アルミナ粒子間に位置する粒界相は、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、及び、バリウムからなる2A族元素群から選択される少なくとも一種の元素と、ランタン、ネオジム、プラセオジム、イットリウム、イッテルビウム、及び、セリウムからなる希土類元素群から選択される少なくとも一種の元素と、ジルコニウム、チタン、クロム、ニオブ、マンガン、及び、鉄からなる第1の元素群から選択される少なくとも一種の元素とを含み、
任意の断面における180μm×250μmの視野において、電子線マイクロアナライザ(EPMA)により、酸化物換算にて元素定量を行ったとき、
前記希土類元素群から選択された元素の総量をX(質量%)とし、前記2A族元素群から選択された元素の総量をY(質量%)とし、前記第1の元素群から選択された元素の総量をZ(質量%)としたとき、
0.40≦Y/X≦2.00
0.10≦Z/X≦0.40
を満たすことを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- アルミナを主成分とし、ケイ素を含有する点火プラグ用絶縁体であって、
アルミナ粒子間に位置する粒界相は、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、及び、バリウムからなる2A族元素群から選択される少なくとも一種の元素と、ランタン、ネオジム、プラセオジム、イットリウム、イッテルビウム、及び、セリウムからなる希土類元素群から選択される少なくとも一種の元素と、ジルコニウム、チタン、クロム、ニオブ、マンガン、及び、鉄からなる第1の元素群から選択される少なくとも一種の元素とを含み、
任意の断面における180μm×250μmの視野において、電子線マイクロアナライザ(EPMA)により、酸化物換算にて元素定量を行ったとき、
前記希土類元素群から選択された元素の総量をX(質量%)とし、前記2A族元素群から選択された元素の総量をY(質量%)とし、前記第1の元素群から選択された元素の総量をZ(質量%)としたとき、
0.40≦Y/X≦2.00
0.10≦Z/X≦0.40
を満たすことを特徴とする点火プラグ用絶縁体。 - 前記第1の元素群から選択された元素が二種以上存在することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の点火プラグ用絶縁体。
- 前記視野において、前記アルミナ粒子の平均粒径が2.0μm以上4.5μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の点火プラグ用絶縁体。
- 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の点火プラグ用絶縁体を有することを特徴とする点火プラグ。
