Abstract
【解決手段】コネクタハウジングに嵌合装着される銅系材料製の圧着端子2と被覆付きアルミ電線1との圧着部に、当該圧着部を厚さが規定以下の防水性の粘着テープ6によって密封した防水構造を形成することで、圧着部に防水性を確保することが可能になり、しかも、圧着端子2のコネクタハウジングへの装着性が防水構造の装備によって損なわれることを回避することもできる。

Description
(1)コネクタハウジングに嵌合装着される銅系材料製の圧着端子と被覆付きアルミ電線との圧着部の防水処理方法であって、
前記圧着部を含む圧着領域を厚さが規定以下の防水性の粘着テープによって密封した防水構造を形成することを特徴とする圧着部の防水処理方法。
前記被覆付きアルミ電線の端部に露出させた圧着用芯線部を前記圧着端子に圧着接続する電線圧着工程と、
前記電線圧着工程の後に実施され、前記圧着端子の端子首部に突出した前記圧着用芯線部の先端部から前記圧着端子の被覆加締め部の後端に及ぶ圧着領域を含む範囲を前記粘着テープで覆う圧着部テープ被覆工程と、
前記端子首部に被覆されている前記粘着テープの開口部を前記端子首部の対向面に押圧して、前記端子首部と前記粘着テープとの間の隙間を無くした密封状態を得るテープ押圧工程と、
を備えたことを特徴とする上記(1)に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。
前記被覆付きアルミ電線の端部に露出させた圧着用芯線部を前記圧着端子の芯線加締め部に圧着する前に実施され、前記芯線加締め部から端子首部に突出する前記圧着用芯線部の先端部の端面及び周囲を前記粘着テープで覆う芯線末端被覆処理工程と、
芯線末端被覆処理工程を終えた被覆付きアルミ電線を圧着端子に圧着する電線圧着工程と、
前記電線圧着工程後に実施され、前記圧着領域を含む範囲を前記粘着テープにより覆う圧着部テープ被覆工程と、
を備えたことを特徴とする上記(1)に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。
図1〜図5は、本発明に係る圧着部の防水処理方法の第1実施形態を示したものである。
圧着端子2は、金属板のプレス成形品で、図1に示すように、相手の接続端子が嵌合する端子嵌合部21と、被覆付きアルミ電線1の圧着用芯線部12を圧着する芯線加締め部22と、被覆付きアルミ電線1上の圧着用芯線部12に隣接する被覆部11aを固定する被覆加締め部23とを備えている。
この圧着部テープ被覆工程は、図2(a)および図2(b)に示すように、前述の圧着領域4を含む範囲を、粘着テープ6で覆う工程である。
押圧治具71は、図3に示すように、端子首部24の開口に挿入されて粘着テープ6の開口部61を押し潰す押圧金具72と、この押圧金具72を支持した治具本体73とを備えている。
治具本体73の矢印Y方向への移動動作は、押圧している粘着テープ6をしごく動作に使われる。
図6〜図9は、本発明に係る圧着部の防水処理方法の第2実施形態を示したものである。
圧着部テープ被覆工程は、図9に示すように、圧着端子2上の圧着用芯線部12の先端12aから被覆加締め部23の後端に及ぶ圧着領域4を含む範囲を透明な粘着テープ6Bにより覆う工程である。

Claims (6)
- コネクタハウジングに嵌合装着される銅系材料製の圧着端子と被覆付きアルミ電線との圧着部の防水処理方法であって、
前記圧着部を含む圧着領域を厚さが規定以下の防水性の粘着テープによって密封した防水構造を形成することを特徴とする圧着部の防水処理方法。 - 前記防水構造を形成する工程として、
前記被覆付きアルミ電線の端部に露出させた圧着用芯線部を前記圧着端子に圧着接続する電線圧着工程と、
前記電線圧着工程の後に実施され、前記圧着端子の端子首部に突出した前記圧着用芯線部の先端部から前記圧着端子の被覆加締め部の後端に及ぶ圧着領域を含む範囲を前記粘着テープで覆う圧着部テープ被覆工程と、
前記端子首部に被覆されている前記粘着テープの開口部を前記端子首部の対向面に押圧して、前記端子首部と前記粘着テープとの間の隙間を無くした密封状態を得るテープ押圧工程と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。 - 前記テープ押圧工程では、端子の上を覆っている粘着テープを端子表面に押圧した状態でしごいて、粘着テープを端子表面に密着状態に接着させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。
- 前記テープ押圧工程では、粘着テープが適度の延性を発揮する加熱状況下にて前記粘着テープを相手面に押圧して、粘着テープを相手面に密着させることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。
- 前記防水構造を形成する工程として、
前記被覆付きアルミ電線の端部に露出させた圧着用芯線部を前記圧着端子の芯線加締め部に圧着する前に実施され、前記芯線加締め部から端子首部に突出する前記圧着用芯線部の先端部の端面及び周囲を前記粘着テープで覆う芯線末端被覆処理工程と、
芯線末端被覆処理工程を終えた被覆付きアルミ電線を圧着端子に圧着する電線圧着工程と、
前記電線圧着工程後に実施され、前記圧着領域を含む範囲を前記粘着テープにより覆う圧着部テープ被覆工程と、
を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。 - 前記芯線末端被覆処理工程及び圧着部テープ被覆工程では、粘着テープが適度の延性を発揮する加熱状況下にて前記粘着テープを相手面に押圧して、前記粘着テープを相手面に密着させることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の圧着部の防水処理方法。
