Claims (7)
- 円盤状の正・負極材と、これら正・負極材の間に介在されて前記正極材の周側面をカバーするセパレータとを発電要素とし、
前記発電要素を収容する電池缶が、円形の底面壁の外周から周側壁を上向きに曲げた金属製の正極缶と、円形の上面壁の外周から周側壁を下向きに曲げた金属製の負極缶とからなり、
前記負極缶の前記周側壁に前記底面壁に接触する状態で装着されたガスケットを介して、前記正極缶の前記周側壁の開口上端部分を内向きにかしめ加工することで、前記電池缶が構成されており、
前記正極材の外径寸法が、前記電池缶の内径寸法よりも小さく設定されていて、該正極材の外周面は該電池缶の内周面と所定間隔を置いて配置されており、
前記正極缶の前記底面壁の上面には、電池内方に向かって延びる突起が設けられており、
前記正極材が、前記突起を該正極材内に侵入させた状態で、前記電池缶内に収容されており、
前記突起は、平板形状のスパイク部材を前記電池缶の内方へ折り曲げることで設けられており、
前記スパイク部材は、導電性を有する素材で形成されていて、前記電池缶の内面に固定されていることを特徴とする扁平形電池。 - 前記正極材は、所要厚さの盤状に形成されていて、その厚さ方向の一端側の端面が前記電池缶の内面に対面しており、
前記突起は、前記正極材の前記端面から前記正極材内に侵入しており、
前記突起は、前記電池缶の内方への突出寸法が前記正極材の厚さ寸法の1/5〜1/3の範囲内の寸法になるよう設定されている請求項1に記載の扁平形電池。 - 前記突起は、先端が尖った三角形状に形成されている請求項1又は2に記載の扁平形電池。
- 前記電池缶には、複数個の前記突起が設けられており、
前記各突起は、前記電池缶の内面から上向きに折り曲げて形成してある請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載の扁平形電池。 - 前記スパイク部材は、矩形の平板形状になっており、
前記スパイク部材の各角部分を前記電池缶の内方へそれぞれ折り曲げることで、先端が尖った三角形状の前記突起を前記スパイク部材の各角部分にそれぞれ設けてある請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載の扁平形電池。 - 前記正極缶の底面の中央部がステップ状に凹んでおり、当該中央部に前記突起が設けられていて、前記中央部で前記正極材を受け止めた状態で前記突起が前記正極材内に侵入している請求項5に記載の扁平形電池。
- 前記正極材は、当該正極材の側面部から当該正極材の下面の縁部にかけて剛性を有する正極リングが装着される請求項5又は6に記載の扁平形電池。
