以下、本発明の具体的な実施例を提示する。ただし、以下に記載された実施例は本発明を具体的に例示または説明するためのものに過ぎず、これによって本発明が制限されるものではない。
〔実施例1〕
正極活物質としてLiCoO2、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)および導電材としてカーボンを用い、それぞれ92:4:4の質量比に混合し、N−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて正極活物質層組成物を製造した。正極活物質層組成物を厚さ12μmのアルミニウム箔にコーティングして乾燥および圧延し、正極を製造した。
実施例1にて電解液としてエチレンカーボネート(EC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)およびプロピオン酸エチル(EP)の混合体積比が3:1:6である混合溶液を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1にて電解液としてエチレンカーボネート(EC)、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)およびプロピオン酸エチル(EP)の混合体積比が3:1:6である混合溶液を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1にて電解液としてエチレンカーボネート(EC)、プロピレンカーボネート(PC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)およびプロピオン酸エチル(EP)の混合体積比が3:1:1:5である混合溶液を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1にて電解液としてエチレンカーボネート(EC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)およびプロピオン酸エチル(EP)の混合体積比が3:1:1:5である混合溶液を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1にて電解液としてエチレンカーボネート(EC)、プロピレンカーボネート(PC)、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)およびプロピオン酸エチル(EP)の混合体積比が3:1:1:5である混合溶液を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1にてエチレンカーボネート(EC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)およびジエチルカーボネート(DEC)の混合体積比が3:5:2である混合溶液に1.15M濃度のLiPF6と0.2質量部(混合溶液100質量部基準)のLiBF4を溶解して電解液を製造したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1にてポリフッ化ビニリデンでコーティングされない一般的なセパレータを使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法で半電池を製作した。
実施例1〜6および比較例1および2により製作されたそれぞれのリチウム2次電池を過充電し、電圧および温度の状態を測定した結果を図2〜図9に示した。
実施例1〜6でそれぞれ製作されたリチウム2次電池を出荷充電状態3.8Vとし、700mAおよび5.25Vで10時間過充電した。また、比較例1および2でそれぞれ製作されたリチウム2次電池を満充電状態とし、2Aおよび5.25Vで230分間過充電した。それぞれのリチウム2次電池で発生現象および外形を観察して過充電時の安全性を評価し、その結果を下記表1に示した。

Claims (18)
- 正極と、
負極と、
前記正極と前記負極との間に位置するセパレータと、
前記セパレータの表面に位置し、ポリフッ化ビニリデン系高分子を含む高分子層と、
プロピオン酸メチル、プロピオン酸エチルおよびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つを含む電解液と、
を含む、リチウム2次電池。 - 前記高分子層は、前記セパレータの表面と前記正極の表面との間、および前記セパレータの表面と前記負極の表面との間のうちの少なくともどちらか一方に形成される、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン系高分子は、ポリフッ化ビニリデン又はポリフッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体から選択される少なくとも一つを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン系高分子のローディングレベルは、0.5〜3.0g/m2である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン系高分子のローディングレベルは、1.5〜2.5g/m2である、請求項4に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記高分子層は、有機粉末、セラミック粉末およびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つのフィラーをさらに含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記高分子層は、前記有機粉末を含む、請求項6に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記有機粉末は、ポリメチルメタクリレートを含む、請求項7に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記高分子層は、前記セラミック粉末を含む、請求項6に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記セラミック粉末は、Al2O3、Mg(OH)2およびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つを含む、請求項9に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記セラミック粉末は、前記高分子層総量に対して0.1〜98質量%にて含まれる、請求項9又は10に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記セラミック粉末は、前記高分子層総量に対して3〜20質量%にて含まれる、請求項11に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記プロピオン酸メチル、プロピオン酸エチルおよびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つは、前記電解液総量に対して10〜70体積%で含まれる、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記プロピオン酸メチル、プロピオン酸エチルおよびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つは、前記電解液総量に対して20〜70体積%で含まれる、請求項13に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記プロピオン酸メチル、プロピオン酸エチルおよびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つは、前記電解液総量に対して50〜60体積%で含まれる、請求項14に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記電解液は、リチウム塩および非水性有機溶媒をさらに含む、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記電解液は、カーボネート系溶媒をさらに含み、
前記カーボネート系溶媒および前記プロピオン酸メチル、プロピオン酸エチルおよびこれらの組み合わせの中から選択される一つは、4:6〜6:6の体積比で含まれる、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。 - 前記電解液は液体である、請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。
