Abstract
【解決手段】第1のセパレータを挟んで重ねられた正極シートと負極シートとを含む集合シートが第2のセパレータを挟んで捲回された捲回体を有し、正極シート及び負極シートは、それぞれの集電体の両面に活物質合剤層を有し、正極シート若しくは負極シートの少なくとも一方の片面又は両面の活物質合剤層は、複数の開口部を有する領域と、開口部を有していない領域とからなり、集合シートの少なくとも曲げの生じている部分を、複数の開口部を有する領域が覆っている角形リチウム二次電池である。

Description
本実施の形態では、捲回体において集合シートに曲げが生じる部分に相当する活物質合剤層の領域に、複数の開口部を形成した角形リチウム二次電池用の電極シートの構造について、図1、図3乃至図4を用いて説明する。ここで、電極シートとは、正極シート及び負極シートのことをいう。
図2で示した従来例に対し、本実施の形態について図3を用いて説明する。ここでは、正極シートの例について説明するが、負極シートにおいても同様の構成とすることができる。なお、正極シートと負極シートを総じて電極シートとよぶ。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1で示した電極シートの形状又は構造とは異なる形状又は構造の電極シートの例について、図7(A)乃至(C)を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態において、実施の形態1又は2で説明した電極シートとは異なる形状又は構造の電極シートの一例を、図8を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態において、実施の形態1又は2で説明した角型リチウム二次電池の構造及びその製造方法について説明する。
はじめに、正極シート及びその製造方法について説明する。図9(A)は正極シート101の断面図である。正極シート101は、正極集電体110上に正極活物質合剤層111が形成される。正極活物質合剤層111は、開口部114及び島状のパターン115を有する。
次に、負極シート及びその製造方法について、図10(A)を用いて説明する。
以上のようにして製造された正極シート101と負極シート103とを、セパレータ102を間に挟んで重ね合わせ、集合シートを形成する。その後、セパレータ102とは異なるセパレータ105を間に挟んで、集合シートを捲回し捲回体100を作製する。
次に、角形リチウム二次電池の構造の一形態について、図11を用いて説明する。
本発明の一態様に係る角形リチウム二次電池は、電力により駆動する様々な電気機器の電源として用いることができる。
次に、電気機器の一例である携帯情報端末について、図13を用いて説明する。
さらに、電気機器の一例である移動体の例について、図14を用いて説明する。

Claims (9)
- 第1のセパレータを挟んで重ねられた正極シートと負極シートとを含む集合シートが第2のセパレータを挟んで捲回された捲回体を有し、
前記正極シート及び前記負極シートは、それぞれの集電体の両面に活物質合剤層を有し、
前記正極シート若しくは前記負極シートの少なくとも一方の片面又は両面の前記活物質合剤層は、複数の開口部を有する領域と、開口部を有していない領域とからなり、
前記集合シートの少なくとも曲げの生じている部分を、前記複数の開口部を有する領域が覆っていることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1において、
前記複数の開口部は、前記集合シートの長手方向と直交する方向の全長にわたって設けられていることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1又は2において、
前記複数の開口部は、前記複数の開口部を有する領域内において等間隔に配置されていることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1又は2において、
前記複数の開口部は、前記曲げの生じている部分のうち最も曲率半径の小さい部分に向かうほど互いの間隔が短くなっていることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1又は2において、
前記複数の開口部は、前記曲げの生じている部分のうち最も曲率半径の小さい部分に向かうほど密に配置されていることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項において、
前記負極シートが有する前記活物質合剤層は、シリコンを含むことを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項において、
前記正極シート又は前記負極シートがそれぞれ有する前記活物質合剤層は、前記正極シート又は前記負極シートがそれぞれ有する前記集電体の上面及び底面にも設けられていることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項において、
前記第1のセパレータと前記第2のセパレータは、一続きのシートであることを特徴とする角形リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の角形リチウム二次電池を有する電気機器。
