Description
溶接接続を形成するための環状壁の圧力面を形成することとなる円錐形ノズルが形成される。
参考例として図1に示される摩擦溶接接続は、円錐形の反対圧力面2を有する回転体1から構成され、前記反対圧力面2は凹部4を有するシートメタル要素3に対して押圧され、反対圧力面2は、凹部4の円形で実質的に円筒状の環状壁5に対して押圧される。反対圧力面2の円錐形状に起因して、反対圧力面2を有する回転体1の挿入に際して凹部4の圧力面6に高い圧力がかかり、そのため、回転体1が適切に高速で回転すると、結果として圧力面6の表面が軟化され、それにより、黒い領域7によって示される摩擦溶接接続が最終的に生じる。摩擦溶接接続7がこのように生成される場合は、反対圧力面6から派生する径方向の圧力が圧力面6の上に実質的に存在するので、また、シートメタル要素3の凹部によってシートメタル要素3に安定性が与えられるので、このような摩擦溶接接続7の生成のためには、回転体1によってシートメタル要素3に高い圧力が及ぼされるにもかかわらず、反支持部の使用に頼る必要はない。回転体1はこの態様で摩擦溶接接続によってシートメタル要素に固定的かつ恒久的に固定され、次いで前記回転体1は、たとえば車体パネルにアーク溶接された溶接埋込ボルトの使用から公知のように、いかなる他の構成要素も取付けるよう機能することができる。
参考例としての図5による設計は、回転体の挿入方向に対向して延在する凹部13を有するシートメタル要素3を含み、この場合、凹部13の外側が回転体1によって囲まれる。この目的のために、凹部13の、ここでは円錐状の環状壁14が回転体1の内部円錐15と対向し、回転体1の反対圧力面16は、ここでは同様に円錐状の環状壁14を囲む。この設計では、圧力面15を有する環状壁14と円錐形に形成される反対圧力面16とは双方が互いに押圧されるので、それによって直ちに相当な長さにおいて対応する圧力を生じる結果となり、したがって、この接触表面を加熱すると、前記加熱が黒い領域で示される摩擦溶接接続17を生じる。
Claims (2)
- シートメタル要素とそれに挿入された回転体であって、これらの部分は摩擦溶接接続によって一体に接続されており、
前記シートメタル要素(3)はノズル(45)を形成する突出した円形環状壁(43)を含み、前記環状壁(43)は一つの圧力面(6)を形成しており、前記回転体(1)は拡張用円錐(42)を含んでいて対向圧力面(2)で前記圧力面(6)に押圧されており、両方の押圧面(2、6)が円錐状に延在しており、前記回転体(1)の挿入によって前記拡張用円錐(42)が前記環状壁(43)に増大する圧力を加えて拡張させており、前記回転体(1)と前記環状壁(43)との間に存在する摩擦溶接接続(44)が前記回転体(1)を回転させることによって達成されており、
前記ノズルを形成する前記環状壁(43)は前記回転体(1)が挿入される方向に前記シートメタル要素(3)から突出しており、
前記ノズル(45)の形成のために、前記回転体(1)は挿入される尖った先端部(41)と続いて前記ノズル(45)に溶接するための前記拡張用円錐(42)が与えられており、形成されたノズル(45)とこのノズルに沿う前記回転体(1)の摩擦面とが前記摩擦溶接接続(44)を構成していることを特徴とするシートメタル要素とそれに挿入された回転体。 - 前記回転体の円錐は径方向の外側へ広がる実質的に平坦な端面(36)に結合していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシートメタル要素とそれに挿入された回転体。
