Abstract
Description
本出願は、「Near Optimal Adaptive Equalization for Recording Channels」と題する、Mathewらによって2007年12月21日に出願された米国特許出願第61/016,231号に対する優先権を主張する(その出願の本出願である)。前述の出願の全体は、あらゆる目的で参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (20)
- 適応等化のための方法であって、
データ処理システムを提供することを含み、前記データ処理システムが等化器回路および目標フィルタ回路を含み、前記等化器回路が、少なくとも部分的に等化器係数に基づいて等化を行うものであり、さらに、
前記等化器回路からの第1の出力と前記目標フィルタ回路からの第2の出力とに基づいて誤差を生成し、
前記誤差の符号間干渉成分を抽出し、
前記符号間干渉成分を使用して等化器勾配を計算し、そして、
少なくとも部分的に前記等化器勾配に基づいて、前記等化器係数を計算する、方法。 - 前記等化器回路にデータ入力を提供することをさらに含み、各セクタがいくつかのサンプルを有するいくつかのセクタを有する記憶媒体から前記データ入力が導出される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記符号間干渉を抽出することがサンプルごとに行われる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記等化器係数を計算することがセクタごとに行われる、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記目標フィルタ回路が少なくとも部分的に目標係数に基づいてノイズ予測フィルタリングを行い、

- 前記目標係数を計算することがセクタごとに行われる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記等化器係数が制約される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記誤差の符号間干渉成分を抽出することが、
誤差値のデータ依存型平均を実施することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 更新可能な等化器係数に基づいてデータ入力を等化し、等化された出力を提供するように動作可能な等化器回路と、
少なくとも部分的に目標係数に基づいて前記データ入力をフィルタし、目標出力を提供するように動作可能な目標フィルタ回路と、
前記目標出力と前記等化された出力の間の差分を決定し、誤差出力を提供する誤差計算回路と、
前記誤差出力の符号間干渉成分を抽出するデータ依存型平均回路と、
少なくとも部分的に前記誤差出力の前記符号間干渉成分に基づいて、等化器勾配を計算するように動作可能な勾配累積回路と、
前記等化器勾配を受け取り、前記更新可能な等化器係数を計算する等化器係数計算回路と、を備える適応等化回路。 - 前記データ入力が、いくつかのサンプルをそれぞれが有するいくつかのセクタを有する記憶媒体から導出される、請求項12に記載の回路。
- 前記データ依存型平均回路が、前記誤差出力の前記符号間干渉成分を抽出するために、サンプルごとに演算する、請求項12に記載の回路。
- 前記等化器係数計算回路が前記更新可能な等化器係数をセクタごとに計算する、請求項14に記載の回路。
- 前記目標係数が更新可能な目標係数であり、目標勾配を計算するように前記勾配累積回路がさらに動作可能であり、
前記目標勾配を受け取り、前記更新可能な目標係数を計算する目標係数計算回路をさらに備える、請求項12に記載の回路。 - 前記データ入力が、いくつかのサンプルをそれぞれが有するいくつかのセクタを有する記憶媒体から導出され、また前記目標係数計算回路が、セクタごとに前記更新可能な目標係数を計算する、請求項15に記載の回路。
- 前記更新可能な目標係数および前記更新可能な等化器係数が制約される、請求項16に記載の回路。
- 送信装置であって、前記送信装置が、
伝送媒体からデータを受け取るように動作可能な受信装置を含み、前記受信装置が、
更新可能な等化器係数に基づいてデータ入力を等化し、等化された出力を提供するように動作可能な等化器回路と、
少なくとも部分的に目標係数に基づいて前記データ入力のフィルタリングを行い、目標出力を提供するように動作可能な目標フィルタ回路と、
前記目標出力と前記等化された出力の間の差分を決定し、誤差出力を提供する誤差計算回路と、
前記誤差出力の符号間干渉成分を抽出するデータ依存型平均回路と、
少なくとも部分的に前記誤差出力の前記符号間干渉成分に基づいて等化器勾配を計算するように動作可能な勾配累積回路と、
前記等化器勾配を受け取り、かつ前記更新可能な等化器係数を計算する等化器係数計算回路とを備える、送信装置。 - 前記送信装置が記憶装置であり、前記伝送媒体が磁気記憶媒体である、請求項19に記載の送信装置。
