Description
特許文献1に開示されている回転砥石は、並列された複数の経糸と、該経糸と斜交する複数の第1の斜交糸と、該第1の斜交糸と反対方向から該経糸に斜交する複数の第2の斜交糸とを有するガラスクロスの不織布を補強材として用いたものである。
次に、特許文献2記載の回転砥石について説明する。
同文献に開示された回転砥石は、内部又は表面にガラスクロスを補強材として2層以上設けた回転砥石において、該ガラスクロスを互いに糸の織り方向が略45°又は135°に交錯するように配置されたものである。
而して、該ガラスクロスはメタノール溶性フェノールレジンでプリプレグに形成させ、このプリプレグの間に砥粒を挟んで所定の成形法により製造されているものである。
即ち、回転砥石は、その使用中において、刃先の減った砥粒は、絶えず新しい刃を出現させるが、この新しい刃が駄目になると、該刃を構成する砥粒が脱落し、次の新しい砥粒が出現するのであるが、この新しい砥粒の出現時において、前記特許文献1及び2に開示された回転砥石は研削時において砥粒が欠けることなく、概してその儘の状態で脱落し、鋭い研削刃を形成することができない。
依って、研削時において、回転砥石の自生作用を最も効率良く期待できると共に、鋭い新しい刃の出現を可能にして研削作用が円滑且つ、正確に実現できるようにするために解決せられるべき技術的課題が生じてくるのであり、本発明は該課題を解決することを目的とする。
上記ガラスクロスは直径0.1mmの捻糸から成り、且つ、縦横の長さが2.0mmのメッシュに形成される目抜平織・綾織又は絡み織にて織成され、該ガラスクロスに液状レジン樹脂を装着してプリプレグにした後、該プリプレグの両面に樹脂被膜砥粒を装着し、次に、両面に樹脂被膜砥粒層が形成されたプリプレグを圧搾機にて圧搾し、更に金型にて所定のプレス加工を施して前記樹脂被膜砥粒層中の各砥粒を前記ガラスクロスの各メッシュに夫々抱持させた後、焼成炉にて焼成して製造されることを特徴とする回転砥石の製造法を提供するものである。
図1乃至図3は、回転砥石1を示し、図1はその平面図、図2は図1のA−A線断面図、第3図は図2の○内の拡大断面図である。同図に示すように、回転砥石1は中央部に設けた中央孔2に金属製の補強リング3を嵌着させ、ここにグラインダ等の回転砥石駆動モーターのシャフトが嵌着されて回転砥石1が回転駆動され、被研削物を研削するように構成されている。

Claims (1)
- グラインダの砥石回転駆動用シャフトを嵌合するための中空部を有し、且つ、補強材として用いられる一枚又は複数枚のガラスクロスに液状レジン樹脂を装着してプリプレグを形成し、該プリプレグに樹脂被膜砥粒層を積層して製造される回転砥石の製造法において、
上記ガラスクロスは直径0.1mmの捻糸から成り、且つ、縦横の長さが2.0mmのメッシュに形成される目抜平織・綾織又は絡み織にて織成され、該ガラスクロスに液状レジン樹脂を装着してプリプレグにした後、該プリプレグの両面に樹脂被膜砥粒を装着し、次に、両面に樹脂被膜砥粒層が形成されたプリプレグを圧搾機にて圧搾し、更に金型にて所定のプレス加工を施して前記樹脂被膜砥粒層中の各砥粒を前記ガラスクロスの各メッシュに夫々抱持させた後、焼成炉にて焼成して製造されることを特徴とする回転砥石の製造法。
