Abstract

Claims (7)
- 燃料の燃焼によって水を加熱する燃焼式水加熱装置であって、
燃料を燃焼させて燃焼ガスを生成するバーナと、
内部を通過する水と外部を通過する燃焼ガスとの間で熱交換する熱交換器と、
熱交換器で熱交換した後の燃焼ガスを排気ガスとして排出する排気管と、
排気管を流れる排気ガスの温度を排気温度として検出する排気温度検出手段と、
排気管の閉塞の程度を検出する閉塞程度検出手段と、
排気温度と、排気管の閉塞の程度に基づいて、熱交換器の内部にスケールが堆積しているか否かを判定するスケール堆積判定手段を備える、燃焼式水加熱装置。 - スケール堆積判定手段は、排気温度が上限排気温度を超える場合に、熱交換器の内部にスケールが堆積していると判定するように構成されており、
上限排気温度は、排気管の閉塞の程度が高い場合に、排気管の閉塞の程度が低い場合に比べて、低く設定される、請求項1の燃焼式水加熱装置。 - 上限排気温度が、バーナの燃焼量に基づいて設定される、請求項2の燃焼式水加熱装置。
- スケール堆積判定手段の判定結果の履歴を記憶する記憶手段をさらに備えており、
上限排気温度が、過去に熱交換器の内部でのスケールの堆積が検出されている場合に、過去に熱交換器の内部でのスケールの堆積が検出されていない場合に比べて、低く設定される、請求項2または3の燃焼式水加熱装置。 - バーナに空気を供給する給気管と、
給気管からバーナに空気を送るとともに、排気管へ排気ガスを送るファンと、
ファンの駆動電流を検出する電流検出手段をさらに備えており、
閉塞程度検出手段が、ファンの駆動電流に基づいて、排気管の閉塞の程度を検出する、請求項1から4の何れか一項の燃焼式水加熱装置。 - バーナに配置された高温熱電対をさらに備えており、
バーナが全一次空気バーナであって、
閉塞程度検出手段が、高温熱電対の検出信号に基づいて、排気管の閉塞の程度を検出する、請求項1から4の何れか一項の燃焼式水加熱装置。 - バーナの噴射口から所定距離を隔てて配置された燃焼炎サーミスタをさらに備えており、
バーナがブンゼンバーナであって、
閉塞程度検出手段が、燃焼炎サーミスタの検出信号に基づいて、排気管の閉塞の程度を検出する、請求項1から4の何れか一項の燃焼式水加熱装置。
