【解決手段】ビスメラミニウム水素アミノトリメタンホスホナトアルミネートベタインに代表される特定構造を有するリン含有トリアジン化合物。本化合物はポリマー中の難燃剤として有効である。

1.モノオレフィンおよびジオレフィンのポリマー,例えば,ポリプロピレン,ポリイソブチレン,ポリブテン−1,ポリ−4−メチルペンテン−1,ポリビニルシクロヘキサン,ポリイソプレンまたはポリブタジエン,およびシクロオレフィン,例えば,シクロペンテンまたはノルボルネンのポリマー,およびポリエチレン(架橋されたものを含む),例えば,高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)または高分子量(HDPE−HMW),超高分子量の高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE−UHMW),中密度ポリエチレン(MDPE),低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)および線状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE),(VLDPE)および(ULDPE)。
アルミニウムトリス二水素ホスフェート(Ia)の製造:23.4g(0.3mol,湿潤)の水酸化アルミニウムを,88.2g(0.9mol,85%)のリン酸に,撹拌および加熱しながら溶解した。
(IVa)の製造:実施例1にしたがって製造した(Ia)の溶液に,89.7g(0.3mol)のアミノトリメタンホスホン酸(IIa)(Dequest 2000,50%溶液,SOLUTIAより)を徐々に加えた。沈殿した白色固体を濾別し,洗浄し,一定重量となるまで乾燥した(二水素アミノトリメタンホスホナトアルミネートベタイン(IVa))。
収率:87g(理論値の約90%);m.p.:>300℃
ビスメラミニウム三水素アミノトリメタンホスホネートベタイン(Va)の製造:89.7g(0.3mol)のアミノトリメタンホスホン酸(IIa)を含む水性溶液(Dequest 2000,50%溶液,SOLUTIAより)に,75.7g(0.6mol)のメラミン(IIIa)を,撹拌し加熱しながら少しずつ加えた。数分後,多量の白色沈殿物が形成され,これを吸引により濾別し,一定重量となるまで乾燥した。
収率:155g(理論値の約94%);m.p.:>300℃
(Va)を200−220℃に加熱することにより,ピロアミノメタンホスホネートベタイン(Xa)を得ることができ,これを30−250℃で数時間加熱することによりポリマー性ピロアミノメタンホスホネートベタイン(XIa)が形成される。
ビスメラミニウム水素アミノトリメタンホスホナトアルミネートベタイン(VIa)の製造:
バリアントA:(IVa)+(IIIa)
32.3g(0.1mol)の(IVa)を800mlの水に懸濁し,撹拌しながら50−60℃に加熱した。この懸濁液に,25.3g(0.2mol)のメラミン(IIIa)を少しずつ加えた。数分以内に多量の白色沈殿物が形成され,これを吸引濾別し,一定重量となるまで乾燥した。
収率:52.0g(理論値の約90%);m.p.:>250℃。
実施例1にしたがって製造した0.15molの(Ia)の溶液を,最初に800mlの水に加え,撹拌しながら50−60℃に加熱した。この溶液に,82.7g(0.15mol)の(Va)を少しずつ加えた。約4時間後,多量の生成物が形成され,これを吸引濾別し,一定重量となるまで乾燥した。
収率:78.0g(理論値の約90%);m.p.:>300℃。
トリスメラミニウムトリス水素ホスファトアルミネート(XIIa)の製造:318.0g(1.0mol)の(Ia)の水性溶液を,378.4g(3.0mol)のメラミン(IIIa)上にスプレーした。乾燥後,生成物の収率はほぼ定量的である;m.p.:>300℃。

- 式(III−1)または式(III−2):

[(A−H)+]m[Mm+(P2O7 4-)m/2] (III−2)
[式中,(A−H)+は,式(IV):
のラジカル,またはその縮合生成物であり;
各Mは,独立して,Ca,Mg,ZnまたはAlであり;
mは2または3である]
の化合物。 - MはMgまたはAlである,請求項1記載の化合物。
- 式(IV)中のXはHである,請求項1または2記載の化合物。
- 請求項1−3のいずれかに記載の化合物をポリマー中の難燃剤として使用する方法。
- ポリマーは熱可塑性ポリマーまたは熱硬化性ポリマーである,請求項4記載の方法。
- 熱可塑性ポリマーは,ポリアミド,ポリウレタン,ポリスチレン,ポリオレフィンまたはポリエステルであり,および熱硬化性ポリマーはエポキシ樹脂である,請求項5記載の方法。
- 請求項1−3のいずれかに記載の化合物を含むポリマー。
- メラミン,リン酸メラミニウムおよびシアヌル酸メラミンからなる群より選択される化合物の少なくとも1つをさらに含有する,請求項7記載のポリマー。
