Description
本発明の他の目的は溶接やろう付けが難しい金属部材に機械的特性の優れた中実の突起を形成する方法及び突起形成装置を提供することにある。
本発明の別の目的は機械的特性の優れた中実の突起を有する金属部品を提供することにある。
被加工金属部材とし、その表面にステンレス製の加工治具による摩擦攪拌を利用して突起を形成する場合である。マグネシウム及びマグネシウム系合金は軽量金属材で携帯型情報端末、家電製品、自動車部品、鉄道用車両等の金属部品として広く使用される傾向にある反面、溶接、ろう付けする方法が適用できない問題点があり、普及には解決する課題が残されている。本発明はこの問題を解決することが出来る。
Claims (1)
- 加工台に載置固定された被加工金属部材の一部を押圧することで被加工金属部材の金属組織を維持して塑性流動させる成形法によって、金属組織を維持した被加工部材突起部を被加工金属部材に形成する形成方法に、
外面が断面円形状とされ、内部に加工先端に向けた開口が形成され、加工先端部に加工面が形成された断面リング形状部分を備え、被加工金属部材の一部を押圧することで金属組織を維持した被加工金属部材を塑性流動させて被加工金属部材突起部を形成可能で、かつ回転駆動源および押圧力制御手段を備え、保持治具に支承された加工治具が用いられ、
保持治具による押圧の下、加工治具からの押圧によって金属組織の維持された被加工金属部材および微細化された被加工金属部材が開口方向に押圧され、
該加工治具が、回転数が500〜5000rpm、押圧力が50kg/cm 2 以上に制御される圧力制御と被加工金属部材面上への突起の形成位置が制御される位置制御とによって操作され、
加工面の被加工金属部材の接触表面への押圧接触がなされたときに、押圧接触された表面領域の下部領域の内側の被加工金属部材を摩擦撹拌させず、金属組織を維持し、塑性流動可能な状態に形成し、
表面領域を回転摩擦による攪拌を行って表面領域の被加工金属部材の組織を微細化し軟化させる摩擦撹拌加工を行い、該軟化微細化された金属組織の表面領域の被加工金属部材を、金属組織を維持した状態で、塑性流動可能とされた状態に形成された被加工金属部材と一体に塑性流動可能に形成し、押圧手段と共に押圧力を付与し、金属組織を維持した被加工金属部材を内側とし、該軟化微細化された金属組織の表面領域の被加工金属部材を表面側として開口方向に、開口内に、塑性流動させ、
もって内部側に、金属組織の維持された被加工金属部材突起部が、そして表面側に微細化された金属組織の表面領域の被加工金属部材突起部が形成され、押圧加工前の被加工金属部材の表面よりも高い位置を持つ突起が形成されること
を特徴とする被加工金属部材に突起を形成する突起形成方法。
