Claims (13)
- ハブ輪と複列の転がり軸受と等速自在継手とがユニット化され、ハブ輪がホイールに取り付けるためのフランジを有し、転がり軸受が、内周に外側軌道面を有する外方部材と、ハブ輪の外周に嵌合され、外周に内側軌道面を有する内方部材と、外側軌道面と内側軌道面との間に介在させた転動体とを有し、ハブ輪とハブ輪の内周に嵌挿した等速自在継手の外側継手部材とが連結された車輪用軸受装置であって、
ハブ輪と、ハブ輪の孔部に嵌挿される外側継手部材の軸部とが一体化される凹凸嵌合構造を備え、凹凸嵌合構造が、外側継手部材の軸部に設けられた凸部と、外側継手部材の軸部をハブ輪の孔部に圧入することで形成された凹部とを有し、軸部の外径面の凸部とその凸部に嵌合するハブ輪の内径面の凹部との嵌合接触部位全域が密着しており、外側継手部材の軸部をハブ輪の孔部に圧入することで、車輪用軸受装置に求められるトルク負荷容量を備えた前記凹凸嵌合構造が完成しており、凸部の圧入始端側の端部に、ハブ輪に対する切削性を持つ、軸方向に対して直交する面が形成され、凹部が凸部によって切削された部分を有し、かつ外側継手部材の軸部とハブ輪の内径面との間に軸部抜け止め構造を設けたことを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記ハブ輪の孔部は、凹凸嵌合構造の凹部が形成される軸部嵌合孔と、この軸部嵌合孔の反継手側の端部から反継手側に向かって拡開するテーパ孔とを備え、軸部抜け止め構造は、外側継手部材の軸部から反継手側に延びて前記テーパ孔に係止するテーパ状係止片から構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記ハブ輪の孔部は、凹凸嵌合構造の凹部が形成される軸部嵌合孔と、この軸部嵌合孔の反継手側の端部から外径側に延びる段付面とを備え、軸部抜け止め構造は、外側継手部材の軸部から外径方向に延びて前記段付面に係止する外鍔状係止片から構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記テーパ状係止片は、外側継手部材の軸部のハブ輪の孔部への圧入完了状態で外側継手部材の軸部の一部が拡径されてなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記テーパ状係止片は、外側継手部材の軸部の端部に設けられた調芯用の短円筒部が拡径されてなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置
- 前記外鍔状係止片は、外側継手部材の軸部のハブ輪の孔部への圧入完了状態で外側継手部材の軸部の一部が外径側に突出するように加締られてなることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 凸部の少なくとも軸方向端部の硬度をハブ輪の孔部内径部よりも高くした請求項1〜請求項6のいずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記圧入によるハブ輪の孔部の凹部形成によって生じるはみ出し部を収納するポケット部を外側継手部材の軸部に設けたことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項7のいずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 凸部の突出方向のいずれかの部位が、ハブ輪の孔部のうち、凹部形成前の凹部形成面の位置に対応することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項8のいずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- ハブ輪の前記凹部形成面の内径寸法を、外側継手部材の軸部のうち、凸部の最大外径寸法よりも小さく、かつ凸部間の最小外径寸法よりも大きく設定したことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 凸部の突出方向中間部位の周方向厚さを、周方向に隣り合う凸部間における前記中間部位に対応する位置での周方向寸法よりも小さくしたことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項10のいずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 凸部の突出方向中間部位の周方向厚さの総和を、周方向に隣り合う凸部間に嵌合する相手側の凸部における前記中間部位に対応する位置での周方向厚さの総和よりも小さくしたことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記等速自在継手の外側継手部材は、内側継手部材が内装されるマウス部と、このマウス部の底部から突設される前記軸部とを備え、ハブ輪の端部を加締ることでハブ輪に外嵌される転がり軸受の内方部材に対して予圧が付与されており、前記マウス部がハブ輪端部と非接触状とされることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項12のいずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
