Claims (10)
- 第1有機発光ダイオードを備える第1画素を含む表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルに表示される第1フレーム映像の階調が第1基準階調より低い場合に、前記表示パネルに前記第1フレーム映像が表示される間に前記第1有機発光ダイオードのアノード(anode)電極に第1電圧を印加するパネル駆動部を含むことを特徴とする、表示装置。 - 前記第1電圧は前記第1有機発光ダイオードを初期化させるための初期化電圧であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1画素は、
前記第1有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極と前記初期化電圧との間に連結され、第1初期化制御信号が印加されるゲート電極を備える第1トランジスタをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記パネル駆動部は、
前記第1フレーム映像に相応する映像データに基づいて第1データ信号を発生するデータ駆動部と、
前記第1データ信号に基づいて前記第1フレーム映像の階調を確認して前記第1初期化制御信号を発生する初期化制御部を含むことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記初期化制御部は、
前記第1データ信号を受信する第1入力端子、前記第1基準階調に相応する第1基準信号を受信する第2入力端子、及び前記第1初期化制御信号を出力する出力端子を備える比較器を含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の表示装置。 - 前記初期化制御部は、前記第1データ信号の電圧レベルが前記第1基準信号の電圧レベルより高い場合に、前記第1フレーム映像の階調が前記第1基準階調より低いと判断して前記第1初期化制御信号を活性化させ、
前記第1初期化制御信号が活性化される場合に、前記第1有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極に前記初期化電圧が印加されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の表示装置。 - 前記初期化制御部は、前記表示パネル上に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の表示装置。
- 前記初期化制御部は、前記データ駆動部内に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の表示装置。
- 前記パネル駆動部は、
前記第1フレーム映像の階調が前記第1基準階調より低い場合、及び前記第1フレーム映像と連続して前記表示パネルに表示される第2フレーム映像の階調が第2基準階調より高い場合に、前記表示パネルに前記第1フレーム映像が表示される間に前記第1有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極に前記第1電圧を印加することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記パネル駆動部は、
前記第1フレーム映像の階調が前記第1基準階調より低い場合、及び前記第2フレーム映像の階調が前記第2基準階調より高い場合に、前記第1フレーム映像を追加で変調することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の表示装置。
