Abstract
【解決手段】迂回システム(LIPA及びSIPTO等)を介して旅客用乗り物に配設された複数の情報機器に選択されたコンテンツを配信するWi−Fi及びセルラー方式をともにサポートする。配信システムは、地上のコンテンツシステムから迂回システムを介して複数の旅客用乗り物に選択されたコンテンツを配信するように構成することができる。複数のワイヤレスネットワークに対しトラフィックを動的に分散することにより、配信システムはトラフィックの多いネットワークを緩和し、サービスプロバイダのセルラーコアネットワークを迂回することができるので、信号帯域幅及びネットワーク性能を最適にする。その結果、乗り物の乗客は、少しの遅延で、追加料金が発生することなくコンテンツへの高速アクセスを享受できる。

Description
本発明の一側面は、前記コンテンツを配信するために、第1ワイヤレスネットワークと通信する第1通信接続と、オペレータコアネットワークを含む第2ワイヤレスネットワークと通信する第2通信接続と、前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークおよび第2ワイヤレスネットワークの両方を使用して、前記複数の旅客用乗り物に選択されたコンテンツを同時に配信するために、前記第1および前記第2の通信接続と通信するIPブロードバンド迂回システムとを備え、前記IPブロードバンド迂回システムは、前記選択されたコンテンツが前記オペレータコアネットワークにルーティングすることなく、前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークに前記選択されたコンテンツを配信する。
Claims (22)
- 複数の携帯型機器の間でコンテンツを配信するシステムであって、
コンテンツを配信するために第1ワイヤレスネットワークと通信する第1通信接続と、
オペレータコアネットワークを含む第2ワイヤレスネットワークと通信する第2通信接続と、
前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークおよび第2ワイヤレスネットワークの両方を使用して、前記複数の携帯型機器に選択されたコンテンツを同時に配信するために、前記第1通信接続および前記第2通信接続と通信するIPブロードバンド迂回システムとを備え、
前記IPブロードバンド迂回システムは、前記選択されたコンテンツが前記オペレータコアネットワークにルーティングすることなく、前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークで前記選択されたコンテンツを配信する、システム。 - 前記IPブロードバンド迂回システムは、ローカル・インターネット・プロトコル・アクセス(LIPA)および選択インターネット・プロトコル・トラフィック・オフロード(SIPTO)迂回システムを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークはワイヤレス・フィデリティ(Wi−Fi)ネットワークであり、
前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークはセルラーネットワークである、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記セルラーネットワークは、汎欧州デジタル移動電話方式(GSM)、第3世代(3G)携帯電話ネットワーク、および第4世代(4G)携帯電話ネットワークからなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2通信接続は、ピコセルシステムとフェムトセルシステムのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記選択されたコンテンツは、機内販売に関連するコンテンツ、インターネット、エンターテイメントメディア、電子メール、企業仮想プライベートネットワーク、顧客仮想プライベートネットワーク、ストリームメディアおよびイントラネットシステムからなる視聴コンテンツ群から選択される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- ローカルコンテンツシステムをさらに備え、
前記複数の携帯型機器は、前記ローカルコンテンツシステムから利用できるコンテンツを選択して提示できる、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - リモートコンテンツシステムをさらに備え、
前記リモートコンテンツシステムから利用できるコンテンツは、衛星通信システムを介して前記複数の携帯型機器全体に配信できる、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記複数の携帯型機器は、前記リモートコンテンツシステムからストリーミングされるコンテンツを受信するように構成されている、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1通信接続および前記第2通信接続のそれぞれは、前記複数の携帯型機器を認証するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1通信接続および前記第2通信接続は、拡張認証プロトコル(EAP)方式に基づいて認証するように構成されている、請求項10のシステム。
- 前記IPブロードバンド迂回システムは、現在の負荷、予想負荷、ユーザ数、メディアタイプ、ハンドヘルドデバイスの種類、ディスプレイの解像度、サポートされる無線インターフェース、利用できる無線チャンネル、ストリーミングレート、メディアファイルのサイズ、乗客の視聴挙動、および乗客のブラウジング挙動からなる群から選択される負荷要因に基づいて、前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークおよび第2ワイヤレスネットワークのうちの少なくとも1つを選択して、前記複数の携帯型機器に前記選択されたコンテンツを配信する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記システムは旅客用乗り物に搭載されるように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記旅客用乗り物は航空機を含む、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 複数の旅客用乗り物間でコンテンツを配信する方法であって、
第1ワイヤレスネットワークとの第1通信接続を確立すること、
オペレータコアネットワークを含む第2ワイヤレスネットワークとの第2通信接続を確立すること、
IP迂回システムを介して、前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークおよび第2ワイヤレスネットワークの両方で、前記複数の旅客用乗り物に選択されたコンテンツを同時に配信することを備え、
前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークでの前記配信は前記オペレータコアネットワークを迂回する、方法。 - 前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークはワイヤレス・フィデリティ(Wi−Fi)ネットワークであり、
前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークはセルラーネットワークである、請求項15の方法。 - 前記同時配信することは、1以上の負荷要因に基づいて、前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークおよび第2ワイヤレスネットワークの両方の総ネットワーク帯域幅を最適化することを含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記1以上の負荷要因は、現在の負荷、予想負荷、ユーザ数、メディアタイプ、メディアファイルの種類、乗客の視聴挙動、および乗客のブラウジング挙動からなる群から選択される、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記選択されたコンテンツは、メディアに関連するコンテンツ、コンテンツ、データファイル、保守情報、性能情報、システム使用状況情報、飛行計画情報、運航品質保証(FOQA)、フライトデータモニタリング(FDM)情報、通話コンテンツ、テキストメッセージ、電子メール(e−mail)、テレビ番組コンテンツ、音楽コンテンツ、ポッドキャストコンテンツ、写真アルバムコンテンツ、オーディオブックコンテンツ、映画コンテンツおよびゲームコンテンツからなる視聴コンテンツ群から選択され、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 複数の旅客用乗り物間でコンテンツを配信するシステムであって、
前記コンテンツを配信するために、第1ワイヤレスネットワークと通信する第1通信接続と、
オペレータコアネットワークを含む第2ワイヤレスネットワークと通信する第2通信接続と、
前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークおよび第2ワイヤレスネットワークの両方を使用して、前記複数の旅客用乗り物に選択されたコンテンツを同時に配信するために、前記第1通信接続および前記第2通信接続と通信するIPブロードバンド迂回システムとを備え、
前記IPブロードバンド迂回システムは、前記選択されたコンテンツが前記オペレータコアネットワークにルーティングすることなく、前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークに前記選択されたコンテンツを配信する、システム。 - 前記第1ワイヤレスネットワークはワイヤレス・フィデリティ(Wi−Fi)ネットワークであり、
前記第2ワイヤレスネットワークはセルラーネットワークである、請求項20に記載のシステム。 - 前記IPブロードバンド迂回システムは、LIPA/SIPTO迂回システムを含む、請求項20に記載のシステム。
