本実施例は、ある特定の組成を示すセラミックにおいて、希土類元素の存在形態を様々に変化させた積層セラミックコンデンサを作製し、それによる特性の変化を評価したものである。
本実施例は、誘電体セラミックの組成を様々に変化させ、その種々の特性への影響をみるものである。
(nは電気的中性を保つための正の数)において、誘電体セラミックが表5に示す組成となるように、積層セラミックコンデンサを作製した。製造条件は実施例1と同じであり、混合粉末30の熱処理温度及びスラリーの粉砕条件は実施例1における試料番号18と同じであった。また、評価項目及び評価条件も実施例1と同じとした。断面観察における、希土類元素の固溶形態は、実施例1の試料番号18と同じ結果となった。表6に諸特性の結果を示す。
本実施例は、ある特定の誘電体セラミック組成において、様々な焼結助剤を用いた誘電体セラミックからなる積層セラミックコンデンサを作製し、その影響をみたものである。

Claims (5)
- 一般式ABO3(Aは、Ba及びCaのうちのBaを含む少なくとも一種であり、Bは、Ti、Zr及びHfのうちのTiを含む少なくとも一種である。)で表わされる主成分と、希土類元素、Cu、Si、及びMgとMnのいずれか一種を含む添加成分と、を含む組成を有し、且つ前記ABO3を主成分とする結晶粒子と結晶粒子間を占める粒界とからなる構造を有する誘電体セラミックであって、
前記誘電体セラミックの断面を観察したとき、前記結晶粒子のうちの55〜85%の個数の結晶粒子については前記希土類元素の存在する領域が90%以上であり、且つ前記結晶粒子のうちの15%〜45%の個数の結晶粒子については前記希土類元素の存在する領域が10%未満である、という条件を満足すると共に、
前記粒界における希土類元素の平均濃度の、前記結晶粒子の内部の希土類元素の存在する領域における希土類元素の平均濃度に対するモル比が、2未満であることを特徴とする誘電体セラミック。 - 前記粒界における希土類元素の平均濃度の、前記結晶粒子の内部の希土類元素の存在する領域における希土類元素の平均濃度に対するモル比が1以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の誘電体セラミック。
- 前記ABO3が(Ba1−xCax)mTiO3(ただし、0≦x≦0.03、1.001≦m≦1.012)で表わされ、且つ前記添加成分が希土類元素、Mg、Mn、Cu及びSiを含み、
前記添加成分の含有量は、前記ABO3100モル部に対して、
希土類元素が0.1モル部以上1モル部以下であり、
Mgが0.1モル部以上2モル部以下であり、
Mnが0.05モル部以上0.5モル部以下であり、
Cuが0.1モル部以上3モル部以下であり、
Siが0.2モル部以上2モル部以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の誘電体セラミック。 - 請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の誘電体セラミックを製造する方法であって、
ABO3粉末を用意する工程と、
前記ABO3粉末と、希土類元素及びCuと共にSiを混合して熱処理し、前記希土類元素が部分的に固溶した変性ABO3粉末を得る工程と、
前記変性ABO3粉末にMg及びMnのうちいずれか一種を添加して粉砕し、粒子断面における希土類元素の固溶領域が90%以上の粉末粒子と、粒子断面における希土類元素の固溶領域が10%未満の粉末粒子とを含むセラミック原料粉末を得る工程と、
前記セラミック原料粉末を焼成する工程と、を備える
ことを特徴とする誘電体セラミックの製造方法。 - 複数の誘電体セラミック層が積層された積層体と、複数の前記誘電体セラミック層間の界面に沿って形成された内部電極と、を備える積層セラミックコンデンサであって、
前記誘電体セラミック層が、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の誘電体セラミックからなることを特徴とする積層セラミックコンデンサ。
