Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.各々が所定セットの逆制御チャンネルの1つへ周期的信号送信を行う多数 の移動式セルラーホンの位置を求めるためのセルラーホン位置探知システムであ って、 (a)各々が、高い所の地上アンテナと、前記セルラーホンにより逆制御チャ ンネルへ送信されたセルラーホン信号を受信し、そのセルラーホン信号から抽出 したベースバンド信号を与えるために前記アンテナに作動的に結合されたベース バンドコンバータと、全てのセルサイトに共通のタイミング信号を受信するタイ ミング信号レシーバと、前記ベースバンド信号を所定のサンプリング周波数でサ ンプリングし、サンプリング済みの信号をフォーマットして、各々が所定数のデ ータビットと、前記セルラーホン信号が受信された時間を表わすタイムスタンプ ビットとよりなる、デジタルデータフレームを形成するために、前記タイミング 信号レシーバと前記ベースバンドコンバータに作動的に結合されたサンプリング サブシステムとよりなる、少なくとも3つのセルサイトシステム、及び (b)前記セルサイトシステムに作動的に結合され、前記セルサイトシステム からの前記データフレームを処理して個々のセルラーホン信号及び前記セルラー ホン信号の到達時間の前記セルサイトシステム間の差を示す表を作成する手段と 、前記到達時間差に基づき前記セルラーホン信号を発したセルラーホンの位置を 求める手段とよりなる中央サイトシステム からなるセルラーホン位置探知システム。 2.前記タイミング信号レシーバは、地球位置探知システム(GPS)レシー バよりなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 3.前記中央サイトシステムは、1つのセルサイトシステムからのフレームの データビットをその他の各セルサイトシステムからの対応データビットと相互相 関する相関器よりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 4.前記中央サイトシステムはさらに、 各々が前記セルサイトシステムの1つから信号を受信するよう接続された複数 のデータ入力ポートと、 前記入力ポートから信号を受信し、データビットとクロック信号を出力するた めのインターフェイス/デフォーマティング回路と、 各々がインターフェイス/デフォーマティング回路からデータビットとクロッ ク信号を受信するようにその回路に結合された複数のFIFOレジスタと、 各々が前記FIFOレジスタの1つの出力に結合された複数の入力ポートと、 前記相関器の入力ポートに結合された第1の出力ポート(A)及び第2の出力ポ ート(B)とよりなるスイッチと、 前記スイッチの入力にうち2つの入力を前記スイッチの出力ポート上へ出力す るように選択すべく前記スイッチに作動的に結合されたコンピュータと、 前記コンピュータと前記FIFOレジスタに結合されたRAM制御回路と、 前に選択したFIFOレジスタからサンプルビットを読取るために前記コンピ ュータ及び前記RAM制御回路により制御されるサンプル読み取りクロックと、 前記スイッチの前記第2の出力ポートに結合された入力ポートと、第1の出力 ポート(B1)と、第2の出力ポート(B2)と、前記第1の出力ポート(B1 )上に同相信号を、また前記第2の出力ポート(B2)上に直角位相信号を出力 する手段とよりなる直角位相チャンネル発生器とよりなり、 前記相関器は前記DATA A及びDATA B1信号の第1の相関係数と、 前記DATA A及びDATA B2信号の第2の相関係数を計算する請求項3 に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 5.前記ベースバンドコンバータの各々は、中間周波(IF)信号を与える第 1のミキサと、局部発振機(LO)信号を与えるシンセサイザと、前記第1のミ キサ及び前記シンセサイザに結合されて前記IF信号を上側帯波信号と下側帯波 信号に変換する単一の側帯波ミキサと、上側帯波信号及び下側帯波信号をフィル タリングしてフィルタリング済み上側帯波信号及び下側帯波信号に基づき前記ベ ースバンド信号を与える手段とよりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム 。 6.セルラーホン信号を受信するための第1のセルサイトの第1のレシーバ手 段と、 前記第1のセルサイトの受信セルラーホン信号を復調して復調デジタルビット 流を発生させるための前記第1のセルサイトの復調手段と、 復調デジタルビット流を変調して、最初に送信されたときのセルラーホン信号 を再構成することにより、第1の再構成セルラーホン信号を発生させるための前 記第1のセルサイトの第1の変調手段と、 前記再構成した信号を前記第1のセルサイトで受信したセルラーホン信号と相 互相関することにより、第1のセルサイトにおけるセルラーホン信号の到達時間 を示す第1のピークを発生させるための前記第1のセルサイトの第1の相互変調 手段と、 前記第1のピークに基づき第1のセルサイトでのセルラーホン信号の到達時間 を求め、それを示す第1の到達時間データを発生させる手段と、 復調デジタルビット流と、第1の到達時間データを第1のセルサイトから中央 サイトへ送る手段と、 