Description
ポリオレフィン、無機物粒子及びSi-O-Si架橋結合を有する架橋ポリオレフィンを含み、
前記無機物粒子に、酸素(O)を介して前記Si-O-Si架橋結合のケイ素(Si)が化学的に結合されている、シラン架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記無機物粒子に少なくとも1個以上の酸素が化学的に結合されている、シラン架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記無機物粒子が金属であり、前記金属の酸化数(oxidation number)と同じ個数の酸素が化学的に結合されている、シラン架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記架橋ポリオレフィンが、下記化学式1で表される化合物を含む、シラン架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記無機物粒子の含量が、前記架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の全体重量を基準にして5~70重量%である、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記無機物粒子が、ヒドロキシ基を少なくとも1個以上含む金属水酸化物から誘導されたものである、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記金属が、アルミニウム、マグネシウム、ケイ素、ジルコニウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、バリウム、アンチモン、錫、亜鉛、希土類元素のうちいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2つ以上の元素を含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
前記金属水酸化物が、水酸化アルミニウム、水酸化マグネシウム、水酸化カルシウム、ベーマイトのうちいずれか一つまたはこれらのうち2つ以上を含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜に関する。
(S1)ポリオレフィン、希釈剤、開始剤、架橋触媒、及び炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子を押出機に投入及び混合してシラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物を反応押出する段階と、
(S2)前記反応押出されたシラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物をシート状に成形及び延伸する段階と、
(S3)前記延伸されたシートから前記希釈剤を抽出して多孔性膜を製造する段階と、
(S4)前記多孔性膜を熱固定する段階と、
(S5)前記熱固定された多孔性膜を水分存在下で架橋させる段階とを含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記ポリオレフィンの重量平均分子量が、200,000~1,000,000である、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子が、ヒドロキシ基を少なくとも1個以上含む無機物粒子と、前記無機物粒子にカップリングされている炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランとを含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子において、前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランの加水分解反応から由来した化合物内の酸素原子と、前記無機物粒子とが化学的に結合されている、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子が、
(S10)炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランを加水分解して炭素-炭素二重結合基含有シラノールを製造する段階、及び
(S11)前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有シラノールとヒドロキシ基を少なくとも1個以上含む無機物粒子とを混合する段階によって製造される、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記混合する段階が25℃~80℃で実施される、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記シラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物が、ポリオレフィン、前記ポリオレフィンにグラフトされたシラン、及び前記グラフトされたシランのケイ素に対して前記酸素を介して結合された無機物粒子を含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記(S5)段階で、前記無機物粒子に対して表面処理された前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランが前記ポリオレフィンと水架橋する、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランが、下記化学式2で表される化合物を含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
前記Rはビニル基、アクリルオキシ基、メタクリルオキシ基または炭素数1~20のアルキル基であり、このとき、前記アルキル基の少なくとも一つの水素がビニル基、アクリルオキシ基またはメタクリルオキシ基で置換される。
前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランが、ビニルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリエトキシシラン、ビニルトリアセトキシシラン、(3-メタクリルオキシプロピル)トリメトキシシラン、(3-メタクリルオキシプロピル)トリエトキシシラン、ビニルメチルジメトキシシラン、ビニル-トリス(2-メトキシエトキシ)シラン、ビニルメチルジエトキシシラン、またはこれらのうち少なくとも2つ以上の混合物を含む、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法に関する。
(S1)ポリオレフィン、希釈剤、開始剤、架橋触媒、及び炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子を押出機に投入及び混合してシラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物を反応押出する段階と、
(S2)前記反応押出されたシラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物をシート状に成形及び延伸する段階と、
(S3)前記延伸されたシートから前記希釈剤を抽出して多孔性膜を製造する段階と、
(S4)前記多孔性膜を熱固定する段階と、
(S5)前記熱固定された多孔性膜を水分存在下で架橋させる段階とを含む。
(1)シラン表面処理された無機物粒子の製造
ヘンシェルミキサーに、水酸化マグネシウム(Nabaltech社製、APYMAG100)とビニルトリメトキシシランとを25:1の比率(重量比)で投入し、相対湿度50%の条件で150rpm、50℃で混合してシラン表面処理された無機物粒子を製造した。具体的には、このような相対湿度50%の条件、150rpm、50℃での混合過程を通じて、ビニルトリメトキシシランが加水分解してビニルトリメトキシシラノールが得られ、前記ビニルトリメトキシシラノールが水酸化マグネシウムのヒドロキシ基と反応してシラン表面処理された無機物粒子が製造された。このとき、前記ビニルトリメトキシシランは炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランとして使用されたものであり、後述する実施例1-(2)で使用されるポリオレフィン及び希釈剤の総含量100重量部を基準にして1重量部で投入した。
まず、押出機に、ポリオレフィンとして重量平均分子量400,000の高密度ポリエチレン(大韓油化製、VH035、溶融温度:135℃)10.5kg、希釈剤として液体パラフィンオイル(極東油化製、LP350F、40℃における動粘度50cSt)13.65kg/hr、(1)で製造したシラン表面処理された無機物粒子20kgを投入及び混合した。ポリオレフィン:希釈剤:シラン表面処理された無機物粒子は25:55:20(重量比)で投入した。
