Description
現在の往復式内燃機関装置には、中央隔壁を有し又は無隔壁の軽量でかつ高強度のテーパ付ピストンピンを経済的に製造する方法が必要である。本発明は、価格効果のある効率的な工程を通じて冷間成形されかつ中央隔壁を有し又は無隔壁のテーパ付ピストンピンを製造する製造方法を提供する。
図3及び図4に示す本発明の実施の形態では、ほぼ円柱状の小片20,30(図3A、図4A)に金属棒を切断する工程と、金型を使用して小片20,30を押出成形して、小片20,30に第1の空洞部22,32(図3B、図4B)を形成する工程と、金型を使用して小片20,30を押出成形して、小片20,30に第2の空洞部24,34(図3C、図4C)を形成する工程と、小片20,30を穿孔して、小片20,30を中空円筒状片50,68(図3D、図4D)に形成する工程と、金型を使用して中空円筒状片50,68の一端を押出成形して、中空円筒状片50,68の各端部の内面にテーパを有する中空円筒状片50,68を形成する工程とを使用して製造されるテーパ付ピストンピンを含む。テーパ付ピストンピンは、中空円筒状片50,68の端部に第1の金型ポンチを挿入して、第1の金型ポンチにより、中空円筒状片50,68の内面に予め選択された第1の鋭角で第1のテーパを形成する工程を使用して製造される。また、テーパ付ピストンピンは、中空円筒状片50,68の端部に第2の金型ポンチを挿入して、第2の金型ポンチにより、中空円筒状片50,68の内面に対して予め選択された第2の鋭角で第2のテーパを形成する工程を使用して製造される。更に、テーパ付ピストンピンは、第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角が第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より小さく又は大きい。
Claims (9)
- 金型を使用して中空円筒状片の一端部又は両端部を押出成形して、一端部又は両端部の内側面に長さ方向テーパを有する中空円筒状片を形成する工程を含み、
長さ方向テーパを有する中空円筒状片を形成する工程は、
中空円筒状片の一端部又は両端部内に単一又は複数の先のポンチを挿入して、単一又は複数の先のポンチにより、中空円筒状片の内径を減少させずに中空円筒状片の内面に予め選択された第1の鋭角の第1のテーパを形成する工程と、
単一又は複数の先のポンチによりテーパを形成した中空円筒状片の一端部又は両端部に単一又は複数の次のポンチを挿入して、単一又は複数の次のポンチにより、中空円筒状片の内径を減少させずに予め選択された第2の鋭角の最終輪郭の第2のテーパを中空円筒状片の内面に形成する工程とを含むことを特徴とするテーパ付ピストンピンの製造方法。 - 第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角は、第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より小さい請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- 第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角は、第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より大きい請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- ほぼ円柱状の小片に金属棒を切断する工程と、
金型を使用して小片を押出成形して、第1の空洞部を小片に形成する工程と、
金型を使用して小片を押出成形して、第2の空洞部を小片に形成する工程と、
小片を穿孔して、小片を中空円筒状片に形成する工程と、
金型を使用して中空円筒状片の各端部を押出成形して、中空円筒状片の各端部の内面にテーパを有する中空円筒状片を形成する工程とを含み、
テーパを有する中空円筒状片を形成する工程は、
中空円筒状片の端部に第1の金型ポンチを挿入して、第1の金型ポンチにより、中空円筒状片の内径を減少させずに中空円筒状片の内面に予め選択された第1の鋭角の第1のテーパを形成する工程と、
第1の金型ポンチにより第1のテーパを形成した中空円筒状片の端部に第2の金型ポンチを挿入して、第2の金型ポンチにより、中空円筒状片の内径を減少させずに予め選択された第2の鋭角の最終輪郭の第2のテーパを中空円筒状片の内面に形成する工程とを含むことを特徴とするテーパ付ピストンピンの製造方法。 - 第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角は、第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より小さい請求項4に記載の製造方法。
- 第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角は、第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より大きい請求項4に記載の製造方法。
- 小片を穿孔して、小片を中空円筒状片に形成する工程と、
金型を使用して中空円筒状片の各端部を押出成形して、中空円筒状片の各端部の内面に長さ方向テーパを有する中空円筒状片を形成する工程とを含み、
長さ方向テーパを有する中空円筒状片を形成する工程は、
中空円筒状片の端部に第1の金型ポンチを挿入して、第1の金型ポンチにより、中空円筒状片の内径を減少させずに中空円筒状片の内面に予め選択された第1の鋭角の第1のテーパを形成する工程と、
第1の金型ポンチにより第1のテーパを形成した中空円筒状片の端部に第2の金型ポンチを挿入して、第2の金型ポンチにより、中空円筒状片の内径を減少させずに予め選択された第2の鋭角の最終輪郭の第2のテーパを中空円筒状片の内面に形成する工程とを含むことを特徴とするテーパ付ピストンピンの製造方法。 - 第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角は、第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より小さい請求項7に記載の製造方法。
- 第2のテーパの予め選択された第2の鋭角は、第1のテーパの予め選択された第1の鋭角より大きい請求項7に記載の製造方法。