復調デジタルビット流と、第1の到達時間データを第2のセルサイトへ配信す る手段と、 復調デジタルビット流を第2のセルサイトで変調することにより、セルラーホ ンにより最初に送信されたときのセルラーホン信号を再構成して、再構成された 第2のセルラーホン信号を発生させるための前記第2のセルサイトの第2の変調 手段と、 前記セルラーホン信号を受信するための前記第2のセルサイトの第2のレシー バ手段と、 再構成した第2の信号と、第2のセルサイトで受信したセルラーホン信号とを 相互相関することにより第2のセルサイトにおけるセルラーホン信号の到達時間 を示す第2のピークを発生させるための前記第2のセルサイトの第2の相互相関 手段と、 前記第2のピークに基づき第2のセルサイトにおけるセルラーホン信号の到達 時間を求め、それを示す第2の到達時間データを発生させる手段と、 前記第2の到達時間データを第2のセルサイトから中央サイトへ送る手段と、 前記第1及び第2の到達時間データに基づき到達時間差データを求める前記中 央サイトの手段とよりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 7.(1)所定の地理的エリアをカバーする、所定の緯度及び経度増分だけ離 れた理論的ポイントのグリッドを作成し、 (2)複数対のセルサイトにつき遅延時間理論値を計算し、 (3)複数対のセルサイトにつき遅延時間理論値と遅延時間測定値とに基づき 最小自乗差(LSD)の値を計算し、 (4)理論的ポイントの全グリッドをサーチして、LSDの値が最小となる最 適の緯度及び経度の理論値を求め、 (5)最適の緯度及び経度の理論値からスタートして別の線形重み付け最小自 乗逐次演算を行うことにより、実際の緯度及び経度の精度を所定の度数または1 度の端数内に収めることよりなる位置推定手段よりなる請求項1に記載のセルラ ーホンシステム。 8.前記計算ステップ(2)は、任意の既知のサイトにつき、機械的、電気的 または環境的要因により生じる偏りを調べ、前記サイトの偏りは既知の位置での 基準セルラートランスミッタの位置を周期的に計算することにより求める請求項 7に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 9.前記最小自乗差は下式で与えられる請求項7に記載のセルラーホンシステ ム: LSD=[Q12(遅延_T12−遅延_O12)2+ Q13(遅延_T13−遅延_O13)2+... Qxy(遅延_Txy−遅延_Oxy)2] 上式において、遅延_Txyはセルサイトxy間の遅延時間理論値を表わし;x 及びyはセルサイトを表わす指標であり;遅延_Oxyはセルサイトxy間の遅延 時間観測値を表わし;Qxyはセルサイトxy間の遅延時間測定値の品質係数を表 わし;この品質係数はマルチパスまたは他の異常事態が特定の遅延時間測定値に 影響を与えた度合いの推定値である。 10.さらに、セルラーホン信号の第1の前縁部を検出し、前記セルラーホン 信号のその後の前縁部をリジェクトして、マルチパス効果を軽減させるための手 段よりなる請求項7に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 11.(1)所定の速度範囲をカバーする、所定の増分だけ離れた理論的ポイ ントのグリッドを作成し、 (2)複数対のセルサイトにつき周波数差理論値を計算し、 (3)複数対のセルサイトにつき周波数差理論値と周波数差測定値とに基づき 最小自乗差(LSD)の値を計算し、 (4)理論的ポイントの全グリッドをサーチして、LSDの値が最小となる最 適の速度理論値を求め、 (5)最適の速度理論値からスタートして別の線形重み付け最小自乗逐次演算 を行うことにより、実際の速度の精度を所定の許容誤差内に収めることよりなる 速度推定手段よりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 12.さらに、セルラーホンと、そのそれぞれの位置を示す位置データを記憶 させるためのデータベースと、遠隔の加入者が前記データベースにアクセスでき るようにする手段とよりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 13.さらに、前記セルラーホンの特定の1つによるリクエストに応答して位 置データをその特定のセルラーホンに提供する手段よりなる請求項12に記載の セルラーホンシステム。 14.さらに、前記セルラーホンの前記位置データを料金請求データと結合し て修正料金請求データを発生させる手段よりなり、前記料金請求データはある特 定の時間の間に前記セルラーホンがかけた各通話のコストを示し、前記コストは 1またはそれ以上の所定の料金レートに基づき、前記修正料金請求データは1ま たはそれ以上の所定の場所からの通話に対して異なるレートが適用される請求項 12に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 15.システムはユーザの家庭からかけた通話に対して低い料金レートを適用 する請求項14に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 16.