Abstract
【解決手段】端子金具2の電線接続部4は、電線Wの先端部を覆って加締めにより電線Wと圧着されるバレル片41と、バレル片41の内面に形成されて電線Wの芯線W1と接続されるセレーション部42と、バレル片41の内面に設けられて電線Wとの隙間を塞ぐ止水部44と、を備え、バレル片41には、セレーション部42よりも前方に設けられて芯線W1の先端を位置決めする突片46が設けられ、突片46によって、芯線W1の先端が位置決めされるので、電線Wの位置ずれを防止することができる。

Description
次に、図1〜図5に基づいて第一実施形態に係る端子金具2Aについて詳しく説明する。この端子金具2Aにおいて、電線接続部4には、図2に示すように、U字状のバレル片41における一方の端縁近傍から前方(電気接触部3の側)に向かって突出する突片46が形成されている。この突片46は、図1、3に示すように、バレル片41が加締められるのと同時に、又はバレル片41が加締められた後に、加締められて電線Wの芯線W1に向かって変形され、芯線W1の先端に当接するように構成されている。即ち、突片46は、芯線W1の先端に当接することで電線Wを長手方向に位置決めする位置決め部として機能するようになっている。なお、突片46は、芯線W1に向かって変形されるものに限らず、図4に示すように、芯線W1の先端よりも前方に延びて設けられ、その内面が芯線W1の先端部に当接するように形成されていてもよい。
次に、図6〜図10に基づいて第二実施形態に係る端子金具2Bについて詳しく説明する。この端子金具2Bにおいて、電線接続部4には、図7に示すように、U字状のバレル片41に設けられた止水部44における一方の端縁近傍から前方(電気接触部3の側)に向かって突出する突片47が形成されている。この突片47は、図6、8に示すように、バレル片41が加締められるのと同時に、又はバレル片41が加締められた後に、加締められて電線Wの芯線W1に向かって変形され、芯線W1の先端に当接するように構成されている。即ち、突片47は、芯線W1の先端に当接することで電線Wを長手方向に位置決めする位置決め部として機能するようになっている。
次に、図11〜図14に基づいて第三実施形態に係る端子金具2Cについて詳しく説明する。この端子金具2Cの電線接続部4において、バレル片41が加締められて電線Wと圧着された状態において、バレル片41の前方側端部には、図11、13に示すように、電線Wの芯線W1に向かって加締めて変形された小径部48が形成されている。この小径部48は、芯線W1の先端に当接するように構成されており、即ち、小径部48は、芯線W1の先端に当接することで電線Wを長手方向に位置決めする位置決め部として機能するようになっている。また、図13(B)に示すように、小径部48の径寸法が小さく形成されていることで、止水部44及び前方止水部45が潰され、これらによってバレル片41の内部が塞がれるようになっている。なお、小径部48は、バレル片41の端縁側に形成されるものに限らず、図14に示すように、バレル片41の底壁側を加締めて形成されたのもであってもよい。

Claims (3)
- 前方からの相手方端子と接続される電気接触部と、該電気接触部よりも後方側にて電線と接続される電線接続部と、を備えた端子金具であって、
前記電線接続部は、前記電線の先端部を覆って加締めにより該電線と圧着されるバレル片と、前記バレル片の内面に形成されて前記電線の芯線と接続されるセレーション部と、前記バレル片の内面に設けられて前記電線との隙間を塞ぐ止水部と、を備え、
前記バレル片及び前記止水部の少なくとも一方には、前記セレーション部よりも前方に設けられて前記芯線の先端を位置決めする位置決め部が設けられていることを特徴とする端子金具。 - 前記位置決め部は、
前記バレル片又は前記止水部の周方向端部にて前方に突出した突片を加締めにより前記芯線に向かって変形させて形成されるか、
又は、
前記バレル片の前方側端部を加締めにより前記芯線に向かって変形させて形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の端子金具。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の端子金具を電線に圧着して端子付き電線を製造するための製造方法であって、
液状の止水材を前記バレル片の内面に塗布して前記止水部を形成するか、又は、シート状の止水材を前記バレル片の内面に貼付して前記止水部を形成し、
前記バレル片を加締めて筒状に変形させて前記電線の先端部を覆うとともに、前記止水部を前記電線に密着させることを特徴とする端子付き電線の製造方法。
