本特許協力条約特許出願は、2015年9月28日に出願の「Illumination Structure for Uniform Illumination of Keys」と題する米国特許仮出願第62/233,975号、及び2016年2月3日に出願の「Illumination Structure for Uniform Illumination of Keys」と題する米国非仮出願第15/014,596号の優先権を主張するものであり、その開示内容は本明細書に参照により全て組み込まれている。
Claims (22)
- 基板と、
前記基板に連結されたドームと、
前記基板の上方にあって、少なくとも部分的に前記ドームの周囲にある光ガイドと、
前記基板上に配置されており、前記光ガイド内に光を向けるように構成された光源と、
前記光ガイドの上方に配置されており、ユーザによって押されたことに応じて前記ドームをつぶれさせるように構成されたキーキャップと、
を備え、
前記光ガイドは、光を前記光ガイドの内部へ反射する1組の反射機構を含み、前記1組の反射機構は、前記光ガイド内の第1の場所において第1密度で配置され、前記光ガイド内の第2の場所において第2密度で配置され、
前記光源から前記第2の場所までの距離は、前記光源から前記第1の場所までの距離より長く、前記第2密度は前記第1密度より大きい、キー機構。 - 前記1組の反射機構の密度は、前記光源からの距離が離れるにつれて増加する、請求項1に記載のキー機構。
- 前記キーキャップに接続されており、前記キーキャップを前記基板の上方で支持し、前記キーキャップを前記基板に対して移動可能にするように構成された支持機構を、前記キー機構は更に備え、
前記キーキャップは照明可能なグリフを含み、
前記光ガイドは前記光源からの光を前記照明可能なグリフの方へ導く、請求項1に記載のキー機構。 - 前記キー機構は、前記基板に連結された構造体を更に備え、
前記支持機構は前記構造体に連結されている、請求項3に記載のキー機構。 - 前記構造体はチャネルを画定し、
前記光ガイドは前記チャネル内に配置されている、請求項4に記載のキー機構。 - 前記構造体及び前記光ガイドは、異なる屈折率を有する異なる材料で形成されている、請求項4に記載のキー機構。
- 前記光ガイドは、1組の光抽出機構を更に含む、請求項4に記載のキー機構。
- キーキャップと、
前記キーキャップの下方にあり、開口を画定する構造体と、
光ガイドと、
前記キーキャップの下方にあり、前記開口内に少なくとも部分的に配置されたドームと、
前記光ガイド内に光を向けるように構成された光源と、
を備え、
前記光ガイドは、前記光ガイドから光を抽出するように構成された1組の光抽出機構を含み、前記1組の光抽出機構は、前記光源からの距離が離れるにつれて増加する密度を示す、キー機構。 - 前記光ガイドの上面に沿ったよりも前記光ガイドの側面に沿ったほうがより大きな内部反射を生成するように構成された1つ以上の反射機構を更に備える、請求項8に記載のキー機構。
- 前記1組の光抽出機構は、前記光ガイドの上面から光を抽出するように構成されている、請求項8に記載のキー機構。
- 前記キーキャップに接続されており、前記キーキャップを前記光ガイドの上方で支持するように構成された支持機構を、前記キー機構は更に備え、
前記キーキャップは照明可能なグリフを含み、
前記1組の光抽出機構は、前記抽出された光を前記照明可能なグリフの方へ向けるように構成されている、請求項8に記載のキー機構。 - 前記支持機構は、
第1ウイングと、
第2ウイングと、
前記第1ウイングを前記第2ウイングに接続するリビングヒンジと、
を含む、請求項11に記載のキー機構。 - 前記第1ウイングと前記第2ウイングは協働して前記構造体を取り囲む閉リングを画定する、請求項12に記載のキー機構。
- 前記支持機構は、前記構造体に接続されており、
前記光ガイドは、前記構造体の凹部に共成形される、請求項11に記載のキー機構。 - 前記光ガイド及び前記構造体は共に透明である、請求項14に記載のキー機構。
- 基板と、
前記基板の上方で支持されたキーキャップと、
前記基板と前記キーキャップとの間にあって、
上面と、
前記上面に対向する底面と、
前記底面と前記上面との間に位置する側面と、
を画定する光ガイドと、
前記光ガイドによって画定される開口内に配置されたドームと、
前記光ガイドの前記側面を通して前記光ガイド内に光を向けるように構成された光源と、
を備え、
前記側面は、前記光源からの光が放射されることを可能にするように構成された1組の側壁機構を有し、
前記1組の側壁機構は、前記光源に対する前記1組の側壁機構の位置に基づいて変化する密度を有する、電子デバイス。 - 前記1組の側壁機構の密度は、前記光源からの距離が離れるにつれて増加する、請求項16に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記光ガイドの前記底面は、前記光ガイドの前記上面よりも大きい反射率を有する、請求項16に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記光ガイドは、前記光源からの光を前記光ガイドの周囲に導くように構成された導光機構を更に備える、請求項16に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記導光機構は、前記光の第1の部分を第1の進行方向に導き、前記光の第2の部分を第2の進行方向に導くように構成されている、請求項19に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記導光機構上に反射コーティングを更に備える、請求項19に記載の電子デバイス。
- 前記キーキャップに接続されており、前記ドームの上方で前記キーキャップを支持するように、かつ、力に応じて前記キーキャップが前記ドームをつぶすことができるように構成された支持機構を更に備え、前記ドームをつぶすことが前記電子デバイスの電子スイッチ回路のアクティブ化をもたらす、請求項19に記載の電子デバイス。
