Claims (6)
- 2輪駆動状態から4輪駆動状態とする場合には、駆動源から左右の主駆動輪へ伝達される駆動力の一部を、動力伝達部材を介して左右の副駆動輪へ出力するための4輪駆動車両のトランスファであって、
一回転軸線まわりに回転可能に支持され、前記動力伝達部材を駆動するための円筒状のリングギヤと、
前記リングギヤ内を貫通し且つ前記リングギヤと同心で回転可能に支持され、前記駆動源から前記主駆動輪へ伝達される駆動力の一部が入力される入力軸と、
前記リングギヤと前記入力軸との間を断接する断接機構と、
前記断接機構を、前記リングギヤと前記入力軸とを相対回転不能に連結するコネクト位置と前記リングギヤと前記入力軸との相対回転を許容するディスコネクト位置との間で切り換えるアクチュエータとを、含み、
前記断接機構は、
前記リングギヤに形成された第1噛合歯と、
前記第1噛合歯に係合可能な第2噛合歯を有し、前記入力軸に相対回転不能且つ前記回転軸線方向に移動可能に設けられた可動噛合部材とを、含む噛合式断接機構であり、
前記アクチュエータは、電磁石を用いて、前記可動噛合部材を前記コネクト位置と前記ディスコネクト位置とに移動させるものであり、
前記アクチュエータは、
前記可動噛合部材を前記ディスコネクト位置から前記コネクト位置に向かって付勢するスプリングと、
前記電磁石により所定のストロークで前記回転軸線方向に往復駆動される第1ピストンと、前記入力軸に対して相対回転可能に設けられ、前記第1ピストンにより前記スプリングの付勢力に抗して移動させられる第2ピストンと、複数段の掛止歯を有して前記入力軸に相対回転不能かつ前記回転軸線方向に移動不能に設けられ、前記複数段の掛止歯のいずれかで前記第1ピストンにより移動させられた前記第2ピストンを掛け止めるホルダーとを備え、前記第1ピストンの所定回の往復ストロークで前記第2ピストンが前記可動噛合部材を前記ディスコネクト位置へ前記スプリングの付勢力に抗して移動させ、前記所定回を越えると前記第2ピストンを掛け外して前記スプリングの付勢力に従って前記可動噛合部材を前記コネクト位置へ移動させる掛外し機構とを、含むことを特徴とする4輪駆動車両のトランスファ。 - 前記入力軸は、ケース内に設けられた一対の軸受に両端部が支持されることによって、前記リングギヤと同心に回転可能に支持されており、
前記断接機構は、前記一対の軸受の間に配置されている請求項1の4輪駆動車両のトランスファ。 - 前記動力伝達部材は、前記副駆動輪側に動力を伝達するプロペラシャフトであり、
前記掛外し機構および電磁石は、前記プロペラシャフトの軸心に対して前記リングギヤと同じ側に配置されている請求項1または2の4輪駆動車両のトランスファ。 - 前記電磁石と前記掛外し機構との間に、前記掛外し機構の第1ピストンと前記回転軸線方向において重なる状態で介挿された環状部材と、それら環状部材と第1ピストンとに形成された互いに対向する一対のカム面で挟まれた球状転動体とを有し、それら環状部材と第1ピストンとが相対回転させられるとそれら環状部材と第1ピストンとの間が離隔させられるボールカムが配設されており、
前記電磁石によって前記環状部材に制動トルクが伝達されてそれら環状部材と第1ピストンとが相対回転すると、前記ボールカムによって前記掛外し機構を介して前記可動噛合部材が前記回転軸線方向に移動させられる請求項1から3のいずれか1の4輪駆動車両のトランスファ。 - 前記入力軸に相対回転不能に設けられた入力軸側の摩擦係合部材と、前記リングギヤに相対回転不能且つ前記回転軸線方向に前記可動噛合部材と共に移動可能に設けられたリングギヤ側の摩擦係合部材とを有し、前記可動噛合部材が前記コネクト位置に移動させられるに先立って前記入力軸側の摩擦係合部材と前記リングギヤ側の摩擦係合部材とが相互に摺接させられることで前記入力軸の回転と前記リングギヤの回転とを同期させる同期装置が、備えられており、
前記円筒状のリングギヤの内側において、前記可動噛合部材と前記掛外し機構との間に前記同期装置が配設されている請求項1から4のいずれか1の4輪駆動車両のトランスファ。 - 前記入力軸の前記リングギヤの軸方向の長さ範囲に対応する部分と前記リングギヤとの間に、前記可動噛合部材の一部が配設されている請求項1から5のいずれか1の4輪駆動車両のトランスファ。