(1)シラン表面処理された無機物粒子の製造
ヘンシェルミキサーに、ベーマイト(Nabaltech社製、ACTILOX200SM)とビニルトリメトキシシランとを25:1の比率(重量比)で投入し、相対湿度50%の条件で150rpm、50℃で混合してシラン表面処理された無機物粒子を製造した。このとき、前記ビニルトリメトキシシランは炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランとして使用されたものであり、上述した実施例1-(2)で使用されたポリオレフィン及び希釈剤の総含量100重量部を基準にして1重量部で投入した。
まず、押出機に、ポリオレフィンとしての重量平均分子量400,000の高密度ポリエチレン(大韓油化製、VH035、溶融温度:135℃)と、希釈剤としての液体パラフィンオイル(極東油化製、LP350F、40℃における動粘度50cSt)とを重量比30:70で投入した。押出量は80kg/hrであり、ポリエチレンが21kg/hr、希釈剤が59kg/hrであった。また、前記押出機に炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランとしてトリメトキシビニルシランをポリオレフィン及び希釈剤の総含量100重量部を基準にして2重量部で投入し、開始剤として2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(tert-ブチルペルオキシ)ヘキサン(DHBP)を炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシラン100重量部を基準にして5重量部で投入した。また、架橋触媒としてジブチル錫ジラウレートを炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシラン100重量部を基準にして5重量部で添加した。
高密度ポリオレフィンとして高密度ポリエチレンとシラングラフトされたポリエチレン(現代EP社製、XP650)とを15:15の重量比で投入したことを除き、比較例1と同じ方法で架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜を製造した。
押出機に、高密度ポリエチレンと希釈剤と水酸化マグネシウム(Nabaltech社製、APYMAG100)とを25:55:20の重量比で投入したことを除き、比較例1と同じ方法でポリオレフィン分離膜を製造した。
押出機に、高密度ポリエチレンと希釈剤とビニルトリメトキシシランとシリカ(韓国ナノ素材社製、KRU1133M)とをそれぞれ24.8:54.6:0.8:19.8(重量比)で投入したことを除き、比較例1と同じ方法で架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜を製造した。
実施例1、2、比較例1~4によって製造された分離膜に対する評価結果を下記表1に示した。
(1)分離膜の厚さ
分離膜の厚さは、厚み測定器(ミツトヨ社製、VL-50S-B)を用いて測定した。
JIS P-8117に準拠して、ガーレー式空気透過度計を用いて測定した。このとき、直径28.6mm、面積645mm2を空気100ccが通過する時間を測定した。
熱収縮率は、(最初の長さ-120℃/1hrの熱収縮処理後の長さ)/(最初の長さ)×100で算定した。
実施例及び比較例による架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法において、押出後のT-ダイから直径1.0mm以上の異物が3つ以上検出されるとダイドルールが発生したと判断した。
耐熱特性を調べるため、TMA(TA社製、TMAQ400)を用いて分離膜に0.01Nの荷重を加え、温度を5℃/分の速度で高めながら変形程度を測定した。温度上昇によって収縮してから再び延伸して切断される温度を測定した。このような温度を分離膜のメルトダウン温度と定義し、該温度が高いほど高温における溶融寸法安定性(melt integrity)が維持されて寸法安定性を有すると言える。
実施例及び比較例で製造された分離膜を電解液に含浸させた後、AC抵抗を測定し、その結果を表1に示した。このとき、AC抵抗はHioki社製のテスタで1KHzにおける抵抗を測定した値である。
分離膜製造時の初期ギヤポンプ前端圧力(P0)に比べて分離膜製造後のギヤポンプ前端圧力(P1)の変化が0.2Mpa/h以上である場合、押出機内の圧力が上昇したと判断した。
Claims (10)
- (S1)ポリオレフィン、希釈剤、開始剤、架橋触媒、及び炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子を押出機に投入及び混合してシラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物を反応押出する段階と、
(S2)前記反応押出されたシラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物をシート状に成形及び延伸する段階と、
(S3)前記延伸されたシートから前記希釈剤を抽出して多孔性膜を製造する段階と、
(S4)前記多孔性膜を熱固定する段階と、
(S5)前記熱固定された多孔性膜を水分存在下で架橋させる段階とを含み、
前記(S1)段階において、押出機にポリオレフィン、希釈剤、及び炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子を投入した後、押出機に開始剤及び架橋触媒を投入する、架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。 - 前記ポリオレフィンの重量平均分子量が、200,000~1,000,000である、請求項1に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
- 前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子が、ヒドロキシ基を少なくとも1個以上含む無機物粒子と、前記無機物粒子にカップリングされている炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランとを含む、請求項1または2に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
- 前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子において、前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランの加水分解反応から由来した化合物内の酸素原子と、前記無機物粒子とが化学的に結合されている、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
- 前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランで表面処理された無機物粒子が、
(S10)炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランを加水分解して炭素-炭素二重結合基含有シラノールを製造する段階、及び
(S11)前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有シラノールとヒドロキシ基を少なくとも1個以上含む無機物粒子とを混合する段階によって製造される、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。 - 前記混合する段階が25℃~80℃で実施される、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
- 前記シラングラフトされたポリオレフィン組成物が、ポリオレフィン、前記ポリオレフィンにグラフトされたシラン、及び前記グラフトされたシランのケイ素に対して酸素を介して結合された無機物粒子を含む、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
- 前記(S5)段階で、前記無機物粒子に対して表面処理された前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランが前記ポリオレフィンと水架橋する、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
- 前記炭素-炭素二重結合基含有アルコキシシランが、ビニルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリエトキシシラン、ビニルトリアセトキシシラン、(3-メタクリルオキシプロピル)トリメトキシシラン、(3-メタクリルオキシプロピル)トリエトキシシラン、ビニルメチルジメトキシシラン、ビニル-トリス(2-メトキシエトキシ)シラン、ビニルメチルジエトキシシラン、またはこれらのうち少なくとも2つ以上の混合物を含む、請求項9に記載の架橋ポリオレフィン分離膜の製造方法。
