Description
本実施形態では、絶縁層は、圧電活性部に含まれる部分であって、素子本体の表面に第1内部電極および第2内部電極が露出している部分を少なくとも覆っている。すなわち、図3において、絶縁層7は、第1内部電極3a〜3cおよび第2内部電極4a〜4cの長さLの部分を少なくとも覆う。
本実施形態では、抵抗層8は、図1に示すように、その両端部が外部電極(第1外部電極5および第2外部電極6)上に形成され、第1外部電極5および第2外部電極6を物理的および電気的に接続している。
次に、本実施形態に係る積層型圧電素子の製造方法の一例を説明する。該積層型圧電素子を製造する方法としては、特に制限されず、公知の方法を用いればよいが、以下の説明では、シート法を用いる場合を例示する。

Claims (3)
- 複数の圧電体層と、第1内部電極と、前記第1内部電極とは極性が異なる第2内部電極と、が積層された素子本体と、
前記第1内部電極と電気的に接続され、前記素子本体の表面に形成された第1外部電極と、前記第2内部電極と電気的に接続され、前記素子本体の表面に形成された第2外部電極と、
前記素子本体において、電圧印加により機械的変位を生じる部分のうち、前記素子本体の表面に前記第1内部電極および前記第2内部電極が露出している部分を少なくとも覆う絶縁層と、
前記第1外部電極と前記第2外部電極とを電気的に接続するように形成され、前記絶縁層よりも低い電気抵抗値を有する抵抗層と、を有し、
前記絶縁層の上に前記抵抗層が形成され、
前記抵抗層は前記第1外部電極および前記第2外部電極の一部を覆う積層型圧電素子。 - 前記抵抗層は前記第1内部電極および前記第2内部電極に接触していない請求項1に記載の積層型圧電素子。
- 前記抵抗層の材質は、導電性粒子を含む絶縁性樹脂である請求項1または2に記載の積層型圧電素子。
