Description

Claims (26)

少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射がそこを通って伝搬するように構造化された、第二のコア及び少なくとも一つの第二のクラッドを含む第二のマルチクラッドファイバ構造、
前記第一及び第二のクラッドが互いに融着される少なくとも一つの部分を含み、
前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射は、試料に出射される電磁放射であり、
前記少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射は、前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射と関連した試料からの電磁放射であり、
前記少なくとも一つの部分内の第一及び第二のコア間のコアモード結合比が、約1%未満である、製品。 - 第一及び第二のコアが、前記少なくとも一つの部分内において互いに離れている、請求項1に記載の製品。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内の第一及び第二のコア間の分離が、前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射又は前記少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射の少なくとも一つの波長より大きい、請求項2に記載の製品。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内の第一及び第二のコア間のコアモード結合比が、約0.1%未満である、請求項1に記載の製品。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内の第一及び第二のクラッド間のクラッドモード結合比が、約10〜90%である、請求項1〜4のいずれかひとつに記載の製品。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内の第一及び第二のクラッド間のクラッドモード結合比が、約40〜60%である、請求項5に記載の製品。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内の第一及び第二のクラッド間のクラッドモード結合比が、およそ50%である、請求項6に記載の製品。
- 前記第一及び第二のクラッドファイバ構造が、ダブルクラッドファイバ構造である、請求項1〜7のいずれかひとつに記載の製品。
- 前記第一及び第二のマルチクラッドファイバ構造の光学特性が実質的に同一である、請求項1〜8のいずれかひとつに記載の製品。
- さらに、前記少なくとも一つの第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造及び前記少なくとも一つの第二のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のうちの少なくとも一つに結合している少なくとも一つのシングルモードファイバ構造、ここで、該少なくとも一つのシングルモードファイバ構造は、そこを通る電磁放射の伝搬を妨げるように構造化された少なくとも一つの第三のクラッドを含む、を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれかひとつに記載の製品。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれかひとつに記載の製品であって、
前記第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造は、前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射が通過した後、前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射と関連する、試料からの少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射を受け取り、そして少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射をコア及び少なくとも一つの第一のクラッドを介して伝搬する、及び
前記第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つの第一のクラッドに沿って伝わる少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射は、前記少なくとも一つの部分において、少なくとも変更又は分割され、少なくとも一つの第四の電磁放射が前記第二のマルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つの第二のクラッドに沿って伝搬する、ことを特徴とする製品。 - さらに、前記少なくとも一つの第四の電磁放射を検出するために構成された第三の構造を含む、請求項11に記載の製品。
- 前記少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射が、散乱光である、請求項11または12に記載の製品。
- 少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を提供するために構成された第一の構造、及び
その少なくとも一つが、前記第一の構造からの前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を受け、かつ前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を試料に出射し、そして、その各々が、そこを通って前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を伝搬するように構造化されたコア及び少なくとも一つのクラッドからなる少なくとも2つのマルチクラッドファイバ構造を含む第二の構造、を含み、
前記第二の構造はさらに、少なくとも2つのマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッドの少なくとも一つがお互いに融着する少なくとも一つの部分を含み、
ここで、第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つは、少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射と関連した、試料からの少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射を受け、かつそのコア及びクラッドを介して少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射を伝搬し、
ここで、前記第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つのクラッドに沿って伝わる少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射は、前記少なくとも一つの部分において、少なくとも変更又は分割され、少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射が、第二のマルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つのクラッドに沿って伝搬し、
ここで、前記少なくとも一つの部分内のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のコア間のコアモード結合比は約1%未満である、システム。 - さらに、前記少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射を検出するために構成された第三の構造を含む請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射が、蛍光放射又は散乱光である請求項14または15に記載のシステム。
- 前記マルチクラッドファイバ構造のコアが、前記少なくとも一つの部分内で互いに分離されている、請求項14〜16のいずれかひとつに記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内の前記マルチクラッドファイバ構造のコアが、前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射又は前記少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射の少なくとも一つの波長より大きい、請求項14〜17のいずれかひとつに記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のコア間のコアモード結合比が、約0.1%未満である、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッド間のクラッドモード結合比が、約10〜90%である、請求項14〜19のいずれかひとつに記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッド間のクラッドモード結合比が、約40〜60%である、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの部分内のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッド間のクラッドモード結合比が、約50%である、請求項21に記載のシステム。
- 前記マルチクラッドファイバ構造がダブルクラッドファイバ構造である、請求項14〜22のいずれかひとつに記載のシステム。
- 前記マルチクラッドファイバ構造の各々の光学特性が実質的に同一である、請求項14〜23のいずれかひとつに記載のシステム。
- さらに、前記マルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つに結合した少なくとも一つのシングルモードファイバ構造を含む請求項14〜24のいずれかひとつに記載のシステム、ここで、少なくとも一つのシングルモードファイバ構造は、そこを通しての少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射又は少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射の少なくとも一つの伝搬を妨げるように構造化された、少なくとも一つのさらなるクラッドを含む。
- 第一の構造を用いて少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を提供すること、
前記第一の構造からの前記少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を受けること、かつ、第二の構造の少なくとも2つのマルチクラッドファイバ構造の少なくとも一つを用いて試料に少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射を出射すること、ここで、前記マルチクラッドファイバ構造の各々は、そこを通じて少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射が伝搬するように構造化されたコア及び少なくとも一つのクラッドを含み、
前記第二の構造はさらに、そこで少なくとも2つのマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッドの少なくとも一つが互いに融着する少なくとも一つの部分を含み、
少なくとも一つの第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造を用い、少なくとも一つの第一の電磁放射と関連した試料からの少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射を受けること、及びそのコア及びクラッドを介して少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射を伝搬すること、及び
少なくとも一つの前記第一のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッドに沿って伝わる少なくとも一つの第二の電磁放射を、少なくとも一つの部分において、少なくとも変更又は分割し、少なくとも一つの第二のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のクラッドに沿って少なくとも一つの第三の電磁放射を伝搬すること、を含み、
ここで、少なくとも一つの部分内のマルチクラッドファイバ構造のコア間のコアモード結合比が約1%未満である、方法。