さらに、信号を選択されたセルラーホンに送信することにより、前記選 択されたセルラーホンをして制御チャンネルへ信号を送信させるための手段より なる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 17.さらに、セルラーホンからの危難信号の受信に応答して位置情報を所定 の受信ステーションへ自動的に送信することにより、危難に遭遇したユーザへ緊 急援助が与えられるようにする請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 18.さらに、所与のセルラーホンの現在位置を所定の位置範囲と比較し、前 記現在位置が前記所定の範囲にないときは警報状態を指示するための手段よりな る請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 19.さらに、所与のセルラーホンによる信号送信がないのを検出し、それに 応答して前記所与のセルラーホンを自動的に呼出すことにより前記所与のセルラ ーホンをして信号送信を開始させるための手段と、警報状態を指示するための手 段とよりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 20.さらに、所定の位置への所与のセルラーホンの到達時間を推定するため の手段よりなる請求項1に記載のセルラーホンシステム。 21.さらに、所与のセルラーホンがボイスチャンネルへ送信したボイス信号 を受信し、前記所与のセルラーホンの位置を前記ボイス信号に基づき求めること により、所与のセルラーホンを継続的に追跡するための手段よりなる請求項1に 記載のセルラーホンシステム。 22.移動式セルラーホンを所有する複数の加入者にサービスを提供する地上 設置セルラーホンシステムであって、 (a)各々が所定セットの逆制御チャンネルの1つへ周期的信号送信を行う複 数の移動式セルラーホンが送信した信号を受信する設備をもつ、少なくとも3つ のセルサイトと、 (b)逆制御チャンネルへの前記周期的信号送信時に発せられた信号を受信し 処理することによって前記セルラーホンの位置を自動的に求める位置測定手段と 、 (c)セルラーホンと、そのそれぞれの位置とを示す位置データを記憶させ、 遠隔の加入者がアクセスできるようにするためのデータベース手段とよりなる地 上設置セルラーホンシステム。 23.さらに、前記セルラーホンの特定の1つによるリクエストに応答して位 置データをその特定のセルラーホンに提供する手段よりなる請求項22に記載の 地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 24.さらに、前記セルラーホンの前記位置データを料金請求データと結合し て修正料金請求データを発生させる手段よりなり、前記料金請求データはある特 定の時間の間に前記セルラーホンがかけた各通話のコストを示し、前記コストは 1またはそれ以上の所定の料金レートに基づき、前記修正料金請求データは1ま たはそれ以上の所定の場所からの通話に対して異なるレートが適用される請求項 22に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 25.さらに、信号を選択されたセルラーホンに送信することにより、前記選 択されたセルラーホンをして制御チャンネルへ信号を送信させるための手段より なる請求項22に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 26.さらに、セルラーホンからの危難信号の受信に応答して位置情報を所定 の受信ステーションへ自動的に送信することにより、危難に遭遇した加入者へ緊 急援助が与えられるようにする請求項22に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステ ム。 27.さらに、所与のセルラーホンの現在位置を所定の位置範囲と比較し、前 記現在位置が前記所定の範囲にないときは警報状態を指示するための手段よりな る請求項22に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 28.さらに、所与のセルラーホンによる信号送信がないのを検出し、それに 応答して前記所与のセルラーホンを自動的に呼出すことにより前記所与のセルラ ーホンをして信号送信を開始させるための手段と、警報状態を指示するための手 段とよりなる請求項22に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 29.さらに、所定の位置への所与のセルラーホンの到達時間を推定するため の手段よりなる請求項22に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 30.さらに、所与のセルラーホンがボイスチャンネルへ送信したボイス信号 を受信し、前記所与のセルラーホンの位置を前記ボイス信号に基づき求めること により、所与のセルラーホンを継続的に追跡するための手段よりなる請求項22 に記載の地上設置セルラーホンシステム。 31.