Description
a)炭酸カルシウム含有材料を提供およびか焼する工程、
b)工程a)から得られた反応生成物と塩化アンモニウム水溶液とを消和させる工程、
c)工程b)から得られた塩化カルシウム溶液から不溶性成分を分離する工程、
d)工程c)から得られた塩化カルシウム溶液を炭酸化する工程、
e)工程d)から得られた沈降炭酸カルシウムを分離する工程。
図1では、本発明の方法が、どのように原則として行うことができるかについての有利な実施形態の概要説明をフローシートに示し、排出ガスおよび沈降炭酸カルシウム生成物を精製するために、スクラビングおよび洗浄を含むアンモニアの再利用などの選択的工程をさらに含む。
本発明の方法によって得られた生成物の純度、従って、本発明の方法の効率を決定するために、沈降炭酸カルシウムを次に示すように製造し、また、この化学組成、ならびに供給材料と不良品の化学組成を決定し、次に示す表に概説した。
2.1.1.製造
次に示す実験室試験において、複数の種々の供給材料を、本発明の方法に使用し、次いで、これらの光学的性質について分析した。
試料番号1:Riesel、1mmから4mm、グマーン(Gummern)(オーストリア)
試料番号2:チョーク、ハルミグニエ(Harmignies)(ベルギー)
試料番号3:チョーク、オーディネール・オーメイ(ordinaire Omey)(フランス)
試料番号4:チョーク、ムジェルニク(Mjelnik)(ポーランド)
試料番号5:Riesel、1mmから4mm、グマーン(Gummern)(オーストリア)
試料番号6:Feを多く含む大理石、グマーン(Gummern)(オーストリア)
試料番号7:石灰石、ブルグバーグ(Burgberg)(ドイツ)
試料番号8:石灰石、フォルマー(Vollmer)(ドイツ)
試料番号1を、先行技術の方法によって製造された沈降炭酸カルシウムと比較した。なお、生石灰の消和は、水酸化カルシウムを形成する塩化アンモニウム溶液の代わりに水で行った。
乾燥生成物と供給材料の元素分析、および試料3の不良品を、蛍光X線(Thermo−ARL社のXRF ARL−9400)によって分析した。強熱減量および比表面積の測定(ISO9277に準じて、窒素およびBET法を用いて測定した。)において、標準実験室法を用いた(表3参照)。
2.2.1.製造
7つの技術的計量試験において、本発明の方法を、下表に記載の種々の供給材料およびプロセスパラメータについて評価した。
試料番号9から13:洗浄Riesel、1mmから4mm(大理石)グマーン(Gummern)(オーストリア)
試料番号14から15:チョーク、オーディネール・オーメイ(ordinaire Omey)(フランス)
生石灰を消和させた後のろ過工程の改良の影響について評価するために、上述の試験13および15の試料を、Microdyn−Nadir社の0.2μmPP膜を備えた精密ろ過ユニットの利用によって、再度ろ過した。
Claims (45)
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの製造方法であって、
a)炭酸カルシウム含有材料を提供およびか焼する工程、
b)工程a)から得られた反応生成物と塩化アンモニウム水溶液とを消和させる工程、
c)工程b)から得られた塩化カルシウム溶液から、不溶性成分を分離する工程、
d)工程c)から得られた塩化カルシウム溶液を炭酸化する工程、
e)工程d)から得られた沈降炭酸カルシウムを分離する工程
を含み、
種結晶が、沈殿前に、工程c)から得られた塩化カルシウム溶液に加えられる、
製造方法。 - 工程a)の炭酸カルシウム含有材料が、沈降炭酸カルシウムおよび天然炭酸カルシウム無機質からなる群より選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 天然炭酸カルシウム無機質が、大理石、石灰石、チョーク、および炭酸カルシウムを含む混合アルカリ土類炭酸塩無機質から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 工程a)の未処理炭酸カルシウム材料が、供給材料の全重量を基準として、少なくとも15重量%の最小炭酸カルシウム含量を有することを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程a)の未処理炭酸カルシウム材料が、供給材料の全重量を基準として、少なくとも50重量%の最小炭酸カルシウム含量を有することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 工程a)の未処理炭酸カルシウム材料が、供給材料の全重量を基準として、少なくとも75重量%の最小炭酸カルシウム含量を有することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 工程a)の未処理炭酸カルシウム材料が、供給材料の全重量を基準として、少なくとも90重量%の最小炭酸カルシウム含量を有することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 塩化アンモニウムと酸化カルシウムのモル比が、1:1〜8:1であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 塩化アンモニウムと酸化カルシウムのモル比が、1.5:1〜4:1であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 塩化アンモニウムと酸化カルシウムのモル比が、2:1〜3:1であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、不溶性成分の分離が、篩分け、沈降、およびデカント、および/またはろ過によって行われることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、高分子凝集剤の添加により不溶性成分を除去前に凝集し得、凝集剤は、カチオン性凝集剤、アニオン性凝集剤、および/または非イオン凝集剤を使用し得ることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、高分子凝集剤の添加により不溶性成分を除去前に凝集し得、凝集剤は、ポリアクリル酸系共重合体を使用し得ることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、凝集剤が、乾燥CaOを基準として、1ppm〜50ppmの量で加えられることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、凝集剤が、乾燥CaOを基準として、2ppm〜40ppmの量で加えられることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、凝集剤が、乾燥CaOを基準として、3ppm〜25ppmの量で加えられることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 工程c)において、凝集剤が、乾燥CaOを基準として、5ppm〜15ppmの量で加えられることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 工程d)において、炭酸化が、アルカリ塩化カルシウム溶液中に少なくとも10容量%の二酸化炭素を含む、純粋なガス状二酸化炭素またはテクニカルガスを供給することによって行われることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程e)において、工程d)から得られた沈降炭酸カルシウムが、ろ過によって母液から分離されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程e)の後、沈降炭酸カルシウムが水によって洗浄されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程e)の後、沈降炭酸カルシウムが濃縮または乾燥されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- クローズドプロセスとして行われ、反応物が再利用されることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- バッチ式または連続式で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムが、0.5重量%未満の不純物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムが、0.3重量%未満の不純物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムが、0.1重量%未満の不純物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムが、0.05重量%未満の不純物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムが、アラゴナイト結晶構造、方解石結晶構造、もしくはバテライト結晶構造、またはこれらの混合を有することを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムのTAPPI輝度が、少なくとも88であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムのTAPPI輝度が、少なくとも90であることを特徴とする、請求項29に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムのTAPPI輝度が、少なくとも92であることを特徴とする、請求項29に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムのTAPPI輝度が、95から99であることを特徴とする、請求項29に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの視感反射率Ryが、少なくとも90であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの視感反射率R y が、少なくとも92であることを特徴とする、請求項33に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの視感反射率R y が、少なくとも95であることを特徴とする、請求項33に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの視感反射率R y が、96〜99であることを特徴とする、請求項33に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの黄色度指数が、0.5〜6であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの黄色度指数が、0.7〜3であることを特徴とする、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの黄色度指数が、1〜2であることを特徴とする、請求項37に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの重量メジアン径d50が、20μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの重量メジアン径d 50 が、10μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの重量メジアン径d 50 が、5μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムの重量メジアン径d 50 が、2μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 塗料、プラスチックまたは紙の用途における、請求項1〜43のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得られる、沈降炭酸カルシウムの使用。
- 沈降炭酸カルシウムが、充填材および/または顔料として使用されることを特徴とする、請求項44に記載の使用。
