Claims (3)
- インクが充填された圧力室の容積を変化させてノズルからインク滴を吐出させるアクチュエータを備え、このアクチュエータに、所定の周期間隔ごとに1ドットの吐出指令を与えるとともに、その1ドットの吐出指令に対して複数の吐出パルス信号を間隔をおいて印加することにより、複数のインク滴を記録媒体上のほぼ同一位置に着弾させるインク滴吐出装置において、
前記複数の吐出パルス信号は、その各波高値が同じで、且つ各パルス幅が同じであり、さらに、先行する吐出パルス信号のパルス立ち下がり位置から後行する吐出パルス信号のパルス立ち上がり位置までの間隔(パルス間隔)も、前記パルス幅と同じであるように設定され、
前記複数の各吐出パルス信号を、高温環境下では、その高温環境下で前記圧力室を含むインク流路内を圧力波が片道伝播する時間に対し短めになるようにその時間に対して所定の係数を乗じた値の前記パルス幅およびパルス間隔で印加し、低温環境下では、その低温環境下で前記圧力室を含むインク流路内を圧力波が片道伝播する時間に対し、高温環境下での前記係数よりも大きい係数を乗じた値の前記パルス幅およびパルス間隔で印加し、前記高温環境と低温環境との間の常温環境下では、その常温環境下で前記圧力室を含むインク流路内を圧力波が片道伝播する時間に対し、前記高温環境下及び低温環境下での前記各係数のほぼ間の係数を乗じた値の前記パルス幅およびパルス間隔にて印加することを特徴とするインク滴吐出装置。 - 前記パルス幅およびパルス間隔は、高温環境下では、その高温環境下で前記圧力室を含むインク流路内を圧力波が片道伝播する時間ALH に対しほぼ0.6ALH から0.9ALH の範囲内に設定し、低温環境下では、その低温環境下で前記圧力室を含むインク流路内を圧力波が片道伝播する時間ALLに対しほぼ0.9ALL から1.4ALLの範囲内に設定したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインク滴吐出装置。
- 前記アクチュエータは、前記圧力室の容積を拡大してその圧力室内に圧力波を生じさせ、その後、前記圧力室を含むインク流路内を圧力波が片道伝播する時間に対し前記係数を乗じた時間後、復帰することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のインク滴吐出装置。
