Claims (6)
- 膨張時に乗員を向く乗員面及びそれと反対側の車体面を有し、内部が少なくとも上室及び下室の2室を含む複数の室とガス発生器の収容室とに区画されたエアバッグと、
該収容室内に配置されたガス発生器と
を備えた側突用エアバッグ装置において、
該エアバッグの該乗員面と該車体面とを結合し、略上下方向に線状に延在するガス分配用結合線を有しており、
該ガス分配用結合線とエアバッグの一方の側縁との間に該収容室が形成されており、
該収容室と該下室とは下室用流出口を介して連通しており、該収容室と該上室とは上室用流出口を介して連通しており、
該上室と該下室とは、該上側流出口、該収容室及び該下側流出口を介してのみ連通していることを特徴とする側突用エアバッグ装置。 - 請求項1において、該収容室の下部に下向きに該下室用流出口が設けられており、
該下室用流出口が上室用流出口よりも大きいことを特徴とする側突用エアバッグ装置。 - 請求項1又は2において、該ガス発生器は、一端側にガス噴出部を有したロッド状であり、該ガス噴出部を下側にして該収容室内に配置されていることを特徴とする側突用エアバッグ装置。
- 請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項において、該乗員面と該車体面とを結合し、線状に延在する区画用結合線によって、該エアバッグ内に前記複数の室が区画されており、
前記ガス分配用結合線と該区画用結合線とが連なっていることを特徴とする側突用エアバッグ装置。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項において、該エアバッグの該乗員面と該車体面とを結合する線状結合部が設けられており、
該線状結合部は、略水平部と上下方向部とからなる略L字状であり、該上下方向部が前記ガス分配用結合線となっており、
該略水平部の前端は該エアバッグの前縁に連なっており、該ガス分配用結合線とエアバッグの後縁との間に該収容室が形成され、該略水平部とエアバッグの下縁との間に該下室が形成されていることを特徴とする側突用エアバッグ装置。 - 請求項5において、該ガス分配用結合線の上下方向の途中部分から該エアバッグの前縁にわたり、該エアバッグの該乗員面と該車体面とを線状に結合する水平線状結合部が設けられており、
該水平線状結合部と該エアバッグの上縁との間に該上室が形成されており、該略水平線状結合部と該略水平部との間に中室が形成されており、
該ガス分配用結合線のうち該略水平線状結合部との交叉点よりも下部に、該中室と該収容室とを連通する中室用流出口が設けられているか、又は、該略水平線状結合部に、該中室と該上室とを連通する中室用流出口が設けられていることを特徴とする側突用エアバッグ装置。
