Abstract

一部の実施形態は、また、上述したネットワークの一部であるユニットおよび/またはネットワーク、一方向および/または双方向無線通信システム、セルラー式無線電話通信システム、無線ディスプレイ(WiDi)デバイス、セルラー式電話機、無線電話機、パーソナル通信システム(PCS)デバイス、無線通信デバイスを含むPDAデバイス、モバイルまたはポータブルグローバルポジショニングシステム(GPS)デバイス、GPSレシーバまたはトランシーバまたはチップを含むデバイス、RFID素子またはチップを含むデバイス、多入力多出力(MIMO)トランシーバまたはデバイス、単一入力多出力(SIMO)トランシーバまたはデバイス、多入力単一出力(MISO)トランシーバまたはデバイス、1以上の内部アンテナおよび/または外部アンテナを有するデバイス、デジタルビデオブロードキャスト(DVB)デバイスまたはシステム、多重標準の無線デバイスまたはシステム、有線または無線ハンドヘルドデバイス(例えばBlackBerry,Palm Treo等)、無線アプリケーションプロトコル(WAP)デバイス等との関連で利用されてもよい。
Claims (34)
- 第1方向に偏光された第1信号を通信する第1アンテナエレメントと、
前記第1アンテナエレメントと同一の場所に設置され、前記第1方向に直交する第2方向に偏光された第2信号を通信する第2アンテナエレメントと、
前記第1アンテナエレメントおよび前記第2アンテナエレメントに連結され、前記第1信号および前記第2信号を処理して、無線通信リンクの信号ダイバーシティを達成するドライバ回路と
を備えるシステム。 - 前記第1方向は水平であり、前記第2方向は垂直である請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1方向は右円偏光であり、前記第2方向は左円偏光である請求項1に記載のシステム。
- ミリ波周波数範囲で動作する請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1信号と前記第2信号の間に少なくとも15dBのアイソレーションを提供する請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ドライバ回路は、無線周波数集積回路(RFIC)である請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ドライバ回路に連結されるプロセッサと、前記プロセッサに連結されるメモリと、前記プロセッサに連結されるユーザインタフェースとを含むプラットフォームをさらに備える請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記プラットフォームは、スマートフォン、タブレットまたはラップトップコンピューティングデバイスのいずれかである請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記ユーザインタフェースはタッチスクリーンである請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 各デュアル偏光アンテナエレメントが水平偏光エレメントと垂直偏光エレメントとを含む複数のデュアル偏光アンテナエレメントを含むフェーズドアレイアンテナと、
前記水平偏光エレメントおよび前記垂直偏光エレメントのそれぞれに連結され、前記水平偏光エレメントのそれぞれの間、および、前記垂直偏光エレメントのそれぞれの間に位相オフセットを提供するドライバ回路と
を備えるシステム。 - 前記ドライバ回路は、前記水平偏光エレメントのそれぞれおよび前記垂直偏光エレメントのそれぞれに独立して調節可能な位相遅延を提供する複数のトランシーバを有する請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のトランシーバは、前記水平偏光エレメントのそれぞれの前記調節可能な位相遅延を制御することで、第1フェーズドアレイビームの走査を実装して、前記垂直偏光エレメントのそれぞれの前記調節可能な位相遅延を制御することで、第2フェーズドアレイビームの走査を実装する請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1フェーズドアレイビームの走査および前記第2フェーズドアレイビームの走査により、無線通信リンクの信号ダイバーシティが提供される請求項12に記載のシステム。
- ミリ波の周波数範囲で動作する請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記水平偏光エレメントと前記垂直偏光エレメントとの間に少なくとも15dBのアイソレーションを提供する請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記ドライバ回路はRFICである請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記ドライバ回路に連結されるプロセッサと、前記プロセッサに連結されるメモリと、前記プロセッサに連結されるユーザインタフェースとを含むプラットフォームをさらに備える請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記プラットフォームは、スマートフォン、タブレットまたはラップトップコンピューティングデバイスのいずれかである請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記ユーザインタフェースはタッチスクリーンである請求項17に記載のシステム。
- それぞれが無線ワイドエリアネットワーク(WWAN)を介して通信する複数の前記プラットフォームをさらに備える請求項17に記載のシステム。
- それぞれが無線メトロポリタンエリアネットワーク(WMAN)を介して通信する複数の前記プラットフォームをさらに備える請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 第1方向に偏光された第1信号を通信する第1アンテナエレメントを設定する段階と、
前記第1方向に直交する第2方向に偏光された第2信号を通信する第2アンテナエレメントを、前記第1アンテナエレメントと同一の場所に設置する段階と、
前記第1信号および前記第2信号を処理して、無線通信リンクの信号ダイバーシティを達成するドライバ回路を、前記第1アンテナエレメントおよび前記第2アンテナエレメントに連結する段階と
を備える方法。 - 前記第1方向は水平であり、前記第2方向は垂直である請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記第1方向は右円偏光であり、前記第2方向は左円偏光である請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記第1アンテナエレメント、前記第2アンテナエレメント、および、前記ドライバ回路を、ミリ波周波数範囲で動作するよう設定する段階をさらに備える請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記第1アンテナエレメントと前記第2アンテナエレメントとを、前記第1信号と前記第2信号の間に少なくとも15dBのアイソレーションを提供するよう設定する段階をさらに備える請求項22に記載の方法。
- 複数の前記第1アンテナエレメントおよび複数の前記第2アンテナエレメントをフェーズドアレイアンテナに設定する段階と、
前記ドライバ回路を、前記複数の第1アンテナエレメントのそれぞれの間、および、前記複数の第2アンテナエレメントのそれぞれの間に位相オフセットを提供するよう設定する段階と
をさらに備える請求項22に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の第1アンテナエレメントのそれぞれおよび前記複数の第2アンテナエレメントのそれぞれに独立して調節可能な位相遅延を提供するよう、前記ドライバ回路に関連付けられた複数のトランシーバを設定する段階をさらに備える請求項27に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の第1アンテナエレメントのそれぞれの前記調節可能な位相遅延を制御することで、第1フェーズドアレイビームの走査を実装して、前記複数の第2アンテナエレメントのそれぞれの前記調節可能な位相遅延を制御することで、第2フェーズドアレイビームの走査を実装する段階をさらに備える請求項28に記載の方法。
- 第1方向に偏光された第1信号を通信する第1アンテナエレメントと、
前記第1アンテナエレメントと同一の場所に設置され、前記第1方向に直交する第2方向に偏光された第2信号を通信する第2アンテナエレメントと、
前記第1アンテナエレメントに連結された第1アンテナ供給線と、
前記第2アンテナエレメントに連結された第2アンテナ供給線と
を備え、
前記第1アンテナ供給線からの距離が予め決定された閾値を超えた値に維持されるように前記第2アンテナ供給線の経路を設定するダイバーシティアンテナ。 - 前記予め決定された閾値においては、前記第1アンテナエレメントと前記第2アンテナエレメントの間に、少なくとも15dBのアイソレーションが提供される請求項30に記載のダイバーシティアンテナ。
- 前記第1方向は水平であり、前記第2方向は垂直である請求項30に記載のダイバーシティアンテナ。
- 前記第1方向は右円偏光であり、前記第2方向は左円偏光である請求項30に記載のダイバーシティアンテナ。
- ミリ波周波数範囲で動作する請求項30に記載のダイバーシティアンテナ。
