Abstract
【解決手段】略中空の本体内に2つの拡張ウェッジ111,112を有する拡張可能な椎体間固定装置100を含む。椎間板空間への移植後、拡張ウェッジは、装置の中心から端部に向かって同時に移動し、ケージのアーム101〜108が撓み、インプラントのサイズを増大させる。この拡張は、椎間板空間内の装置を安定化させ、椎間板の高さを増加させ、それにより、脊髄神経の椎間孔圧迫を減少させ、最終的な固定のための安定した運動分節を生成する。

Description
本出願は、2014年6月4日に出願された「バイラテラルに拡張する椎体間固定装置」という名称の米国仮特許出願第62/007,500号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、その内容はここに参照により組み込まれる。
本発明の実施形態は、移植可能な骨インプラント又はプロテーゼの分野及びそれらを使用するための外科手術技術にある。

第1の側端を有する第1の座部と、
前記第1の座部の前記第1の側端に結合され、前記第1の座部から離れる第1の横方向に延在する複数の第1の分岐部であって、前記第1の座部及び前記第1の分岐部は第1の内部容積を画定する第1のケージを形成し、各第1の分岐部は第1の内側面及び第1の外側面を有する、第1の分岐部と、
前記第1のケージに嵌合し、スペーサ前進器具の推進によって前記第1の横方向へ移動するように構成された第1のスペーサであって、前記第1のスペーサ及び前記第1のケージは、前記第1のスペーサが前記第1の横方向に推進されるときに、1つ又は複数の第1の分岐部が非拡張位置から拡張位置へ移動するように構成されている、第1のスペーサと、
1つ又は複数の第1の分岐部の前記第1の内側面に形成され、前記第1のスペーサを前記第1の分岐部の第1の側端近傍で可逆的に固定するように構成されている1つ又は複数の第1のショルダと、を備え、

前記第1のケージ及び前記第2のケージは、直接側方椎体間固定(DLIF)ケージを含む、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

各第1の分岐部の前記第1の内側面及び各第2の分岐部の前記第2の内側面は、滑らかでねじ切りされていない、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

前記第1の分岐部は、前記第1のスペーサが前記第1の横方向に推進されたときに非拡張位置から拡張位置に移動し、さらに前記1つ又は複数の第1のショルダを備え、

前記第1の分岐部は、インプラントの双方向の拡張を可能にするように構成され、前記第2の分岐部は、インプラントの双方向の拡張を可能にするように構成される、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

前記第1のケージの前記第1の内部容積から前記第1の座部を通って前記第2の座部へ延在し、前記スペーサ前進器具が通過できるように構成された第1のオリフィスと、
前記第2のケージの前記第2の内部容積から前記第2の座部を通って前記第1の座部へ延在し、前記スペーサ前進器具が通過できるように構成された第2のオリフィスとを含む、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

前記第1の分岐部の第1の最も外側のエッジ部分は、前記第1のスペーサが前記1つ又は複数の第1のショルダによって固定されていないときに第1の非拡張高さを有し、前記第1のスペーサが前記1つ又は複数の第1のショルダによって固定されているときに第1の拡張高さを有し、

前記第1の座部は第1の座部高さを有し、
前記第1の座部高さは、(a)前記第1の非拡張高さ及び前記第2の非拡張高さよりも大きく、(b)前記第1の拡張高さ及び前記第2の拡張高さよりも小さい、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

前記第1の座部は、前記第2の座部と前記第1の側端との間に1つ又は複数の第1の平坦な表面を備え、

前記第1のスペーサの周囲の第1の内側縁はテーパ状であり、

前記拡張位置は活動位置であり、前記非拡張位置は休止位置であり、
インプラントは、前記第1のケージのために複数の第1のスペーサを、前記第2のケージのために複数の第2のスペーサを含む、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

前記スペーサ前進器具を備え、前記スペーサ前進器具が複数のネジ付きロッドを含む、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。

前記スペーサ前進器具は、前記第1の横方向及び前記第2の横方向の少なくともいずれか一方への押圧モジュールの前進に応じて、前記第1の横方向及び前記第2の横方向へ前記第1のスペーサ及び前記第2のスペーサを同時に前進させるように構成されている、椎間スペーシングインプラントシステム。
Claims (1)
- 椎間スペーシングインプラントシステムであって、
第1の側端を有する第1の座部と、
前記第1の座部の前記第1の側端に結合され、前記第1の座部から離れる第1の横方向に延在する複数の第1の分岐部であって、前記第1の座部及び前記第1の分岐部は第1の内部容積を画定する第1のケージを形成し、各第1の分岐部は第1の内側面及び第1の外側面を有する、第1の分岐部と、
前記第1のケージに嵌合し、スペーサ前進器具の推進によって前記第1の横方向へ移動するように構成された第1のスペーサであって、前記第1のスペーサ及び前記第1のケージは、前記第1のスペーサが前記第1の横方向に推進されるときに、1つ又は複数の第1の分岐部が非拡張位置から拡張位置へ移動するように構成されている、第1のスペーサと、
1つ又は複数の第1の分岐部の前記第1の内側面に形成され、前記第1のスペーサを前記第1の分岐部の第1の側端近傍で可逆的に固定するように構成されている1つ又は複数の第1のショルダと、を備え、
前記第1のスペーサが前記1つ又は複数の第1のショルダによって固定されているとき、前記第1の座部の前記第1の側端と前記第1のスペーサとの間の前記第1の内部容積は、リンク手段に占められておらず、
前記椎間スペーシングインプラントシステムはさらに、
