Description
この態様によれば、閾値電圧を超えるオーバーシュート時に、昇圧回路の出力に接続されている負荷回路以外に、別途電流を逃がす第2の補助回路をオンし、オーバーシュートによる急峻な出力電圧の立ち上がりをなだらかにすることができる。
電池202は、電池電圧Vbatを出力する。電源装置100は、電池電圧Vbatを昇圧し、駆動電圧VoutをLED204のアノードに出力する。定電流回路206は、LED204のカソードと接地間に設けられ、LED204に流す定電流を生成し、LED204を所望の輝度で発光させる。LED204、定電流回路206は、図1の負荷回路18に相当する。制御部208は、電子機器200全体を統括的に制御するブロックである。定電流回路206は、制御部208から指示された電流値にもとづいて定電流を生成し、LED204の輝度を制御する。
Claims (10)
- 設定された昇圧率で入力電圧を昇圧する、昇圧回路と、
前記昇圧回路の出力電圧が設定電圧と等しくなるように、帰還により前記昇圧回路の入力電圧を調節するレギュレータと、
前記出力電圧と前記設定電圧より高い所定の閾値電圧とを比較し、前記出力電圧が前記閾値電圧よりも高いときに昇圧停止信号を出力する電圧比較器と、
前記昇圧停止信号を受けて、前記昇圧回路の入力電圧を強制的に降下させる第1の補助回路と、
を備えることを特徴とする電源装置。 - 前記第1の補助回路は、前記昇圧回路の入力端子と接地間に設けられ、前記昇圧停止信号によりオンする第1のスイッチ素子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電源装置。
- 前記昇圧停止信号を受けて、前記昇圧回路の昇圧動作を停止させる手段をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電源装置。
- 前記昇圧停止信号を受けて、前記昇圧回路の出力電圧を強制的に降下させる第2の補助回路をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の電源装置。
- 前記昇圧停止信号を受けて、前記レギュレータから前記昇圧回路への電流供給を制限する電流制限回路をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の電源装置。
- 前記第2の補助回路は、前記昇圧回路の出力端子と接地間に設けられ、前記昇圧停止信号によりオンする第2のスイッチ素子を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電源装置。
- 設定された昇圧率で入力電圧を昇圧する昇圧回路と、
前記昇圧回路の出力電圧が設定電圧と等しくなるように、帰還により前記昇圧回路の入力電圧を調節するレギュレータと、
前記出力電圧と前記設定電圧より高い所定の閾値電圧とを比較し、前記出力電圧が前記閾値電圧よりも高いときに昇圧停止信号を出力する電圧比較器と、
前記昇圧停止信号を受けて、前記レギュレータから前記昇圧回路への電流供給を制限する電流制限回路と、
を備えることを特徴とする電源装置。 - 前記レギュレータは、
前記昇圧回路の出力電圧と、前記設定電圧の誤差を増幅する誤差増幅器と、
前記誤差増幅器の出力によりオンの程度が制御されるトランジスタと、を含み、
前記電流制限回路は、前記トランジスタの制御端子と固定電圧間に設けられたスイッチ素子を含むことを特徴とする請求項5または7に記載の電源装置。 - 設定された昇圧率で入力電圧を昇圧する昇圧回路と、
前記昇圧回路の出力電圧が設定電圧と等しくなるように、帰還により前記昇圧回路の入力電圧を調節するレギュレータと、
前記レギュレータによる入力電圧の調節よりも速い応答速度で前記入力電圧を調整する補助回路と、
を備えることを特徴とする電源装置。 - 発光素子と、
前記発光素子に駆動電圧を供給する請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の電源装置と、
を備えることを特徴とする電子機器。
