Description
前記送風機は、熱負荷に合わせて風量が調整されて駆動される。水素タンク、特に水素吸蔵合金が収容された水素タンクを冷却する場合、水素の充填開始から一定の送風量で風を吹き付ける場合は送風機の制御が簡単となるが、ラジエータで冷却する熱負荷は一定ではない。従って、送風量を一定として短時間で水素充填を行うと送風機が無駄なエネルギーを消費することになる。しかし、この発明では、送風機は、熱負荷に合わせて風量が調整されて駆動されるため、同じ充填時間であってもエネルギー消費量を少なくできる。
以下、本発明を具体化した水素ステーションの第1の実施の形態を図1及び図2に従って説明する。図1は水素充填時における水素ステーションと、車載の水素タンクとの関係を示す概略構成図であり、図2は燃料電池、水素タンク及び熱媒体の流通経路を示す模式図である。
熱媒流路36には、ラジエータ35の入口側にポンプ46が設けられている。ポンプ46は、熱媒流路36内の熱媒体をラジエータ35の入口に側へ送るように設けられている。熱媒流路36は、熱交換部36aの入口及びラジエータ35の出口の中間に設けられた分岐部で分岐されて、ラジエータ35の入口に連結される部分36cを有し、分岐部には電磁三方弁47が設けられている。熱交換部36aの出口側は部分36cに連結されている。
燃料電池33は、環境温度が燃料電池33の発電が可能な予め設定された温度(設定温度)以上の場合に通常運転が行われる。制御装置50は環境温度を計測する温度センサ(図示せず)の検出信号に基づいて、環境温度が前記設定温度以上であれば始動時から通常運転を行い、環境温度が設定温度未満の場合には暖機を行った後、通常運転に移行する。通常運転時には、水素タンク31から水素が燃料電池33のアノード電極側に供給される。また、コンプレッサ34が駆動されて、空気が所定の圧力に加圧されて燃料電池33のカソード電極側に供給される。
(1)水素ステーション11は、所定圧力で水素ガスが充填された蓄ガス設備12と、蓄ガス設備12から供給される水素ガスを車載の水素タンク31に充填するディスペンサ13と、車両30のラジエータ35に向かって風を吹き付けることが可能な送風機14とを備えている。従って、車両30の水素タンク31に水素を充填する際、車両30側に設けられた水素タンク31の冷却系のラジエータ35に向かって送風機14から送風することにより、一般的な車両に搭載されるラジエータ冷却用のファン45より単位時間当たり多量の風を吹き付けることができる。その結果、車載のファン45を使用する場合に比較して短時間で水素充填を行うことができる。また、車両30側の冷却構造を変更することなく実施することができる。
次に第2の実施形態を図3に従って説明する。この実施形態は、水素ステーション11に冷却手段が設けられ、送風機14は前記冷却手段で外気より低温に冷却された状態の風をラジエータ35に向かって吹き付けるようになっている点が前記第1の実施形態と異なっており、その他の構成は同じである。前記第1の実施形態と同一部分は同一符号を付して詳しい説明を省略する。
(6)送風機14は、冷却手段20で外気より低温に冷却された状態の風をラジエータ35に向かって吹き付ける。従って、ラジエータ35における放熱能力が向上し、外気をそのまま吹き付ける場合に比較して、水素タンク31を冷却する熱媒体の温度が低下し、水素充填時間をより短縮することができる。
次に第3の実施形態を図4に従って説明する。この実施形態は、水素ステーションでの水素充填時に、車載のラジエータ35に対して外部に設けられたファン、即ち水素ステーションに設けられた送風機14から吹き付けられた風が効率よくラジエータ35を冷却できる車両30に関するものである。水素ステーションに関しては前記第1の実施形態同じ構成であり、車両30に搭載された燃料電池システムも第1の実施形態と同じである。前記第1の実施形態と同一部分は同一符号を付して詳しい説明を省略する。
○ 水素タンク31への水素充填が開始されたことを検知する検知手段は、ディスペンサ13のホース17に設けられたカプラ16が水素タンク31への水素充填口42aに連結された時にオンとなるスイッチ18に限らない。例えば、ディスペンサ13の水素の流れを検知する流量検知装置を検知手段として、流量検知装置が水素の流れを検知した検知信号に基づいて駆動制御装置19が送風機14の駆動を開始するようにしてもよい。一般にディスペンサ13は、質量流量計を備えているため、質量流量計が流量検知装置として機能する。従って、新たに流量検知装置を設ける必要はない。
○ 車両30に搭載される水素タンク31の本数は4本に限らず、3本以下あるいは5本以上としてもよい。即ち、燃料電池システム32は、1つの燃料電池33と複数の水素タンク31とが連結された構成であっても、1つの燃料電池33に1つの水素タンク31から水素を供給するシステムであってもよい。
〇 車両30は、燃料電池自動車に限らず、水素エンジンを搭載した水素エンジン車であってもよい。
(1)請求項2に記載の発明において、前記検知手段は、ディスペンサのホースに設けられたカプラが水素タンクへの水素充填口に連結された時にオンとなるスイッチで構成されている。
Claims (6)
- 水素ガスが充填された蓄ガス設備と、
前記蓄ガス設備から供給される水素ガスを車載の水素タンクに充填するディスペンサと、
車両のラジエータに向かって風を吹き付けることが可能な送風機と
を備えた水素ステーション。 - 前記ディスペンサから前記水素タンクへの水素充填が開始されたことを検知する検知手段を備え、前記検知手段からの検知信号に基づいて、前記送風機を駆動する駆動制御装置を備えた請求項1に記載の水素ステーション。
- 前記送風機は、冷却手段で外気より低温に冷却された状態の風を前記ラジエータに向かって吹き付ける請求項1又は請求項2に記載の水素ステーション。
- 前記送風機は、熱負荷に合わせて風量が調整されて駆動される請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の水素ステーション。
- 水素を燃料として水素タンクを搭載するとともに、前記水素タンクへ水素ガスを充填する際に水素タンク冷却用に使用するラジエータを備えた車両であって、
前記ラジエータは車両の前側に設けられた室内に設置され、前記室の上部開口を覆うボンネットには、少なくとも前記ラジエータの前側と対応する部分のフロントグリルが一体に形成され、ボンネットが開放された状態においてラジエータの前側が露出されるように構成されている車両。 - 水素を燃料として水素タンクを搭載するとともに、前記水素タンクへ水素ガスを充填する際に水素タンク冷却用に使用するラジエータを備えた車両であって、
前記ラジエータが設置された室の外から該ラジエータに向かって吹き付けられてラジエータを通過した風を前記室の外へ円滑に排出する経路が設けられている車両。