所定セットの逆制御チャンネルの1つへ信号を周期的に送信する1また はそれ以上の移動式セルラーホンの位置を求める方法であって、 (a)少なくとも3つの地理的に離れたセルサイトにおいて前記逆制御チャン ネル信号を受信し、 (b)各セルサイトにおいて前記信号を処理することにより、各々が所定数の データビットと、各セルサイトにおいてデータフレームが作成された時間を表わ すタイムスタンプビットよりなるデータフレームを作成し、 (c)前記データフレームを処理することにより、個々のセルラーホン信号と 前記セルサイト間の前記セルラーホン信号の到達時間の差を求め、 (d)前記到達時間差に基づき前記セルラーホン信号を発したセルラーホンの 位置を求めるステップよりなる方法。 32.セルラーホンとそのそれぞれの位置を示す位置データをデータベースに 記憶させ、遠隔の加入者が前記データベースにアクセスできるようにするステッ プよりなる請求項31に記載の方法。 33.さらに、前記セルラーホンの前記位置データを料金請求データと結合し て修正料金データを作成することよりなり、前記料金請求データはある所定の時 間の間前記セルラーホンがかけた各通話のコストを示し、前記コストは1または それ以上の所定の料金レートに基づき、前記修正料金データは1またはそれ以上 の所定の位置からの通話に対して異なるレートが適用される請求項31に記載の 方法。 34.さらに、信号を選択されたセルラーホンに送信することにより、前記選 択されたセルラーホンをして制御チャンネルへ信号を送信させるための手段より なる請求項31に記載の方法。 35.さらに、セルラーホンからの危難信号の受信に応答して位置情報を所定 の受信ステーションへ自動的に送信することにより、危難に遭遇したユーザへ緊 急援助が与えられるようにする請求項1に記載の方法。 36.さらに、所与のセルラーホンの現在位置を所定の位置範囲と比較し、前 記現在位置が前記所定の範囲にないときは警報状態を指示するための手段よりな る請求項31に記載の方法。 37.さらに、所与のセルラーホンによる信号送信がないのを検出し、それに 応答して前記所与のセルラーホンを自動的に呼出すことにより前記所与のセルラ ーホンをして信号送信を開始させるための手段と、警報状態を指示するための手 段とよりなる請求項31に記載の方法。 38.さらに、所定の位置への所与のセルラーホンの到達時間を推定するため の手段よりなる請求項31に記載の方法。 39.さらに、所与のセルラーホンがボイスチャンネルへ送信したボイス信号 を受信し、前記所与のセルラーホンの位置を前記ボイス信号に基づき求めること により、所与のセルラーホンを継続的に追跡するための手段よりなる請求項31 に記載の方法。 40.第1のセルサイトでセルラーホン信号を受信し、 前記第1のセルサイトで受信セルラーホン信号を復調して、復調デジタルビッ ト流を発生させ、 復調デジタルビット流を変調して、最初に送信されたときのセルラーホン信号 を再構成することにより、再構成された第1のセルラーホン信号を発生させ、 前記再構成信号と前記第1のセルサイトで受信したセルラーホン信号とを相互 相関することにより、第1のセルサイトでのセルラーホン信号の到達時間を示す 第1のピークを発生させ、 前記第1のピークに基づき第1のセルサイトでのセルラーホン信号の到達時間 を求め、それを示す第1の到達時間データを発生させ、 復調デジタルビット流と、第1の到達時間データを第1のセルサイトから中央 サイトヘ送り、 復調デジタルビット流と第1の到達時間データを第2のセルサイトへ配信し、 復調デジタルビット流を第2のセルサイトで変調することにより、セルラーホ ンにより最初に送信されたときのセルラーホン信号を再構成して、再構成された 第2のセルラーホン信号を発生させ、 前記セルラーホン信号を前記第2のセルサイトで受信し、 再構成した第2の信号と、第2のセルサイトで受信したセルラーホン信号とを 相互相関することにより、第2のセルサイトにおけるセルラーホン信号の到達時 間を示す第2のピークを発生させ、 前記第2のピークに基づき第2のセルサイトにおけるセルラーホン信号の到達 時間を求め、それを示す第2の到達時間データを発生させ、 前記第2の到達時間データを第2のセルサイトから中央サイトへ送り、 前記第1及び第2の到達時間データに基づき到達時間差データを求めるステッ プよりなる請求項31に記載の方法。 41.(1)所定の地理的エリアをカバーする、所定の緯度及び経度増分だけ 離れた理論的ポイントのグリッドを作成し、 (2)複数対のセルサイトにつき遅延時間理論値を計算し、 (3)複数対のセルサイトにつき遅延時間理論値と遅延時間測定値とに基づき 最小自乗差(LSD)の値を計算し、 (4)理論的ポイントの全グリッドをサーチして、LSDの値が最小となる最 適の緯度及び経度の理論値を求め、 (5)最適の緯度及び経度の理論値からスタートして別の線形重み付け最小自 乗逐次演算を行うことにより、実際の緯度及び経度の精度を所定の度数または1 度の端数内に収める ステップを実行することによりセルラーホンの位置を推定することよりなる請求 項31に記載の方法。 42.前記計算ステップ(2)は、任意の既知のサイトにつき、機械的、電気 的または環境的要因により生じる偏りを調べ、前記サイトの偏りは既知の位置で の基準セルラートランスミッタの位置を周期的に計算することにより求める請求 項41に記載の方法。 43.前記最小自乗差は下式で与えられる請求項41に記載の方法: LSD=[Q12(遅延_T12−遅延_O12)2+ Q13(遅延_T13−遅延_O13)2+...
