールノボラック型フェノール樹脂(DIC(株)製「TD−2090」、水酸基当量:105g/eq)
2E4MZ:硬化促進剤(2−エチル−4−メチルイミダゾール)
Claims (9)
- パラクレゾール、β−ナフトール化合物、及びホルムアルデヒドの反応生成物をポリグリシジルエーテル化したエポキシ樹脂であって、該エポキシ樹脂中に
下記構造式(1)
で表される3官能化合物(x)と、
下記構造式(2)
で表される2量体(y)とを含有しており、前記3官能化合物(x)の含有率がGPC測定における面積比率で55%以上であることを特徴とするエポキシ樹脂。 - 前記3官能化合物(x)の含有率が、GPC測定における面積比率で55〜95%の範囲である請求項1記載のエポキシ樹脂。
- 前記2量体(y)の含有率が、GPC測定における面積比率で1〜25%の範囲である請求項1記載のエポキシ樹脂。
- エポキシ当量が220〜260g/eqの範囲にあるものである請求項1記載のエポキシ樹脂。
- 軟化点が80〜140℃の範囲にある請求項1記載のエポキシ樹脂。
- 分子量分布(Mw/Mn)の値が1.00〜1.50の範囲である請求項1記載のエポキシ樹脂。
- 請求項1〜6の何れか1つに記載のエポキシ樹脂、及び硬化剤を必須成分とする硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項7記載の硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化反応させてなる硬化物。
- 請求項7記載の硬化性樹脂組成物に、更に有機溶剤を配合してワニス化した樹脂組成物を、補強基材に含浸し銅箔を重ねて加熱圧着させることにより得られるプリント配線基板。
