Description
また、従来の切削加工に比べて刃具を交換することがなく、また従来の鍛造法では長い筒状で内径が小さなバルブガイドは成形できなかったが本発明方法によれば、容易に成形できる。特に、内周部に油溝を成形することも簡単に行える。
Claims (1)
- バルブステムを摺動案内し、バルブ素材にバルブステムが挿通される内周部よりも大径の凹部を形成する工程と、この大径の凹部にバルブステムと略同径のマンドレルを挿入し、このマンドレルを挿入した素材の外側からスウェージング加工して大径の凹部の内径をマンドレル外径まで縮径する工程を含むバルブガイドの成形方法において、前記大径の凹部の内周面にはスウェージング加工後に油溝として残る溝部を予め形成しておくことを特徴とするバルブガイドの成形方法。
