Claims (4)
- 駆動源から左右の主駆動輪へ駆動力を伝達する2輪駆動状態と、該駆動源から左右の副駆動輪へも伝達する4輪駆動状態とが選択的に実行される4輪駆動車両において、2輪駆動状態では、4輪駆動状態において専ら前記副駆動輪へ駆動力を伝達する動力伝達部材を該副駆動輪から切り離す左右駆動力配分ユニットであって、
一軸線まわりに回転可能に片持状に支持されて前記4輪駆動状態において駆動力が伝達される円筒状のリングギヤと、
該リングギヤを貫通し且つ該リングギヤと同心状態で回転可能に支持され、該リングギヤに伝達された駆動力を前記左右の副駆動輪へ出力する出力軸と、
前記一軸線方向に移動させられる可動係合部材を有し、該可動係合部材の移動位置に応じて前記リングギヤの内周面と該出力軸の外周面との間を断接するディスコネクト機構と、
前記リングギヤの外周係合歯に対して該リングギヤが支持される側とは反対側に位置し、該可動係合部材を、前記リングギヤと前記出力軸とを相対回転不能に連結するコネクト位置と該リングギヤと該出力軸との相対回転を許容するディスコネクト位置との間で移動させるアクチュエータと
を、含み、
前記ディスコネクト機構は、
前記円筒状のリングギヤの内周面に形成された内周係合歯と、
前記可動係合部材の外周面に形成され、前記リングギヤの内周係合歯と係合可能な外周係合歯とを含み、
前記可動係合部材は、少なくとも長手方向の一部が前記リングギヤの内側に挿入され、前記出力軸の外周面に軸線方向の移動可能且つ軸線まわりの相対回転不能に設けられた円筒状部材であり、
当該左右駆動力配分ユニットは、
前記可動係合部材を前記ディスコネクト位置から前記コネクト位置へ向かって前記軸線方向に付勢するスプリングと、
ディスコネクト指令信号にしたがって作動する電磁石が、所定のストロークで前記コネクト位置にある前記可動係合部材を前記ディスコネクト位置へ向かって前記スプリングの付勢力に抗して移動させてそのディスコネクト位置で掛け止め、コネクト指令信号にしたがって作動する電磁石が該ディスコネクト位置にある該可動係合部材を掛け外して前記スプリングの付勢力にしたがって前記コネクト位置へ移動させる電磁掛外し機構と
が、備えられていることを特徴とする4輪駆動車両のディスコネクト機構付左右駆動力配分ユニット。 - 前記出力軸の両端部には、該出力軸から前記左右の副駆動輪へ伝達される駆動力を制御する一対の電子制御カップリングがそれぞれ連結されていることを特徴とする請求項1の4輪駆動車両のディスコネクト機構付左右駆動力配分ユニット。
- 前記一対の電子制御カップリングは、前記出力軸とその左右両端部において一体的にそれぞれ固定された状態で前記左右駆動力配分ユニットのケース内に収容され、
前記出力軸と前記一対の電子制御カップリングは、該一対の電子制御カップリングを直接支持する左右一対の軸受けを介して前記ケースにより回転可能に支持されていることを特徴とする請求項2のディスコネクト機構付左右駆動力配分ユニット。 - 前記リングギヤの前記電磁掛外し機構側に相対回転不能に設けられたギヤ側摩擦係合部材と、前記出力軸の外周面において相対回転不能且つ軸線方向の相対移動可能に設けられて前記スプリングにより付勢された可動側摩擦係合部材とを有し、前記ディスコネクト位置にある前記可動係合部材を前記コネクト位置へ移動させるに先立って該ギヤ側摩擦係合部材と該可動側摩擦係合部材とを相互に摺接させることにより前記可動係合部材の回転と前記リングギヤの回転とを同期させる同期機構
を、含むことを特徴とする請求項1の4輪駆動車両のディスコネクト機構付左右駆動力配分ユニット。
