Abstract
【解決手段】少なくとも3つの発光ユニットを積層した発光素子であって、発光素子の発光スペクトルは2つのピークを有しており、その2つのピークのうち1つのピークは2つの発光ユニットからの発光スペクトルを合成したものである。該ピークは黄色から橙色の波長領域にあり、かつ、該ピークの波長は560nm以上580nm未満にある。これにより、視感度の高い波長領域を利用することができ、電力効率を高めることができる。発光素子から発光される光の色は、色度図における黒体軌跡に近くなり、電球色のような自然な光の色を実現することができる。

Claims (13)
- 陽極と、陰極と、を有し、
前記陽極と前記陰極との間に、第1の発光層と、第2の発光層と、第3の発光層と、第1の中間層と、第2の中間層と、を有し、
前記第1の中間層は、前記第1の発光層と前記第2の発光層との間に設けられ、
前記第2の中間層は、前記第2の発光層と前記第3の発光層との間に設けられ、
前記第1乃至第3の発光層のいずれか2つの発光層からの発光スペクトルは、黄色から橙色の波長領域にピークを有し、前記2つの発光層からの発光スペクトルを合成した発光スペクトルは1つのピークを有し、該ピークの波長は560nm以上580nm未満にあり、
前記第1乃至第3の発光層の他の1つの発光層からの発光スペクトルは、青色の波長領域にピークを有することを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1において、
前記陽極または前記陰極の一方と、前記第1の発光層と、前記第1の中間層とで、第1の発光ユニットが構成され、
前記第1の中間層と、前記第2の発光層と、前記第2の中間層とで、第2の発光ユニットが構成され、
前記第2の中間層と、前記第3の発光層と、前記陽極または前記陰極の他方とで、第3の発光ユニットが構成されることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、
前記第1乃至第3の発光層のいずれか2つの発光層は、それぞれ発光性の物質を有し、該発光性の物質は燐光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか一において、
前記第1乃至第3の発光層の他の1つの発光層は、発光性の物質を有し、該発光性の物質は蛍光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1または請求項2において、
前記第1乃至第3の発光層のいずれか2つの発光層は、それぞれ第1の発光性の物質を有し、該第1の発光性の物質は燐光性化合物であり、
前記第1乃至第3の発光層の他の1つの発光層は、第2の発光性の物質を有し、該第2の発光性の物質は蛍光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一において、
前記黄色から橙色の波長領域にピークを有し、該ピークの波長が560nm以上580nm未満にある光と、
前記青色の波長領域にピークを有する光と、
を合成した光の色は、色度図における黒体軌跡から±0.02uvの範囲内にあることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 少なくとも3つの発光ユニットを積層した発光素子であって、
前記発光素子の発光スペクトルは、2つのピークを有し、
前記2つのピークのうちの1つのピークは、前記少なくとも3つの発光ユニットのうちの2つの発光ユニットからの発光スペクトルを合成したものであり、該ピークは黄色から橙色の波長領域にあり、かつ、該ピークの波長は560nm以上580nm未満にあり、
前記2つのピークのうちの他の1つのピークは青色の波長領域にあることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項7において、
前記少なくとも3つの発光ユニットのうちの前記2つの発光ユニットは、それぞれ、発光スペクトルのピークが黄色から橙色の波長領域にあることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項7または請求項8において、
前記少なくとも3つの発光ユニットのうちの前記2つの発光ユニットは、それぞれ、発光スペクトルのピークが黄色から橙色の波長領域にある発光性の物質を有し、該発光性の物質は燐光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項7乃至9のいずれか一において、
前記少なくとも3つの発光ユニットのうちの1つの発光ユニットは、発光スペクトルのピークが青色の波長領域にある発光性の物質を有し、該発光性の物質は蛍光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項7または請求項8において、
前記少なくとも3つの発光ユニットのうちの前記2つの発光ユニットは、それぞれ、発光スペクトルのピークが黄色から橙色の波長領域にある第1の発光性の物質を有し、該第1の発光性の物質は燐光性化合物であり、
前記少なくとも3つの発光ユニットのうちの1つの発光ユニットは、発光スペクトルのピークが青色の波長領域にある第2の発光性の物質を有し、該第2の発光性の物質は蛍光性化合物であることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項7乃至11のいずれか一において、
前記黄色から橙色の波長領域に前記ピークを有し、かつ、前記ピークの波長が560nm以上580nm未満にある光と、
前記青色の波長領域に前記ピークを有する光と、
を合成した光の色は、色度図における黒体軌跡から±0.02uvの範囲内にあることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至12のいずれか一における前記発光素子を光源として用いたことを特徴とする照明装置。
